DissTroy: A40, we had this conversation 4 weeks ago.
You mentioned Iyin's father is the G.O. of a mega church so he comes from opulence? He's telling a different story about being broke and unkempt less than 10 years ago in 2014 even though he was CEO of Flutterwave in 2016 or so.
Which does one believe? Try and follow the context of his reply, that question was how did you know your church was the one for you, not whether he was broke or not. Iyin has consistently said he schooled in Canada and the reason he moved back to Nigeria was because he was depressed in Canada. I'm not sure where you got the brokeness part from. |

Also I'm waiting to read the full tribunal judgement on this Eti-Osa.
It's been reported that the rerun will be done in just 32 polling units (There are 288 polling units in Eti Osa LG) so it will make sense to know the number of votes which candidate still has before going to the rerun since it's not a total rerun.
It Attah still has the 6k advantage that he used to win the election, he will most likely retain his seat. |

Even that will not save him. Winning elections in off season is the forte of politicians and not TeD Talkers/Motivational speakers supported by Social Media users. Only few people will go out to vote and those people will be mobilized by local politicians whom I doubt Banky has in his pockets Off cycle elections are majorly won by party members. Party will mobilize them and they will come out in huge numbers to vote especially in Lagos. |

izzou: You better go and apply.
Although i want this to be true, i don't believe giving orders from Abuja would solve the problem.
The first problem is when we have to use Agents to apply. If you go to the Immigration office, they will direct you to shanties nearby to apply. They will create files and ask for documents. Without passing through these people, nobody go listen to you.
Let the Minister automate the process fully. Let the Immigration office be for capture only. That is the first step to stopping all these backlogs. People are already booking online and only going to the office for capturing. The process just seems to be slow in Lagos. Did mine in January 2021, came out July 2021. That was the period they started sending text to inform people for collection. Me and my wife just saw their text that day that our passport is ready for collection. |

raumdeuter: It's very straightforward for anyone who wants to think
Results from all polling units are colllated to get the final numbers
At every polling units all party agents get a copy and they can forward to their party collation center to compare with INEC
LP agents all over Nigeria got their copy
Then present your copies which should match the ones other party, INEC and police got and let's compare how you got your numbers
For you to prove something is fake you have to show what the original looks like
What did Obi present as the original The problem is they do not have enough agent on ground and didnt even have an election data centre sef to quickly tabulate and monitor results as they are trickling in from the polling units. From the night of the election, all parties are already knowing where and where they are going to litigate to win at the tribunal. |

Ibime: LP don't have that structure
In many places they were missing agents
In places were they had agents (except for SE), their agents were easily compromised by money or intimidation
Common N200k will get most LP agents to sign off at PU. If they form strong head like DonJ, imagine when Ateke boys hit the PU and offer them silver or lead
It comes back to "structure" Even that, each polling agent is still meant to have a copy of the result. |

Theflint1: It's funny you guys keep saying this though, and I sincerely hope you don't believe these things you say, and it's just politics talk.
INECs job is to function as an umpire, and as an umpire it's their responsibility to go above and beyond to show stakeholders they were fair, which means if results of the elections are requested for, they make them available. The only reason they'd hide results is if they truly have something they're trying to keep hidden.
We watch football games and push for fairness and transparency...VAR, replays, on-field explanation of decisions, post-game analysis and reviews, but an activity that affects our lives directly we're looking for ways to justify it being shrouded in secrecy. You still don't get it. Do you? At every polling unit, every party agent was given a copy of the result for that unit. A copy is also given to the police attached to the polling unit which means it's not only INEC that has the result from the polling unit, all the party agents are meant to have their own result signed by all the party agent and INEC polling officer from the polling unit in their possession including the police. Nothing is shrouded in secrecy. If you are claiming that what INEC released is rigged or not correct, you have to produce the one with you that's duly signed at the polling unit to show that's what you score. That's how you prove something at the election tribunal. Except you want to prove overvoting or stuffing of the ballot boxes (which the BVAS has eliminated anyways), you really do not need INEC own copies for anything as long as the result copies with you are duly signed at the polling units. The moment you challenge an election result, inec is automatically the defendant in the case, they have the right under law to defend the result they put out. |

Because someone with a good mind would be invested in knowing the actual results which means supporting INEC to release all necessary documents needful to knowing how people actually voted Oga you are saying absolute balderdash. Inec release a result, you say the result is a lie and its rigged. Oya bring the real results, you say you want to check INEC material first. On what basis did you call the one INEC released rigged then? |

Secondly, for your information Peter Obi submitted 10000 hard copies of agent results. But the Tribunal used it against him. That if he was saying INEC results were blurred where did he get his own results from.
I believe you followed the judgement. Which hard copies did Obi submit? Where and when? |

She tendered hard copy result from her Polling unit agent to show that the one declared by INEC is wrong and she was the winner of the election.
The results were recalculated and she was declared winner. They are waiting for INEC to provide them with evidence that they will use to challenge Inec result. Must be clownish behavior. |

Theflint1: These things ought not to be an issue if INEC did their job my making original result sheets available to petitioners, and made uploading of results to IREV possible on election day.
Plans to rig the elections were made before the elections even, and was made easier with APC being the incumbent party. Let me explain to you using Imo state gubernatorial election as example. INEC declared PDP as the winner of the election, Hope Uzodinma disagreed and went to court. One key evidence that Hope Uzodinma presented in court is a different result sheet that's different from the one that Inec used to declare the PDP guy winner. In the result sheet, Hope Uzodinma mentioned all the polling that he won that INEC cancelled and argued that he won those polling units free and square and INEC has no right no void those valid votes. You know the rest. If you are going to say INEC declared the wrong result or collided with your opponent to declare another result, you must have the genuine result with you to show that the one INEC declared was rigged or falsified. Every party is meant to have their own copy of each polling unit and LG collation result, that is what will form the basis of your petition. It's when you get to the tribunal that you will show the copy of the result that your party got at the polling unit/collation center and use it as evidence against the one that INEC will tender to show that your own result is the correct one. If you dont have the result as declared at the polling unit and all LG collation centers, on what ground are you basing your win from? That's the reason Peter Obi and LP could not specify which polling unit or LG result was rigged against them. In Hope Uzodinmma case, he was able to produce the signed result sheet from their polling booth agent as well as the copy that was given to the police at the polling unit. That's how you win election tribunal. |
