Sincere 9gerian: Board appointments are PERIPHERAL appointments. Yes peripheral appointments can be used to compensate party faithfuls. GEJ went for competence and FIRST ELEVEN in selecting his ministers and heads of departments. These are the people that do the REAL work that affect you and I. They are the DRIVERS of the transformation agenda. Check them out:
Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala
Dr Akinwumi Adeshina
Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu
Prof Rufuqayyatu
Mrs Mobola Johnson
Dr Sam Amadi
Barr Nyesoh Wike
Arch Mike Onolememe
Mrs Stella Oduah
Olusegun Aganga
Etc, etc
This squad is tight, any day, any time. Over 80% of these persons are not even politicians.
In the past even ministerial position was used to compensate party faithfuls. Who were the ministers and heads of departments under Yar Adua and OBJ? Were they not mostly party faithfuls? Who are the commissioners in Lagos as we speak? Are they not mostly stalwarts of ACN? I beg make we hear word. Yeye 'retardinhos'.

What is wrong with you guys? Talking about finesse for guys, Tuface is definitely way way above what may be considered average.

And yeah, Tuface is as fine as any of these guys u mentioned.

So if she says her man is the finest man alive, its not too-big of a claim for her to make. If she has an ugly husband, then it would have been another matter altogether.

Hatred and abhorrence by God, of Thrones (governments) allied to injustice and wickedness is recurring decimal throughout the Bible. Check throughout the 0ld Testament, you will see God hates it when the people suffer because of the wickedness of the rulers.

In other words you don't need any prophet to tell you the mind of God on this matter. And through the Old Testament, you see the prophets whom God has made prominent in Israel aways speaking against the wickedness of a wicked ruler.

This government of GEJ is without a doubt a wicked and unjust government. Only the ignorant, hypocrites, sycophants, or hired goons will say otherwise.

If the authority of the Redeemed Church has been speaking up the mind of God against this government as it ought to, GEJ won't be so eager to paying them visits. Infact its not only GEJ; you find so many politicians: governors, governor's wife that has made a show out of attending Redeem's Holy Ghost Nights. Of a truth, if the leadership of Redeem start speaking the truth about God's mind concerning the wickedness of these unbelievable thieving politicians, in no time they will vanish form Redeems services.

How many governor or governor's wife have you heard of, attending a service at the Latter Rain Church of Tunde Bakare. They will never go there. The man may have his fault and excesses, but on this very matter, he is speaking the mind of God that the likes of our esteemed Daddys: Adeboye, Oyedepo, Orisajafor etc. have refused to say.

Even though we highly respect this men of God, our Fathers in the Lord, that does not mean we can't or must not tell them they are wrong in this very matter.

Leaders of the clergy are supposed to speak against evil in the land.

Ricky_Ross: Stop talking like an idiooot, GEJ is free to contest the 2015 general elections and if he wins fine. What makes you think you can intimidate anybody? And what makes you think you and buhari can win the rest of Nigeria in a civil war? It is you who really need the advise and not sincere Nigerian. To animalss like you, Buhari is the messiah and he must win by fire by force? Thats totally wrong, he is a stupiidd mallam and he is an old wine in old bottle, he cannot rule Nigeria, his days are past. We must not trust our future on old bastardss whose only interest is to loot the resources.

Dont tell me that idiott is not corrupt bc its not true. He is as corrupt as an average Nigerian politicians. AND IF HE IS NOT COMING TO STEAL MONEY, WHY IS HE TOO ANXIOUS TO RULE NIGERIA? ARE WE BEGGING HIM? IS HE THE MESSIAH? MOST NIGERIANS WILL NOT VOTE FOR A BOKO HARAM RASCAL

The next presidential election will be interesting. As for me i dont care about the etnicity or party affiliation of whom am voting. Give me any good candidate from any part of Nigeria and I will vote for him. In the East I can only vote for any of the following cndidates: Chime, Rochas, NOI or Soluda depending on who is contesting. From the West Fashola will get my vote anyday bc he is a visionary leader, and from the north we need someone like the former EFCC boss, the North should not go to old bastardss, that EFCC boss commands so much respect within and outside Nigeria. He will beat Buhari hands down in any election.
Ribadu is well respected home amd abroad. Yes, but Buhari commands much more respect. If you don't know that, then you don't know anything. You're an empty head.

