Arrewa:See the nonsense you are saying... He should keep quiet... everyone should keep quiet while the situation gets worse and you come online to cry without taking action.... Leave Zulum alone. He doesn't have to be a coward like you want him to be. |
Wonderful. Day in day out, the media keeps churning out fake news... so much so that Nigerians can no longer distinguish between truth and lies... Just like the three corruption riddled arms of government has failed Nigerians woefully, the fourth arm, the media, is also failing Nigerians woefully with false, fake and inaccurate reportage... Corruption is a disease that has eaten deep into the soul of our society... We must collectively rise up against it. It is corruption and greed that will push someone to publish fake news to attract traffic in other to earn income from Google AdSense or promote hatred, lies and confusion in Nigeria... Those kinds of people deserve to have their 10 fingers trimmed off from the knuckles. |
Wonderful... If all the trillions stashed by our public officials abroad had been used to create factories and other production enterprises across the length and breadth of Nigeria, this country would have become the China of Africa by now. Instead, we still struggle to get 6 hours of electricity daily, monthly minimum wage can't sustain you more than 15 days, roads and infrastructure in deplorable conditions while most of the youths now have turn to crime and fraud to make quick money... We have lost our pride as a nation and lost our values as a society all because some people want to be so stupendously wealthy and become lords over the common man... We allow ourselves to be used by these looters to spread religious and ethnic hatred amongst ourselves while they continuously loot our national wealth to stash abroad and inside wells where such money can't add any value to Nigeria except make the thieves more powerful and able to afford spreading hatred and deceit in Nigeria to perpetuate their stay in power. When are we going to rise up and demand for their heads on a spike, the heads of those who steal public funds and abuse the trust bestowed on them by the masses? When! Wake up Nigerians... If they can pass a death sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, then let us demand for a death sentence for those found guilty of corruption. Armed robbery and kidnapping may not result in death and if it does only few are affected... But you see corruption, it kills in hundreds and thousands daily without anyone realising... The soldiers and security operatives who die daily because their superior officers have looted funds meant to provide security equipments... The passengers who die because of an accident resulting from trying to maneuver and dodge potholes on roads... Those who die because they can't afford adequate health care as a result of someone somewhere looting the funds meant for such...etc... Hundreds and thousands die daily because of the activities of corrupt people. It is time we demand for their own end as well so that the country can leave it's stagnant status and move forward |
Wonderful. If anyone could have tackled Nigeria's biggest challenge head-on, it would have been the one with a PhD who's seated like a sheep up there. Unfortunately, he failed Nigerians and failed the entire southern Nigeria. He went there and proved to all of us that politicians are mostly scum. Aiding and abetting looters like it was the reason millions voted for him across ethnic divides. He has given me enough reason to believe that only a Draconian law will eradicate corruption from public life in Nigeria. Draconian problems need Draconian solutions. It's time we start hanging corrupt public officials just as corruption is hanging millions of ordinary Nigerians by the neck and killing us all slowly, snuffing life out of everyone that claims this geographical space as a home. This should be our new clarion call. |
Wonderful. We will beat a goat thief into coma and burn those who steal a rubber of garri alive. Yet, we sing the praises of those who have kept us in perpetual suffering and poverty and tear at each others throat in support of those whose days of Reckoning has come and have been placed before trial... It's because he's yoruba, it's because he's Ibo, it's because he's not hausa. The chants of foolish people who don't know that corruption is their main problem and not the goat thief on whom they vent maximum anger. Nigeria will move forward once we direct maximum anger at corrupt public officials instead. |
Wonderful... But please which arm of the judiciary workers? Is it the one that issued a court judgement preventing the strike or the one that has allowed itself to become a traded commodity in the hands of the corrupt Nigerian class? Nigeria will move forward once we realize that our chief problem lies in the endemic corruption of public officials and not in increase in price of certain social goods and services.. A thousand protests of this nature won't get us anywhere... Instead, we should all collectively protest and shut down the country unless a law is passed prescribing death penalty or life imprisonment without pardon plus confiscation of all assets of those found guilty of corruption... Till then, Nigeria won't move forward. |
More like a fight over who has not destroyed Nigeria more... If restructuring means creating more states, local government and political offices then such restructuring should be thrown into the pits of hell. Such restructuring will never solve our problems. Rather it will worsen it. The main problem we have in Nigeria is corruption, which can manifest itself as abuse of power and nepotism... If we fight corruption head on like Singapore and Kenya have done, we will rise up from the ashes we are currently in. Kill corruption in Nigeria, kill corrupt public officials and seize all their looted funds simple. Next, we should restructure our own type of democracy which is a zero sum game, winner takes all, and very antidemocratic and retrogressive in the real sense. Our democracy should be such that if one party fails to secure at least 90% of votes in an election, then a unitary govt should compulsorily be formed where the party with the highest vote takes governorship seat and deputy or president and vice president... While other positions will be shared to the party or parties that score the next highest votes up until they collectively reach 90% ... This type of government is representative of the people and is the true democracy.....not dividing Nigeria and creating more offices for looters to come in in the name of restructuring... 15 million Nigerians voted for APC in 2019 More than 11 million voted for another party... Who is representing the more than 11 million voters in the government? Why should APC take everything? Why won't the other parties continuously antagonize the winner and create all manner of instability till they also get to win election? Endemic corruption and a winner takes all democracy is what is killing Nigeria. |
Congratulations to our politicians... They have managed to make Nigeria the laughing stock of all nations... They loot our billions and run to USA and other first world countries to spend the loots... Buying exotic apartments in Dubai, like Atiku, in UK like Deziani and USA like Bukola... All this money could build and revitalise our real estate sector and even make Nigeria the prime destination for tourists... But no... They steal from our country and big banks like HSBC help them ferry the loot abroad... They use their family members as conduit pipes to loot and bleed the country dry... meanwhile the common man keeps dying everyday from hardship, bad roads, poor healthcare etc... Corruption has eroded both the public and private sector and killing Nigeria and Nigerians daily yet we don't want to kill it... Is it not high time we start hanging those who loot from the treasury? The north will readily agree but will the south support this move? The south with all its intellectual sophistication is the driver and enabler of corruption in Nigeria. The impoverished people there cannot use their intellect to challenge and effect a positive change in Nigeria... Their opposition to govt is only to give them an opportunity to get into power and steal from the treasury and abuse office. Truly we have become sophisticated fools in Nigeria... Perhaps the whole world should ban us from their countries and force us to return and fix this country instead of destroying it with our stupidity then running away to another country. It will shock you to know that 80% of Nigerians abroad are southerners... South South, south east and south west. |
gagadey:Very fine thank you... I really don't understand what you mean by political permutations... Perhaps you should read the post again to understand it better... The outcome of the election doesn't change the truth in the post. Cheers |

