Thanks Xsolutions.

Frank, as much as that name is fit for the character, I'll be very glad if you edit it. To make peace reign. Efemena would be updating right after Moss, and the fact that Efe is her name, she has all the right to demand its removal (coincidence or no coincidence). I wouldn't want to lose a writer based on a problem that can easily be solved. I'm very sorry for the inconveniency this request might cause you. I'm very sorry.

LiteratureRe: Nairaland Detection Club by LarrySun(op): 8:15am On Feb 12, 2013
Good morning guys. I'm sure you all had nice dreams. I need to make some inherent corrections about some posts I've read on this thread so far.

1. I think we need to quite biting each other's heads off. We should continue talking harshly to each other. We all have different limits at which we can manage insults. Nobody is anybody's puppet.

2. Contrary to what some people are saying, I'm not trying to make any writer become me. We all have our different writing styles, and that's one things that will never change. Imagine how ridiculous it's going to be if Soyinka tries to become Achebe. Frank's writing style is different from Larry's, but Larry's isn't any better from his. What writers need to watch is their errors. Hell, a professional editor is capable of pointing out fusillades of errors from my Chapter One. The most important thing is to make sure our works are personally and carefully pruned as much as we can.

We should likewise criticize and critique with love and respect. Like someone has rightly said, every writer deserve being criticized but no writer is up for insult. There are many ways we can correct without weilding the hatchets.

When I initially saw that Frank named his Character Efe, I was like "What the hell!" But I later assumed that it could only be a coincidence. Just imagine how it would sound to a serious reader when he notices that a character is sharing a name with one of the writers. He would deem us a bunch of comedians. Please guys, there is an abundance of name to employ rather than using our fellow writers'.

The collaboration isn't a tug of war o. We are only proving that Nairaland writers love each other and can work hand-in-hand to create something interesting. I'm sure that in years to come, this joint work would become one of Nairaland Literature/Writing classics. And, please, nobody should consider anybody the best. We're all best in our own unique ways. A few chapters does not a best writer make. Someone made such error on a writer's thread by trying to emasculate another writer. I pretended not to see it, but at least, that has proven to me enough how such person's mind works (Please I'm naming no name). The reply the writer in question gave earned that writer a lot of my respect. So, dear readers, do not condemn another reader in the bid to praise one. This isn't easy at all, creating a chapter out of other writers' previous chapters. At least, cut us some little slacks. We cannot write and plot alike, it's impossible.

Thanks.

Bless you all.