You said Ribadu will best Buhari in any election. This statement is another demonstration that you are an empty head.

But then, its possible you're not an empty head afterall. You are just trying to mislead people by pointing them towards candidates that may appear good, but which you know are not politically strong enough to win.

Then you say Buhari is corrupt? Are you totally daft? If there is anything that it certain about Buhari, it's the fact that he is not corrupt and he hates corruption and injustice with a total hatred and passion.

Sincere 9gerian: Dont mind the fools. They were part of the 12million people that voted for Buhari in 2011 elections. That election has since been won and lost but the defeated have refused to get over it. Part of the frustration of the defeated is manifested in the boko haram onslaught and cyber space attacks and curses on the president. Just ask these fools one single thing they expect from the president, they'll begin to CONVULSE. Just imagine this year alone, the federal govt will be spending close to N1trillion on fuel subsidy alone, despite every effort to clean up the payment system. Can any country make progress with such MADNESS, whereby over 25% of national budget is being spent on subsidizing consumption of gasoline? Compare N1trillion budget for fuel side by side with about N100billion for roads and N400billion for education. If this is not MADNESS then tell me what it is. The president saw this madness and wanted to remove the fuel subsidy so we can switch this resources to other important things BUT politics and ethnoreligious sentiments overtook people in the north and southwest. The opposition parties and hausas who felt GEJ took their turn grabbed the opportunity with both hands and frustrated the planned removal of fuel subsidy. Imagine what N1trillion can do on our roads, rail, job creation, education, health care, etc at the federal and state level. But alas STUPIDITY took the better part of them. The same bandits that wanted fuel subsidy, which they said is the ONLY thing they benefit from govt, now criticise govt for not doing OTHER things and not doing enough. What about your state governors? What do they do with 50% of the resources for the various states?

Yeye internet bandits! Speaking with both sides of their mouth, depending on how it suits them. When it came to killing 2million women and children to preserve the oil money, they all believed in Nigeria BUT when it comes to supporting a minority to rule Nigeria, they no longer believe in Nigeria. I can only say SORRY to these internet bandits
Beaf! Sincere Nigerian, or whatever else your name is:

Why do you insist on repeating the same lines when it had been proven through so many avenues to be lies.

The Hosue of Reps Subsidy probe and so several other revelations has proven that Nigeria needs nothing in the region of that amount to subsidise fuel.

An amount of 300 million naira is more like what is needed. This amount is very much sustainable.

What your master GEJ is subsidising is corruption.

This is a simplified analysis of the matter without all the grammar and confusion you guys try to confuse us with.

When you or your master say, you need to remove oil subsidy which is merely a scamming clever way of increasing price of fuel: it simply means GEJ does not want the awoof-corruption money for him and his friends to stop, but because the burden of the awoof-corruption is indeed a great one, he wants it shifted off the neck of government and placed on the neck of the people.

So instead of the awoof-corruption money being collected from government, GEJ and his gang of merciless thieves will now be collecting it directly from the masses in form of higher prices.

The one they increased in January, we are now in December, where are the infrastructures they've deployed with it.

And it has been said repeatedly, why can't Nigeria as a country buy the fuel it needs itself. No other country uses traders of middle-men. It is absolutely unnecessary. It is merely to create an avenue for of chop-chop for PDP and its friends and cronies.

If YOU or your master GEJ is sincere and his concern is really the people, why does he not cancel the middle-men.

That is the simplest form of eliminating major bulk of corruption in the subsidy regime and the oil sector.

But you and your master wants us to beleiev the only way out is by causing untold hardship and misery for the poor masses.

Is that things are not already expensive enough or hard enough for the people?

Mr. Sincere Nigerian, I swear to God, you are a wicked soul, you are the rest of likes; so heartless. God will visit His judgement on you people and your children up to the third generation.

This another classic example of how men of God in the country, who God has made prominent ti have a voice that can be heard, instead of speaking against the evil of the leaders, choose to fraternize, and wine dine with the evil leaders.

