Fashola has done exceptionally well in the ministry of works. I there say no minister of work has done the type and quality of work he has done on federal roads.

For example, yesterday was Lagos APC Governorship primaries.

The delegates that votes were 5 from ward in each local government.

The number 1 criteria to be a delegate is to get involved in politics at the grassroots because you can only be delegate from your ward.

Meanwhile Abacha son wins Kano PDP primaries. He will be their governorship candidate

Ambode fall hand well well, I blame his inexperience in partisan politics. Partisan politics is not your regular Accountant General position, it is more expansive and fluid. I don't think Ambode learnt the dynamics of party politics like Fash did under Tinubu and that cost him his relevance. Remember there was a period when their was perceived tension between Fash and TInubu? I think towards the end of Fash's 2nd term but Fash being a savvy politician quelled everything and worked underground to keep everything sailing.

Worsestill, Ambode is stuck with APC because any attempt to leave APC will only seal his political relevance in Lagos and Nigeria. The good thing about politics is that things go around if you stay patient and work on making some amends through constructive underground consultations. I believe he will get another shot, maybe not as Governor, especially under APC but a position that keeps him relevant.

For him to get any elected position again in Lagos APC, maybe when most of these baba don comot sha.

Ambode problem was the people that he surrounded himself with. Apart from partisan politics, his attitude is trash. See that episode that time when his wife slap the chaplain of Alausa church and he sacked him claiming the man disrespected his wife.

A lot of civil servant no like ham at all and na civil servants suppose be him base. He has a shitty personality and a vengeful attitude.

Fashola said in 2016 during the ministerial screening “May our loyalty never be tested”.

He is also not healthy enough to manage that office, Yemi Osinbajo will do a better job than any of the candidate of both APC and PDP. Na long story. Party leaders were complaining that Ambode blocked access to him. They will go to Alausa to see him and he won’t give them audience.

When they complained to Aregbe and Fashola, those ones doubted and went Alausa to see him. We heard he kept them at the waiting area till those one left at night. Both of them dey told Tinubu what is happening.

Tinubu was Ambode backbone so I guess that’s why he felt he could misbehave to everyone. Party leaders were all giving Tinubu different instance where Ambode has refused to see them or even gave them audience to air their feelings especially when Ambode brought in Visionscape and disbanded PSP to be absolved into Visionscape. Ambode also stopped funding the LSPWC (Lagos State Public work commission) who were in charge of small small road repairs in all local government. He even started owing pensioners in 2018. The first Lagos State Governor since 1999 to owe pension.

So one day, Tinubu called him on the phone as usual to tell him to do normal and all. After the call, he thought the call had ended na so Ambode begin jam talk say Tinubu Wahala too much bla bla bla. That was the day Tinubu hands off his matter.

PAYE is a low hanging fruit for government in a country like Nigeria where people do not have a culture of paying tax . Lagos state government simply intensified efforts to pluck those low hanging fruit by dragging as many company as possible into the tax net relying on the PIT act that empowers it to do so.

I do not run away from FACT because it gives context to an argument.

For the PAYE to go up, the means more people are getting job opportunities and the government has put machinery in place to make sure that their PAYE taxes are collected appropriately.

So it’s 2 things, the government made the state economic viable whereby people start getting jobs, opened up the states to more investment which brings in job opportunities for the people of the states and they also made sure the people are paying their taxes appropriately. (Tax avoidance is high in the country)

So I ask again, how is this not an achievement? If it’s not an achievement, why didn’t the other states do it? Is it because they don’t have the range?

You even admitted how the NURTW guys extort as much as they want from the hardworking transporters and don’t even account for the funds to any official government agency.
