We were losing the midfield battle and getting dog walked with 10 men but you want to remove Mainoo for Zirkzee another lazy player, how exactly do you intend to get any sort of control in the midfield and progress the ball?

Imagine the outcry here when Ugarte (our only senior option) was introduced into the match. Mainoo was playing rubbish , and Casemiro was tired but we were still afraid to make changes.

The long and shot of this whole thing is Amad is nkt supposed to be Benched. If Dorgu is available then fine, Amad can come from the bench. The starting XI in the last 2 games is bad. We play too narrow.

Again it's Mbeumo v Amad, not Amad v Sesko. The person Amad need to bench is Mbeumo, not Sesko.

Sometimes our fans are deluded as if there are some solid replacement on the bench for midfielders.

Its either Ugarte or one of the Fletcher boys.

The board must prioritize the midfield in the summer and I sincerely hope they are not counting on Mainoo to be a starter as a double pivot if the new coach decides to go with 4-2-3-1

I said during the last match i waa told i was reactionary. Our best starting eleven is the one we started with against Arsenal and City. With Dorgu and Amad stretching the width.

I have nothing against Sesko, but bringing him into the game and benching Amad the only player that can take on a defender is very very wrong. Even if we are to bring in Sesko, Mbeumo is the person that is supposed to be benched. The last Match that Sesko satrted he even scored in the 76th, so still the same thing.

Sesko and Amad are not fighting for the same position. It's Amad v Mbeumo

There's really nothing Carrick can address at this point except to snatch and grab points here and there till the end of the season.

The team is badly assembled. We only have 3 fit midfielders, an old man Case who's our best midfielder apart from Bruno, Mainoo and Ugarte. Cunha also can't play left wing, he's an inverted 10. All these structural deficiency is starting to be more pronounced

As long as it's still those 3 rotating in the double pivot, we will continue to struggle till the end of the season.

Mbeumo loss of form has also now made it very obvious because we can't counter attack as effectively as before anymore.