What is the essence of seeking the recorded message of a leader who is causing the people miseries and hardship in such a gathering?

Does it not amount to putting a stamp of approval on him and all that he is doing?

Just like politicians,Nigerian prominent men of God live in another world and cannot connect to the pain of the people.

GenBuhari: I regret that you find my posts off-putting.
The reason I repeat my post page after page and thread after thread is because it is necessary to counter lies about Buhari that are repeated page after page and thread after thread.

What make the thread difficult to follow on mobiles?, is because attached images are slow to load?, if so, I will refrain from posting too many large images.
Actually there is nothing wrong with posting the articles on every thread; the problem is posting it on every page of a thread.

But even then I feel your point. Thses propangadists keep on repeating the same no matter the amount of glaring evidence which points towars the very opposite.

If they keep on repeating it unchallenged, people soon begin to take it as a gospel truth. That it one indicator that tells one that those championing the case against Buhari are hired hands and they are waging a psychological warfare on the psyche of people.

You really have to stop this your multiple posting of the same long articles of Buhari on every page of every thread that has to do with Buhari.
One post of each article is enough; let it be on the first page of the thread that's about Buhari and Nairalanders interested in the thread will get to read it and be informed.

I know you are trying to help but your action may actually be putting people off. Also, you are spoiling the thread, making it disjointed and uneasy to follow, especially for those following the discourse on a mobile device.

@OP

The question should be; what is wrong in having Rochas, Fashiola, Ribadu etc as President in 2015?
Did I hear some deluded dudes say they don't have the clout and status? What's the meaning of that? Does Buhari have one? If he does, why does he keep loosing elections both in the south and his north?

I really don't get it when people try to demonize southerners for never surpporting Buhari.

No need to go into all the petty details of his partial stewardship as PTDF chairman. Though favoritism of projjects in the north over the south was overwhelming, I still think its minute compared to NOT CAMPAIGNING IN ANY OF THE S/SOUTHERN/EASTERN STATEs. It shows that Buhari has an absolute hatred and total disregard for the people.

With this same approach come 2015, he's bound for yet another round of FAilure.....even if he's to run against OBJ.
.

Those people you mentioned, if you really believe they have enough clout and politcal followership to become President, then you are the deluded one and you have no idea what you are talking about. Imagine, you are comparing the clout of Buhari to a person like Fashola who does not even have any say in what happens in his party.

There are many reasons why we can say Buhari lost. Rigging is definitely among them. Also, the money politics campaign of Jonathan which is the foundation of the subsidy scam is another.

Even though Buhari lost, as of today's Nigeria, he still has a better chance more than those u mentioned.

You obviously don't know anything and there is no point in arguing with you.

Your comment shows you are the mumu, not me. You comments shows you are real simpleton. Buhari should give Jonathan advice in front of other ex-leaders. Do you know how stup.id you sound? So how many times should he do that even when that item is not on the agenda of what's to be discussed? You think this is your nuclear family meeting? So Buhari should start giving unsolicited advice to Jonathan in such a fora?

And what if I may ask is some of those advice? That Jonathan soft pedal on the amount of money he and his officials are stealing? Perhaps they should reduce from 5 trillion to 2 trillion?

We can't vote based on mere assumption of Ribadu as Ig, Falana as the Minister of Justice. GEJ was suppose to take actions to assure us but he turned out different.

I am not against Buhari. You can't write off Ribadu also concerning clout and status. As the Commander in chief, Ribadu will have enough force behind him to cause a lot of Change in the sector of Corruption. We can't deny it.

The presidency of Nigeria has the power to get rid of corruption. We just need the right person there. I still don't think going back to bring a past leader. We should be progressive and not regressive.
No one is saying u should vote on that assumption. I was only trying to illustrate that Buhari will do the right thing and surround himself with the right people to work with him. Amd seriously, its not fat fetched that someone like Buhari will want to have a person like Ribadu work with him. I'm sure Ribadu will be happy about the idea too.

Yes, and I repeat what I said again: neither Buahri nor Fashola has the clout win the Presidency the way Buhari does.

You say " As the Commander in chief, Ribadu will have enough force behind him to cause a lot of Change in the sector of Corruption". But he will have to become President first, or won't he? And what of Buahri? Won't he do the same thing?

