The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos state, Chief Bode George, has said that the loss his party suffered in the presidential election has strengthened his resolve to ensure victory for his party in Lagos. Chief Bode George The Punch reports that Bode George said that he would strategise and lead a massive campaign against the All Progressives Congress, which has been in power in Lagos for the past 16 years. Bode George during a telephone interview on Wednesday said that he would lead the campaign of the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, like an army general. He said, “I am here and I will be at the centre of operation. The people of Lagos also want a change and we are going to be here to lead the battle. The battle is on and the people of Lagos want a change and we will ensure that we get it right. “Lagos people know that this administration has mismanaged their resources. We are not leaving anything undone. We will reach out to the people during the campaigns.” George also made it known that he would never defect to another party. “I will remain a member of the PDP till I leave this world”. The PDP leader denied reports that he said he would go into exile following the victory of Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential polls. He said he would rather travel outside the country for a while in order to finish writing his autobiography, saying he had been unable to finish the book because of his busy schedule. He said, “I have been travelling long before now and now I need a long rest. I am 70 and I need to tidy up my memoirs and if you want to do that, you need a lot of time away from all of the hassles. But it does not mean I will no longer be a Nigerian. I have no personal grudge against Buhari or all the other people. “We are in two different parties with different ideologies and if he is the President, I have no objection and I wish him the best of luck. The break will give me time. Rather than running up and down to Abuja, I will be there (abroad) writing my memoirs and doing other things for myself. Of course I will come back, my mother is still alive. I am not scampering out of Nigeria.” |

Dear Cabal, It is time for you to give up. It is time for you to abandon ship. Dear unscrupulous cabal, enough has surely been enough. We have had it with you... your time and grip of treasury is done; your choking of this nation is over. This letter is addressed to you. You know you are a cabal if you have cut up a slice of the paupers’ loaf that you fondly and atrociously call the 'national cake.' Yes that is you. You lazy godawful, who earned what you did not work for and made us suffer. You thief. According to the latest report by the EFCC you cabal have from 1960 to 2005 looted $20 trillion dollars. 20 Trillion Dollars! That is over 100 yearly budgets put together! And in the last ten years with Nigeria earning more than ever before, you have looted no less than another 7 trillion dollars. That is final. This election you see here is a coated revolution. We are compiling a list of your names and all your benefactor family and friends. None of you will ever again near the corridors of power. It is our time. It is time for the Nigerian masses. APC cabal sef who helped this revolution will not near power. We promise you this. We thank you but it is time you retire. It is time all you cabal retire. Nigeria is about to experience a new day where our oil yield, 100%$ of it is for the masses; where our land is owned by the people and not cabal; where we farm natural seeds and not cabal GMO’s, where the masses decided and achieve in totality; where hooligans are no longer paid and political or military brute, brainless thugs no longer hold sway. LAKE FOREST, IL—Saying he was not the least bit surprised to see the former member of the congregation again, pastor James Bower told reporters Thursday that he always knew agnostic local resident Chris Parker would come crawling back to the church to get married. “I believe Chris stopped attending services when he was about 12 and hasn’t set foot in the church since, but guess who finally came around? And just months before the ceremony, no less,” said Bower, adding that Parker just showed up after 15 years of absence with hat in hand to reserve the Calvary United Church and beg the pastor to officiate, exactly how the Presbyterian minister reportedly predicted it would happen. “Chris probably thought he’d seen the last of this place, but now he’s here, right on schedule, tail between his legs, introducing me to his fiancée. They always come back, every last one of them.” Bower confirmed that he does not expect to see the agnostic for another year or two, but guaranteed that Parker would eventually be back on his hands and knees to baptize his baby.

THE HEAVENS—Describing their behavior as insubordinate and disruptive, heavenly authorities banished four angels from the Kingdom of Eternal Life this week for attempting to unionize, sources from the hereafter reported. “These four hardworking angels are only being punished because they exercised their sacred right to organize and make their ethereal voices heard,” said archangel Jophiel, an advocate for celestial workplace rights who is representing the ousted cherubim and seraphim as they demand greater compensation, limits on the number of divine messages they can be required to deliver without pausing for a break, and a standard retirement age of 5,600. “For eons, it’s been the job of these eternal guardians to watch over every soul on earth, and it’s about time they had someone who watches over them.” At press time, God announced that any angels joining a union will be dismissed for eternity and replaced with strikebreakers called up from purgatory.

Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended the resident pastor of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim at Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun Lagos over alleged unlawful exportation of 174 kilogrammes of narcotic drugs to South Africa. The suspect, Prophet Michael Raji was arrested following the interception of the drug at the cargo section of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) during pre-shipment examination. Preliminary investigation has indicated that the 60 year old suspect, Michael Raji is a suspected top member of a drug syndicate operating in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. He had three international passports bearing his photographs. One of the passports bears the name Michael Raji while the other two bear the name Kadigun Fatah Ola. It was equally discovered that the church premises where he ministers also serves as a warehouse for narcotics. The seized drugs concealed inside large bags of foodstuff were found to contain 91kg of Methamphetamine and 83kg of Ephedrine with an estimated street value of 609 million naira. A Mercedes Benz Jeep was also impounded during the operation. NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr. Hamza Umar described the suspect as a smooth operator. “I can tell you that this suspect is a smooth operator but we have uncovered his bag of tricks. The drugs were brought to the airport for export to South Africa where it was detected. Investigation eventually traced the movement of the drugs to his church premises where he was arrested”, Hamza stated. An NDLEA source said that the suspect in his statement claimed that he collected the drugs from a friend. “I received the drugs from my friend and I kept them in the church since October 2014. I am the resident pastor of Cherubim and Seraphim Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun branch, Lagos. I attended Ansarudeen Primary and Secondary School Ibadan. I later attended Yaba College of Technology where I had my Trade Test in Electrical Installation. I was ordained a full time pastor in 1977. This is a great temptation for me and I pray to God to overcome it”, Michael Raji was quotes as saying. Chairman/Chief Executive of the Agency, Ahmadu Giade said that the game was up for the suspect. “The game is up for the suspect and we have strong evidence for prosecution. This is one of the largest seizures of psychotropic substances at the airport. We are working very hard to apprehend other accomplices and bring them to book”, Giade stated. The NDLEA boss further called on members of the public to continue to support the NDLEA by volunteering useful information on drug trafficking syndicates.
