Firstly, let me be clear and this is my own opinion, he is not the people’s governor, he does not speak for Imo people. He was neither elected by the people nor was he given the power to rule by the people of Imo state. He was appointed by the Supreme Court and that is the fact!


His illegitimacy to the people is a huge factor, it not hidden that the man is illegitimate in the eyes of Imo people. This illegitimacy has fueled a strong resistance from the people. Also, disgruntled politicians have hijacked this situation to spread and fund violence for their selfish interest.

He has contributed to the escalation of the insecurity and senseless killings in Imo State because he is failing to consult with the people of the state. I am in no way asking him to dialogue with these miscreants/ criminals, absolutely not but not consulting with the right people is why we are where we are. He has allowed the battle for supremacy and power against another prominent thief like Okorocha worsen the situation.

The indiscriminate use of the military to militarize the zone is worsening the already tensed situation. The insecurity problem is in Imo state, not freaking Abuja, consult with the people at home!!!! Closed door sessions with Buhari is not going to resolve this issue, if anything it gives the wrong optics, especially when you are not trying to solve the problem from inside.

Don’t even get me started on the salaries and pension he is owing civil servants in the state.. accreditation upon verification na him we dey hear as excuse!

At the bolded, this is a misconception that has lingered for so long. Hope Uzodinma was not appointed by the Supreme Court, he merely won back his mandate through the court, if you are looking for a state that the will of the people were truncated by the Supreme Court, it is Zamfara and Bayelsa state.

Now let's get to the fact of Imo state election tribunal. There was widespread violence in areas that were Hope stronghold, the Inec signed results from these LG were excluded from the final collation at the state collation HQ. It was on this basis that Hope Uzodinma went to court.

When the matter got to court, Hope Uzodinma was able to proof that the result Inec excluded from his votes were valid votes and the result was consented to by all the party agents and the inec officials in those LG, during cross examination, Inec was unable to give any cogent reasons why those results were voided and not collated with the final results.

The supreme court judgement was that Inec should add back those voided/uncollated votes back to APC numbers and that's how he emerged victorious at the supreme court.

So how then can you say he's not the people choice when it was the people's vote that actually counted? What happened is that Rochas and Ihedohia whipped up sentiments against him and turn the state into a killing spree.

He is the legitimate winner of that election.

On the issue of IPOB, I have been very very clear on this forum about my disdain for them and anyone involved in the killing of my people in the South East. IPOB/ ESN/ Ebubeagu and others do not represent me as an Igbo man or my thoughts about my people, consequently are not acting on my behalf.

If you remember some of the arguments we have had in the past, I have always insisted that some of the things we blame the FG for is the responsibility of state Governors and that where most of my defense of this administration has always been.

I dont know what the minister of foreign affairs is doing seriously, Simon Ekpa is the one fueling most of the atrocities that his faction of IPOB are causing in the SE, at least Nnamdi Kanu faction has renounce the sit at home of the group.

While I believe the Buhari administration is trying not to send the military to the SE so there wont be shout of "killing our people" again from the region, it's important that the govt must not cede the region to criminal elements.

When Soludo was sworn in, he called them prisoners of conscience and even visited Nnamdi Kanu in prison, days later these criminals beheaded the rep of Soludo LG sending a clear message that they are in charge. Both the political elite and the masses must voraciously stand up against these criminals.

Lastly, I'm the last person you will call a tribalist. I am a proud Yoruba yet the same way I will defend an Igbo man is the same way i will defend a Fulani or Hausa man

I do not believe Peter Obi candidacy is an IPOB one.