And are you in the business of "wish" or reality I.e what can actually happen.

I still cannot understand why you think it is a taboo for Buhari to become President.

Nigeria's problem is corruption. The question: Will Buhari fight corruption?

I believe he will; with the very last breath of his life. The man hates corruption and injustice. It's that simple.

All your points are so pointless. For instance you say "has unfettered access to the President as they have council of states meeting..." So what exactly he's a supposed to do: use a cane to whip Jonathan into conformity with his (Buhari) ideals and standards?

Then most of the allegations u raised have already been answered a million times, but it just breezes past you guys, and like a broken record, you keep on repeating the same over and over again and it doesn't matter the amount of evidence that points towards the contrary.

For God's sake don't you get it! Ribadu, Fashola, etc do not have the clout, status, respect, devotion, loyalty political standing, political followership & disciples which Buhari commands. Fashola is nothing without Tinubu. Unless Tinubu says so, he can't even get the Presidential ticket of ACN. Ribadu cannot commandeer the votes of the entire North. Buhari can do that.

Out of all the good people we have, a Buhari Presidency is more in the realm of possibility.

They know the likelihood of Fashola or Ribadu getting there is not as real as a Buhari. Forget about Pat Utomi and the rest like that. You and I know that for them, its just a pipe dream.

If you run a poll in Nigeria, you will find out that a lot of people are not satisfied with GEJ'S administration. So don't make this a vote Buhari or GEJ. For instance, I will support Ribadu because he is the one person I have seen try to fight corruption in this country. From the investigation of Abacha's stolen funds till his attack on corrupt Governors.

What some of us are saying is electing a past leader might not be the best option. We should be looking into other people. Not that we must vote GEJ.

Some listed Pat Utomi, Fashola (whom you didn't provide any fact of being corrupt. Bola Tinubu isn't convicted of corruption), Adams Oshiomhole has been exceptional since taken power, Rochas Okorocha, etc.
No one is making a vote between GEJ and Buahri. What people are saying is: out of the poeple with enough clout to become President, Buhari is the best guarantee of turning Nigeria around this nation for good and betterment of the citizens.

And I beg jare, forget evidence, Fashola and Tinubu are corrupt and thieving politicians. Are they both not major owners of the Lekki Concession Company. If u want to pretend they are not, that's up to you. GEJ to is also fuc.king corrupt. Pat Utomi, Oshiomole, Okorochas and their likes do not have enough clout to become Presodent at the moment.

Also Buari has the clout, status, respect and image, garnered over years and decades to stand up to any power-brokers of group of pwoer-brokers in the fight for corruption.

The fight against corruption in Nigeria (the genuine fight, not the fake one like GEJ is fighting) is like going to war against a MAFIA of political and business elites. It's not child's play and something for the faint hearted. Is it Fashola that cannot hold Lagos down or do anyhting without the blessing of Tinubu that will shake the whole Nigeria upside down. Or is it Pat Utomi the economist? Ribadu I agree is good candidate for the job but he has not enough clout to gather voted from even the North talkless of the West.

Buhari is the only person that I know, that if he becomes elected President, even before he is sworn in, you will see many corrupt political and business elites that have been disturbing the destiny of the nation for ages begin to relocate out of the country. Oh yes, Buhari is such a man! Corrupt elements will flee the country even before he ascends the throne of Presidency. Pls tell me that Presidential hopeful that can stand up to men like Obasanjo, IBB, Atiku, Anenih and their likes. Is it Fashola of the Economist Pat Utomi?

People, right now, at this point in Nigerian history, Buahri is the best man for the job.

Please open your eyes and mind and let go of tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments. Your real brother or kinsman is the one who takes care of you.

What a nation! What a people!!! Yet they will be crying to God everyday to save Nigeria. Maybe, just maybe God has already done his part by creating men like Buhari and making them prominent enough to be able to stand for elections.