Hmm... PDP is just acting like a child who is convulsing and high on cheap drugs. I can't count how many propaganda information they have released today... Acting like they're the opposition who is being oppressed while in fact they're the incumbent buying votes at polling units and harassing voters in areas where they are not popular in Edo. PDP is only waiting for opportunity to wreck havoc on Edo treasury like they did from 1999 to 2008 and I'm hopeful Edo voters will deny them that chance. |
Rule 8. Don't post false information on Nairaland. Cc: lalasticlala If you see this Barcanista spreading lies anywhere, just click report on the his post, type 8 and send. He'll be banned and the post deleted. |
Mac2016:If you keep quiet you won't die... Even USA airlines are banned from entering EU... You country is taking a proactive step to defend it's people and economic interests and you're singing nonsensical tunes. If you were in South Korea you would be used as suya for your unnationalistic mindset |
Life is simply... Who love you, love am Who hate you, hate am Who ban your airline, ban their own x 100 Nigeria would have been better than all these countries if not for the stupid and selfish leaders we have. You loot billions and go store in Dubai, UK, USA, etc... Billions and hard currency that can be used to develop our real estate sector, set up different companies and inject life into Nigeria economy... You loot the funds and keep it in these countries to help them grow while your own country remains a dustbin. We should start hanging or electrocuting looters in Nigeria |

Asking them not to shed blood while your government has armed weed smokers around Benin with live guns in the name of vigilantee groups and your deputy is being praised for being the leader of strong cult group in Edo and also commander of political thugs, some of which where captured on video removing roof of house of assembly... Sir, you're a big disappointment and you deserve to be voted out |
CodeTemplar: Keeping looking to the north as the source of your problems while your southern leaders impoverish southern lands via reckless and senseless looting... Joshua Dariye of Plateau got 14 years Jolly Nyame of Taraba got 14 years James Bala Ngilari of Adamawa got 5 years They are from the north... Show me protests of northerns against their conviction... Show me where they are being praised and honoured today in the north for their corruption. Lucky Igbinedion got 6 months for looting 25 billion... He paid 3.5 million instead of going to jail. James Ibori was convicted in the UK for looting $250 million... Convert it to naira... He could not be captured and tried in Nigeria and in the south where he perpetrated the looting... Today he's free and back in the streets of Delta, being praised daily, and anointing political leaders all over the state while the development and infrastructure in Delta state remain an eyesore compared to the revenue they've gotten over the years. Diepreye Alamieyesegha of Bayelsa also followed the same part... Convicted for looting 3.5 billion but able to get plea bargain to serve a ridiculous penalty for the crime he committed while Bayelsa state, the richest state in the south in terms of oil revenue, remains the poverty capital of southern Nigeria with dilapidated infrastructures everywhere in their state. I don't need to tell you that the north is not your problem. Keep looking to them as the cause of your problem. If eventually Nigeria splits up, we'll see the region that has the infrastructure to support growth and development in an era where oil revenue is becoming more worthless than tissue paper. You're on your own sir. |

I'm not surprised... Most southern leaders stink of corruption due to over civilization... They never put the country and it's people first in what they do... They are always after their own illegal gains once they occupy public office... And once they are caught, the foolish southern people and it's media arm start playing ethnicity card and organising paid protests. Funny enough, you hardly hear of northerns coming to defend any northerner accused and being tried for corruption.. Look at the roads in the south and compare to the north... Just compare the infrastructural development in the north to the south... We are acting intelligent in the south while our political leaders rob us blind and turn us against the north... We produced presidents for 16 years out of the last 21 years... But go and look at Ore Abeokuta road where Obasanjo is from...the one who likes to write letters... Go and look at Benin Warri road with all the oil revenue being received there and countless billions approved for them and siphoned by southern politicians while our people keep dying like flies in road accidents, while looking to the north as their source of problem. Only Yar Adua, a Northerner pursued Nigeria's interest with zeal... But death cut him short... Buhari would have done greater things for Nigeria if not for the fall in revenue arising from crude oil price crash, together with the crowd of thieves surrounding him. Sanusi too, a northerner occupied that CBN seat and made life easier for Nigerians with different monetary policies... He eliminated nonsensical ATM charges and many other fraudulent bank charges used by banks to legally steal from customers... But our southern man Emiefele has climbed that seat now and he reintroduced bank charges, atm charges and so many others... because he's a capitalist and capitalism is fueled by greed and corruption in underdeveloped country like Nigeria where institutions are weak and checkmates can be easily maneuvered.... We will be ready to move forward when we start hanging looters in this country. Thank you. |
