Sports / Re: None Of Y'all Watch Wnba? by larablog: 1:15am On Aug 18, 2022
I love the WNBA, best league in the world.
High level basketball plus they play with so much heart.

I am trying to put together a community of WNBA lovers in Nigeria. Trying to host a watch party for the 2022 WNBA finals. The playoffs are gonna be wild and I can't watch it alone.

I also have a women basketball channel where I give commentary. https://youtube.com/channel/UC1wu7hgAn1-ex85bhogHfgg

true that tho....
but in the mens game its on another level. lool
in some games ud see as much as 5 players of Nigerian descent playing for both teams
I don't follow the Men's games but the WNBA has some quality players, NCAA too. Ashley Owusu from Maryland is my favorite right now. Unfortunately most the stars are are already pledged with Team USA. Who wouldn't, Nigeria does not pay their players.

SlyCharlie:

yoo... i also follow womens basketball especially ncaa and national teams.
its march madness season and the women's side be springing more upsets this season. yesterday, Creighton upset Iowa, South Dakota upset Baylor.
it isn't really easy following the wnba from Nigeria, its actually easier to catch womens and mens college games as Espn 2 on startimes and dstv has sort of been dedicated to the ncaa since the start of march, it happens every year tho, and of course the nba itself on Espn, no such luck for wnba..
anyways it good to know there's another college ball aficionado in these parts... big ups.
Yay, finally found someone

The tournament has been crazy this year, the Baylor upset was even more shocking than Iowa, I had Baylor in my final four! My bracket is done.
Who are you rooting for, I am rooting for Uconn to win it all this year.

For some reason I find it easy to watch all the games using some free TV sites.

Try live94today.com or usgo.tv for free streaming of most games. You can check the ESPN website to find out where each game will be aired. Thank me later

For those intrested, my channel is https://youtube.com/channel/UC1wu7hgAn1-ex85bhogHfgg

Nothing fancy, just commentary.

May i ask what you do in the basketball world, a scout, coach, analyst, former player and what precisely are u planning on doing.

I do nothing in the basketball world. I enjoy the game and I am looking for like minded nigerians to share the love of the game with (Maybe join whatsapp group, have a podcast and host watch parties.)

I can't be the only one who likes Women's basketball?

I do have a YouTube channel where I analyze the games though. But that just for fun

Webmasters / Re: Swift internet Is a Fraud.please stay away from them by larablog: 8:17pm On Nov 30, 2015
OP is not lying same thing happened to me. I have been a loyal swift customer since 2011, even went as far as referring most of my friends. I use the same plan month after month (20GB for 6k) and it usually last very well. But lately my subscription barely last two weeks with medium usage. I decided to catch them today. I bought extra 3GB on Saturday, barely used it cos there was no light I checked today, I had 1.8GB that's still okay I thought. But low and behold I used it for barely 1 hour and it told me my data has expired. Pls how does one use 1.8GB in barely one hour without watching anything o. Even if I was watching, an average movie is like 500mg. I feel pained and disappointed, this is daylight robbery. To think all my friend are complaining about the same thing. I am so done with them

Music/Radio / Re: Country Music Lovers Corner by larablog: 7:58pm On Jan 07, 2012
So gald I found this thread
I love country music, it just does something to my soul
I recently allowed myself to listen to the new school and boy was I surprised.
Try songs like
Brad paisley- welcome to the future
Kenny chesney- better as a memory
Jason aldean- dirt road anthem, laugh until we cried
Rascall flat- why
Blake shelton- who are you when am not looking, this is austin
Miranda lambert- the house that built me
It a far cry from the old boys but if you give them a chance these guys are just a good, I love all their songs
The lyrics are very touching and you can relate to them.

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by larablog: 7:00pm On Jun 07, 2011
So many people up this week, they will probably use individual votes instead of country.

This week I'm voting for weza and maybe hanni. I want to see them in the finals. Am beginning to not like zeus so he can roast.

I hope millicent, confidence and vina bounce. Vimbia is cool but I don't care if she stays or goes.
