Um...
As Android17 mentioned, it's a lot easier to get funding for PhDs. I've been doing a lot of research, but most of that research has been tailored to the course(s) I'm interested in, and laser-guided with full funding in mind, so the list I've curated is very highly personalized and I don't know how helpful it will be for you.

For example, this was a list I made in August after weeks of research.

PhD Health Informatics

Hopkins, Uni of Northern Texas, Northwestern Uni, UWMadison, TOntario Tech(Health Sciences) , Waterloo (Health systems), Toronto (HSR), Temple University, IU Bloomington, university of Minnesota, University of North Carolina, Arizona State, Northeastern (GRE), Case Western (GRE), UWMilwaukee (GRE), UWashington (GRE)

What I can advise is that you look for something you have some interest in. You mentioned you're a product designer, so my guess is you have some interest and/or knowledge in tech. Do a broad search for Mscs and PhDs along that line. Then add 'fully funded' to your search terms, and add the countries you have in mind. I have a list of courses in schools in up to 10 countries with the potential for full funding.
Ok thanks bro.

I actually had a project idea I was working on, it's a medtech project, maybe when things settle for me small, we will relate and see how we can work together to bring it to fruition.

Larride, the odds of getting fully funded via MSc route is hard to non-existent. Your 2 best options are either applying for PhD programs and then "mastering out" or writing a pity party personal statement and shoot for an MBA.

MBAs have less funding opportunities but when they are available, that is a huge ticket out of any situation. First, your odds of getting the F-1 visa approved improves significantly and then the job market is very robust for the MBA buffs. Amazon has hired 2 or 3 people I know making 220,000 - 330,000 USD per year as Technical Product Managers.

On the other hand, the PhD route is kind of windy and drawn-out but it is the best path towards funding and the Visa. Approval rate for PhDs is like 8/10 and you can come in with a TA or RA where you get your tuition waived and a stipend for conducting research for a Professor. You can always lose motivation 2 years in and ask the school for a master's degree. That is what mastering out is all about.

I'll say to make applications during the early bird season (so October-November latest for most schools) because it heightens your chances of being funded and if possible take aptitude tests like the GRE and TOEFL. Most schools are now claiming they are not needed, but they are, especially for a Nigerian with little to no research experience. Aptitude tests will bolster your application - so don't rely on anecdotes of people who did not have them but still got funded.

The USA route can be frustrating for many but the long term benefits to me are better. Biden is destroying the country so who knows what the future holds?
Thank you for this. I don bookmark ham.

Thank you bro. I actually feel so much better. Sometimes all you need is someone to reassure you that everything is going to be fine.

I do get what you're saying. I get the point. Batists are trying to say, no matter what, our empathy must shine through at all times (which is ironical here, seeing as that empathy seems to end when it comes to different groups, women and lgbtq people). But then that point does fall apart when you examine the values of the people who are crying out for help.

For God's sake, we've been pointing out for months how this party has sunk 100 million nigerians into abject poverty, few weeks ago, you yourself pointed out how suicide rates were indeed on the rise in the country, what were their responses to that? Isn't it the usual trope of how "you love to spread bad news"?

If these people are soo casual in dismissing the plights of the suffering of others because of politics, how then are we expected to truly feel sorry for them when what we spent moths warning against is now actually manifesting towards them?
Isn't that hypocritical and pretensious?

I mean should we forget that APC folks politicized the death of a doctor on a train that was ambushed, something I heavily rebuked larride for?
Are you mad? Please just stay your lane jeje. You and who politicized the death of Dr Chinelo? Please just respect yourself this afternoon.

It's good to look for that fresh start, but try stay in the present and build, Japa na another person decision ultimately, so what can be done in the interim should keep being done.

That US travel route is actually pretty solid, if scholarship fall comot from am, will make things real easy.

You can also try freelance sites like Upwork as well, you Sabi program I believe, those skills are always in demand, if you no dey programming mood, you fit also try some other niches like data entry and Virtual assistant roles.
Thank you bro. I do hope the one of the schools application click.

I'm a product designer without little or no coding. I wan learn front end development sef to complement my current skill but my head never even settle make I no go add another thing join.

I've tried both upwork and fiver, those places are saturated with product designers so it's not easy to get jobs. The way Nigerians are churning out designers ehn cheesy (both low quality and high quality) you have to keep upgrading yourself to stay ahead. I was suppose to even take another course beginning of this month but decided against it when I see wetin dey my front.

Just like nihilistjnr said, better to look inward, drop some obligation and focus on yourself and family for the main time.

As in!!
I'm truly sorry but I can't feel empathy for people who deliberately and willingly self sabotage their selves and fortunes despite several warnings and forebodings.

Am I really supposed to feel sorry for someone who has actively defended the wickedness of our leaders and vociferously attacked everyone who sought an obviously better path and reset to the countries political system?

Am I really supposed pretend that the last few months and years haven't happened where he doubled down and tripled down on support for the APC and still continues to this very day despite the fast paced backwardness the country has speeding at??

I'm sorry but I'm not pretentious. I wouldn't pretend to feel sorry for someone who is getting burnt because he stoked and enflamed the furnace and then walked into it despite soo much pleadings and warnings not to do so.

The APC is directly responsible for the gross economic mismanagement of this country for this past decade. A mismanagement that is costing lives and creating massive economic refugees on a daily basis, anyone who would see all these and still support them because of primordial sentiments or "our son" only has himself to blame and cannot seriously wish to see any sort of sympathy towards him. It's that simple and logical.
Nobody is asking for your sympathy bro. Keep it and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

nihilistjnr:
Finding ones purpose in life is one of the hardest things to achieve. And the truth is the vast majority of people will live and die without ever figuring out what they were put on this planet to do.

I recommend looking up the concept of Ikigai to see in simple terms what finding and achieving your purpose might entail.

Until you're able to find your purpose, if you ever do, I suggest that you focus of a series of short term and long term goals that you can set for yourself. The goals don't all have to be super specific either...although it helps.

That's the technique I use to get through life at the moment, because sometimes I feel like a leaf blown on the wind, going wherever fate takes me, without a sense of my own agency. I sometimes feel like my life is just one long exercise in duty and obligation - duty to be a good sibling, a good son, a good husband, a good father, a good employee, a good neighbour etc.

Defining myself in reference to what I mean to people has caused me great mental anguish in the past, because I recognise that I act as an umbrella to so many people with nobody doing the same for me.

These days I have accepted that there is a gap in my life associated with not knowing my purpose for existence, but I am also hopeful that my day of insight will come. Till then, I continue to set monthly and yearly goals for myself and focus on achieving them, which provides me a sense of purpose in the short term.

I wish you well my brother, but you must know yourself and you must learn to suffer. To be a MAN is not a day's job.
Thank you boss. I am grateful. Especially defining myself part. That's really needed.

Things are super tough here as well right now. The economy is tanking, there's fewer job listing, and cost of living is RIDICULOUS.

Be prepared to never stop studying if you want to make it in corporate. Be prepared to run multiple concurrent jobs if you're looking to do menial route.

I graduated from my MBA 3 weeks ago, and I'm already on another training course as we speak. This shit is NOT easy.
I actually know. My own frustration is majorly from the fact that it just seems as if I'm going round in circles or just stuck in a position. That feeling where you don't even know your purpose again.

I guess it's just a phase of being overwhelmed with situations. It's a wonder to me how I still function optimally at work.

Na why I dey look to just move and start afresh.
