My hall of residence is literally standing on its last legs, it has been starved of maintenance, and renovation.

But I can't complain we paid a meagre 37500 for accommodation, I know how much people in Covenant pay as accommodation.

My school fees is 27,500 I can't fault the lecturers cause most of them don't even have cars like their counterpart in private unis, so we are probably striking as result of the cheap university education.

The federal government needs to find a sustainable way to fund these institutions.

It is easy to call the lecturers greedy if you are not in system, how many of you can keep getting paid 100,000 for over 25 years in service.

Not many sha.

If you look at this post clearly. The cause and solution of our decayed educational infrastructure and standard is there for all to see.

You are paying 27,500 as school fees and want to compare to someone paying 950k.

Something that would’ve cost him over 80k in traveling and accommodation if he had traveled to Abuja and he would’ve greased enough palms sef .

It’s madness and these challenges are put in places by civil servants just to extort money from the masses.

No structure will work with the number of greedy citizens we have. They will always look for ways to extort and subvert the system.

We dey take Chemistry lecture in 2001 when a lecturer proudly announced that they will be canceling session for 9months because they were tired only for him and others to proceed to a private university where he dare not do that rubbish to earn double salary while on strike

The NIN issue is another thing entirely . Nigeria needs one database that will identify every citizen no doubt , if NIN is that database and they manage it better than it’s predecessors like the old national ID card I don’t have anything against it.

The govt needs to get serious about centralizing our database. NIN, International passport, Driver License, Voters card needs to be centralized.

All the agency in charge of these database belong to the FG but if you want to register for Driver License, even with your NIN, you will still have to be doing all the registration from scratch.

They need to harmonize their database and make it easy.

ASUU is not the only government workers on the platform but they raised issue about the credibility of the platform and they are being proven right before our eyes .

IPPIS is not the reason why these rogue ASUU is on strike. They have weaponed strike because respective government has always given in to their threats when pressure from the masses become unbearable.

There is no single reason why state university should join that strike but then we are a nation where everything is acceptable. In the SW only Lagos State University and Osun State University is not on strike. I think El Rufai has threatened Kaduna State University lecturer of no work no pay. What exactly is their business with FG when they are SG employees? Which solidarity are you doing without putting into consideration the lives of thousands of youth?

I will keep saying it, IPPIS is not the reason ASUU is on strike, they are on strike because they are greedy and always looking for way to arm twist the government.

IPPIS is not perfect, no system is but it can be improved upon to become better.

Every other thing you said, everyone should respect others right to worship whosoever they want and No one should be murdered on account of “alleged blasphemy” or any other crime for that time.

Almost all the states in the country have this criminal law in their different states criminal law or penal code.

Per sharia law, blasphemy is punishable by death. (Sharia is only applicable to Muslims. Non Muslims can’t be tried under it)

The embolden is my own problem with Nigerian politics, not necessarily the specific candidate or party. How do we get rid of this and provide a near balanced influence amongst the regions that make up Nigeria?

There has always been rotation of power between South and North. Only greedy desperados like Atiku will be coming out to be President when the North just finish their tenure of 8years.

If the South are ready, they will play their part during election and come out with the numbers, if not nobody is going to pity them when the North uses their influence over them.
