That is because they are not an educational institution and you will need to go to the University to confirm the validity of the document or not.

It's a simple something.

The school has confirmed he graduated from their school, the school has confirmed he ordered a replacement certificate in 1997 which was issued to him. The diploma Tinubu submitted to INEC matched with the one the school issued within those periods, what else are you looking for abeg?

The only discrepancies is the date and the school itself has stated that it was an error from their end.

This should've even settled the matter immediately.

Certificates are ceremonial documents because they're what you use to celebrate the convocation ceremony, doesn't mean they are documents you can print inside your room because they're "ceremonial".

I haven't seen any school that permits third parties to print certificates on their behalf, if you've seen, I'd like to see proof. In fact, these universities insist that you can't have more than one copy of your certificate per time, and if for any reason you have more than one copy, the older one is automatically assumed invalid, but yeah, certificates are ceremonial documents.

Raumdueter posted some schools yesterday here where they indicated they vendors are the one that print their replacements certificate.

CSU said they dont keep a copy of the certificate they issued out. That's the first point.

The second point is that both the one they said Tinubu didn't pick up and the one he submitted to INEC are the same format and everything, the only difference is the date stated on the certificate which the school itself has confirmed to be an error.

Everything else is looking for arguments where none exists.

From that screenshot, the school is saying that he requested for a replacement diploma in 1997, the staff also put it on record that he was the one that made the typo. Instead of writing June 27 1997, he write June 27 1979.
