ShaqFu: and the emboldened is exactly who we are. Hope you read in the post you quoted where I said Nigerians, right.
It's very easy to make noise and shout when we don't occupy public office. I'll like to see if even you or disstroy will glad sentence any of you relative if when they're found wanting.
Let's leave it at that. If I cannot allow the law to take it course when/if my relatives are found wanting of allegedly embezzling public funds, what moral right do I have to do it to others? You see where this is going? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 9:09am On Mar 17, 2023 |
ShaqFu: Ma main man. Don't make it look like it is only Buhari who is guilty of this. It's a Nigerian thing.
Don't forget how GEJ refused to do anything about Diezani, despite the allegation of fraud cycling her head when she was minister of Petroleum.
Need I also mention during the Aviation crisis, when plane was falling from the sky like rain when OBJ was president. He refused to sack or remove the minister of Aviation Aborisade, until it was obvious the guy was related to ineptitude.
Even at that, Aborisade wasn't even sack, he was 'redeployed' to another ministry.
So ma Main man. Don't make this look like all this is new. We've seen it play out over and over again. You cannot campaign on the promise of change and end up doing the same thing you once campaigned against. If you attack Jonathan for doing something, you are an hypocrite if you then turn a blind eye when or if Buhari does the same. It's the same thing I usually tell some of our APC people on one of our telegram groups, ultimately the country is bigger than everyone whether GEJ, Buhari or even Tinubu. I remembered when Buhari pardoned Dariye that was sentenced to 12yrs in prison before the 2019 election and how pissed off I was, some was telling me that it was the council of state that recommended the pardon when in truth it's the executive that created the pardon list, my question to them was; What will be your reaction if it was GEJ that did this? Politics must not turn us into those wey criticize because at the end, we will just be looking as hypocrites. |

Tinubu himself said he will remove it, and I am pretty sure you clapped when he said it.

For me, 25th was a different ball game. Obi was the mandate, and all the NASS and Senatorial candidates rode on that wave.
Ortom supported Obi, but you can't tell me he is supporting LP from top to bottom. Many people who voted Obi still have candidates in other parties that they clamour for.

I think some of the PDP members that are angry with him because of how horrible they performed doing the national election are not being sincere with themselves. If you go to Oyo during the lead up to the presidential election, you will know there's no way Tinubu was going to lose Oyo state. It is the Tinubu wave that swept across the state that affected most of them. All those rural areas did top to bottom for APC. At least PDP still won like 4 HoR seats. What should Kwara PDP do even with Saraki that won a grand ZERO of seats. 😂 |

Why not allow Tinubu to assess things himself and then implement the subsidy removal in an organised manner. One thing we know is that Buhari will implement it in the same chaotic fashion he banned the usage of old notes. He mentioned June before maybe baba now remembered he will be gone before June so he just shifted the day back to handing over day. Its unbelievable. If he goes ahead and remove subsidy on may 29, I expect Tinubu to reverse it immediately during his inaugural speech. |

Let people put the blame on Buhari seeing that subsidy regime has become a cesspool of corruption and Nigeria can no longer afford it. He should be the one to remove it himself after having all the available facts on ground. Not Buhari removing it on the day hes handing over. It makes no sense whatsoever. |

BlueRayDick: Na buttie school u go. The minimum CGPA for SUG positions in most naija schools are usually 2.5(i.e where 2.2 starts); the way most of them dey always shout for joy when dem dey 2.5CGPA dey always funny; especially to someone who is on 4 point something and very close to 1st class. You will be wondering if these ones even get plan for their future outside politics Uniosun no be buttie school now. It's just that they want those that at least have sense and have something to lose if you mess up. It's the same reason they dont allow 400l students to contest for any post. Use your 400l to face your education or face any issue that you cause during your tenure. That's how I used my 1st semester 400l to face panel because I led a protest to stop the implementation of no school fees, no exam that the new VC wanted to initiate. The guy that won the faculty election when I was in 400l was a D.E student so he only had first semester result when the election process started and he was on 3.6, the guy campaign and spent money ehn, people voted for him, he won overwhelmingly. Like some weeks to when his tenure was suppose to begin, they release 2nd semester result and his CGPA has dropped to second class lower, that's how he was automatically disqualified from the election and the guy that came 2nd became Faculty President. I always feel pity for the other guy whenever I see him. I heard they've changed the rules now sha, D.E student cant contest for post of Presidents again so that something like that wont repeat itself. |

your average politico no care if they close school for the next 12 months. True. There was semblance of order throughout. Also you can only become President in 300l, they don't allow final year student to via for any post. In any event how will someone like you make yourself relatable to the electorate? Maybe you will migrate from your blue background fancy cooking pictures to fayose ponmo collage. During my time in school, you must attain a certain CGPA before you can contest for any elective post. Infact for those of us that contested for President of departments and faculty, you are expected to be on minimum of second class upper before you buy form and contest. Almost all the Presidents in my set (When I became President of my department association) finished with second class upper. Infact my Gen Sec finished with First Class. |
