You were talking about ur experience in Lagos and I told u what I’ve seen fuel people’s anger in Lagos .

I wasn’t speaking for what happened in other Yoruba states cos I am not presently there , I wasn’t there during the elections and I didn’t see videos of non Yorubas not being allowed to vote . I can only speak of what I know and see evidence of
When they say Yorubas are this and that, na only Yorubas in Lagos that attacked those they attacked during the election they are talking about right?

There's no way you want to spin it that it makes sense to be abusing a whole tribe because of actions of some people and statement like yours is what is emboldening those that are doing it to continue to do so.

From what I’ve seen , the non-Yorubas abusing Yorubas for the hardship currently being experienced under Tinubu are doing so in retaliation of the injustice meted out to them by some political thugs during the election.

We saw videos of non Yorubas and even Yorubas being harassed and intimidated for not voting APC .

Some of those people u see abusing Yorubas complaining of hardship are people who were denied right to vote . It’s that anger that is still working cos they saw some Yorubas laughing at their predicament while the political thugs do their thing .

These things will always happen when people look away when the person suffering injustice is not their own.
I do not agree with this at all. There are 6 SW states, how many states in the SW did violence happened during the election?

Even in Lagos that recorded violence, there were still many non Yorubas that voted. Please don't let us turn issues on their head as if non Yorubas were denied from voting in Yoruba land and only Yorubas voted.

All those who will insult an ethnic group for making their own electoral choices are sick

And what they are cooking hope they will eat it when it's done
Even Yorubas that were complaining with them and abusing BAT changed it for them when they started abusing Yorubas.

It makes no sense really. BAT got less than 60% of total votes in the SW, what happens to the over 35% of those that didnt vote for him.

Some of us know how to keep our mouth shut when we are not in the midst of friendlies . I can discuss why I prefer Obi to Tinubu with my guy who prefers Tinubu ; we can argue for hours exhaust ourselves , chop together and drink together afterwards .

I wouldn’t discuss my political preference in a public space cos like I always say; I usually do what will save my life at all times .
On my way to work yesterday, a woman was talking to her friend inside the bus about the situation of the country and from there they started abusing Yorubas for voting BAT and all, if you see the chaos that almost happened in the bus ehn. I just shake my head and kept mute till I got to Maryland.

Some people dont know when to stop.

Come and see other Africans encouraging Nigeria to follow the footsteps of French speaking WA countries and go the way of coups.

Another reason BAT may want to show strength with Niger Republic is the fact that if the coupists rule, dem don begin sow seed for our military mind.

Before a knee go fully dislocate most of the wire wey dey support the knee like MCL and LCL (outer wires) and ACL and PCL (inner wires) go don tear yanmayanma.

If the dislocation is quickly corrected the leg can be saved but all those wire don tear already. If for some reason the dislocation is not quickly corrected the leg might have to go. There is also the possibility of nerve damage.
Thank you. grin

My boss. I am a Healthcare professional. I did my internship at the second largest hospital in Nigeria by bed space - 900 beds.

In this matter, you're preaching to the choir ☺️

My words are an indictment of the system, not of the workers.
The system at all levels needs massive upgrade and improvement.

There are cases that shouldn't even get to the general hospital that health centers/clinics can take care but since theres no health centers around, all way leads to the general hospital. Ditto for teaching hospital.

The way they described it most likely the guy tried to tackle Marcelo and Marcelo accidentally landed on his leg. Knee dislocation can be bad and if not quickly diagnosed can lead to amputation and generally speaking before a knee can be fully dislocated most of the knee ligaments must have been damaged i.e Anterior and posterior cruciate and even the medial and lateral collaterals on either side of the knee.
Speak English doc.

Tinubu clearly has a better speech writer than Buhari, and it's good to see reasonable plans communicated empathetically. The speech addresses most of the questions the plans he has would first raise...and the speech communicates inclusivity and an even spread of development.

Reading a well-written speech is the easy part, reality is a different beast, hopefully, these plans are implemented to the letter...not holding my breath smiley

Set KPIs for them and put machinery in place to review each ministry quarterly.

I agree with you that Ragner and Russia will have it hard in comparison to the US. However, I don’t want anyone to misconstrue the purpose of US military bases.

Over the last 3 months, Putin has been intentional in securing Africa’s support. He is forgiving loans, giving helicopters and other monetary incentives.
Well hopefully dialogue works.

I read this morning that this ousted president coming to power in 2021 was the first peaceful transition of a new government since Niger gained independence. That means prior to 2021 democracy, (the way America wants it practiced ) hasn't been practiced in that country.

2021-2023 and the country is back to it's default settings.

I think a "big brother country" like France and USA interested in having democracy entrenched is such country with history of political conflict should first try to investigate the causes of these constant political instability and try to help them solve some of it. It should not just be America shouting "DEMOCARY OR NOTHING" when shiiit hits the fan.
You remember how Nigeria kept falling back to military rule back to back. It is not because Nigerians love military rule, it's because our military guys are power hungry and they felt they can always usurp powers with little or no consequences. Until the people themselves say enough is enough, this will continue to happen. The US or France will just be blamed unnecessarily.