Sincere 9gerian: If you'r WISE, you would know that corruption in Nig has it ROOTS in the SHARING OF FREE NIGER DELTA AND IGBO OIL MONEY. Changing the personnel presiding over the sharing of the free oil money will NEVER STOP the corruption but will only change the BENEFICIARIES of the corruption. Any where there's FREE MONEY TO BE SHARED, one must be more than an ANGEL not to fall for the temptation of being corrupt. Even if the person at the top is not looting too much, those under him will be looting. Forget the SUPER STORY of people who claim they'll fight corruption to a standstill. If the FREE OIL MONEY CEASES TO FLOW TODAY, corruption in Nig will reduce by over 90% automatically. You dont need an anti-corruption czar to stop corruption in Nig. Alternatively, we can re-structure the country and give states full control of their resources. This will move the pot of corruption to the states and reduce corruption and tension at the federal level. Will Buhari stop re-structuring? I guess no!
However, as democracy grows, legislature becomes stronger to serve as checks, the judiciary stands it ground and with the SEARCH LIGHT of the media, corruption will naturally reduce over time

I have never heard of a more stupid logic or approach in my life. Imagine "....as democracy grows, legislature becomes stronger to serve as checks...." This is complete and utter rubbish. Is this what happened in corrupt counties that witnessed dramatic turn-around? A good example close to home is Ghana. Another good example is China.

Infact anyone that listens to this guy is a big fool. Its so obvious he is government paid agent on Nairaland. I have no doubt this is Beaf repackaged. And oh yes, he has multiple IDs like "taraqua" and the likes.

Nigerians are fools and easily deceived.

Some say Buhari is old and we should have a new person and yet refuse to mention that new person. Are we going to bring that new person Planet Pluto or from Asia? By the way, corruption in Nigeria encompasses but the old and young leaders. Even many youth are already corrupt and perverted in their ways taking a cue from our elders. Our only hope is to elect somebody with a track record of integrity who hates corruption and injustice with a passion.

That's what Nigeria needs.

Some people are saying we need good structures and not and individual like Buhari. We will put those structures and laws in place. You think corrupt men and thieving politicians will put them in place? Ofcourse not. Only a strong and incorruptible men like Buhari will do that. The structures won't put themselves in place on their own.

Can you imagine, a Joanthan's Administration in which there has been and embezzlement and fraud of over 5 Trillion naira in just 2 years, yet people like SincereNigerian and his likes come here telling us how wonderful this Administration is and how much Jonathan loves.

Jonathan's case is exactly like that of an abusive husband who beats his wife ever so often yet professes his undying love for her everyday.

And Nigerians are like the abused wife who refuses to leave the abusive husband who uses her as a punching bag even though there is a complete gentleman who the whole community knows as good man, begging for her love and a chance just to allow him treat her the way a lady deserves to be treated, with love, affection and devotion.

The adage "a nation deserves the leader they get" is especially true in Nigeria's case.

And by the way, please anyone that says No it can't be Buhari, mention one such person who has enough clout to become President without having any Godfather.

And for those saying Fashola, honestly Fashola cannot even come close to Buhari in terms of honesty, integrity and abhorrence for corruption. Infact what are you talking about? Only a fool or an ignorant idiot will say Fashola is not corrupt. Fashola with his godfather Tinubu have stolen Lagos so blind, unborn generation of Lagosians will pay for it.

We are not just talking about and incorruptible person, but one with enough clout to win an election and bloodyfool any "who is who" in this nation today. Tell us now, who is that person? Is it Pat Utomi or Fashola? Abeg make una tell us.

Nigeria, a nation whose citizens have been bewitched out of common sense and logic and therefore destined to suffer in a land flowing with milk and honey.

Don't worry. Don't vote Buahri. Continue to vote for clueless and mind-boggling corrupt Jonathan and PDP and continue to suffer. What I don't understand however is why you complain when you suffer?

bola-dex:
THE ONLY REASON THERE IS DROP IN THE AMOUNT PAID AS SUSBSIDY LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR IS INCREASED THE PRIZE OF FUEL BY 50% WHICH REDUCE THE AMOUNT GOVERNMENT CLAIMED THEY PAID AS SUBSIDY,
THEY DID NOT SAVED ANYTHING THE MASSES PAID FOR THAT SAVING THROUGH BUYING FUEL AT HIGHER RATE THAN LAST YEAR PERIOD.
Thank u jare.
