It is what is done all over now; even among the lower class. You even see parents whose English are not that good speaking only English to their child.

There is funny thing if you care to observe: you see a parent receive some guest and starts speaking native language with the man, but if during the conversation he has to speak to his child or send him or her an errand, he switches to English.

It is very pathetic really.

I don't believe church offerings & tithes in a small church like Pastor Ayo's( Less than 20,000 members in all)would ever be able to buy a private jet even if you save it all for 3 decades.

Any money this people make, they make in the name of God. In other words, they make that money because they use God's name. If they use their own names, no one will pay attention to them. That is why it is God's money. And seriously I don't believe God is happy with the way money the 10 percent of his portion of his children's money, handed over to the care church leaders is being spent.

Men, we are talking about forty million dollars of God's money so that Oritsajafor and others like him can travel in comfort. Some even have several.

One thing is certain; God will bring everything to judgement. The Bible can be used to justify anything, whether good or bad.

It has maybe like maximum of 20,000 members. Half that population would be children. Another half would be jobless stay at home moms with no salary whatsoever. Add that to the numerous graduates without jobs. You might end up with 5000 tithe paying members.

In a country with GDP of $2500 per annum, a 10% tithe would equate to $250. Multiply that by 5,000 tithe paying members and you end up with a maximum of $1.25 Million in a year. Now can this figure you a freaking jet. Na it would take you at least 10 years of doing nothing else to buy a jet.

Truth is these guys get more money from books,gifts and speaking engagements than they will ever get from church offerings and tithes. I have seen small time pastors who recieve brand new car gifts from members. My friends father is a pastor of a 1000 member church. One of his members built him a house. So I dont see why its impossible for church members to buy a jet for their leader.

I believe though that the church is no doing enough in terms of charity. Much of what we have as hospitals and schools are remnants from the missionaries of yesteryear. If today's church does the same, the story would be absolutely different.

Your assertions, or is it ideas are completely untrue; the bulk of the pentecostal church's wealth, like Redeem, Winners, MFM, and so many others comes from tithes of members.

Please stop spewing nonsense.

This thing has been explained a million times over. The removal of subsidy the government is championing does not stop the cabals does not reduce by a single kobo the billions the cabals will be chopping. The price and weight of this subsidy scam is getting too much to be even sustained by government's purse. So by increasing price of fuel to N120, the cabals can start collecting the money directly from the people instead of the government. That way, the scam can continue without crippling GEJ's administration financially.

Summary of GEJ's. Subsidy removal policy :

GEJ: My fellow Cabals, you know I'm one of you. Yes I know, the Cabals must as of a necessity continue to feed fat; but the truth is, the weight is becoming too much for the government to bear. Tongues are beginning wag all over the world. What shall we do?

Fellow Cabals: If that is the problem, then what we must do is to transfer that burden from the neck of the government to the neck of the people. Increase the price of fuel, then we won't need to coming to government for subsidy payments. We can just collect directly from the people through higher prices. In the end, we may even be getting more money because as time go on, you can continue to increase the price.

GEJ: oh yes; that is a very good advise. That is what we will do.

First, to everyone commending GEJ and shouting subsidy must go, if you are not a government agent, then anwering this one question would be at fore of your mind:

The subsidy that removed in January when fuel went from N65 to N97, what has government done with it? We were promised all sorts of palliatives. Okonjo and other government people argued, the removal will he'll Nigeria get the necessary infrastructure it needed.

Can any of you point us to something concrete that has been done with the money? All our federal roads still lies in shambles, dangerous to drive on and claiming lives.

The truth is nothing has been done.

GEJ is an ERROR. At leat, I can beat my chest and say I voted for Buhari and not GEJ.

Sometimes I sit down and daydream what life in Nigeria would be like today if stu.pid Nigerians and voted in Buhari instead of GEJ.

Corrupt marketers would be busy pleading for their lives in court or looking for a way to flee the country through the borders. As if the country does not have the power to deal with a few marketers holding the nation to ransom by fuel. You close down their company and give the job of bringing in fuel to other people. As if there not many budding businessmen that would jump at the opportunity. But now, they are holding the nation by the jugular.

Several refineries would have been ready or almost ready and fuel prize would have go lower than even N65. And yet our so called porous borders will cease to be porous when corrupt politicians behind the whole scheme are dealt with. As if large quantities of petrol is something that can be hidden and taken across borders without being seen?

Buhari would have dealt decisively and ruthlessly with corruption, and as a result, we would have seen improvement across all facets and aspects of our economy.

Even the police will change once they see a sincere leader at the helm of affairs leading by example.

By now, anyone who does not believe GEJ is corruption personified is either really very stupid or is a paid goverment agent. GEJ cannot fight corruption. He is too much compromised. Who does not know his election was funded from the lootings from the subsidy scam.

I can only hope stupid Nigerians won't elect him for the 2nd term.

You can't get the laptop at less than 90k at computer_village. The laptop is an equivalent of HP Pavilion DV6. Some may even argue that its better because Lenovo laptops are best known for their durability and quality. Just google it.
