Politics / Re: Reasons Buhari Will NEVER Support Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition by LasgidyPort: 9:08pm On Jan 17, 2022 |
Idumuje: The choice of a Muslim VP. He is a Muslim with a lot of baggage and can't be paired with another Muslim , what made Buhari step him aside for the VP role 7 years ago will still make him to be side-stepped again. Buhari despite Tinubu's contribution made a bold move by not naming him VP. Samething will happen. |

Idumuje: Your points are spot-on. Tinubu is just too greedy. Someone with his character becoming a president of Nigeria will be catastrophic. |
Politics / Re: 2023: Nigeria Is Not For Sale - Osinbajo Support Group To Tinubu by LasgidyPort: 10:27am On Jan 17, 2022 |
phelps007: There's nothing bad in contesting and loosing. It only shows maturity. Has Ambode's loss sent him out of this world? It is only in illiterate-filled Nigeria that election loss is regarded as a disastrous end of a candidate. There's no reward for cowardice. Osinbajo should give the post a shot, this is his brightest chance. He's contesting as president of Nigeria and not president of Tinubu's clan. And there can be only one outcome, either a victory or loss. None of the outcomes is totally unbearable. He is already a comfortable and successful man by all standards. His legal practice is there for him to go back to. His name is already etched forever in the history of Nigeria as a 2-term VP. He has already made name internationally as well. He really has nothing to lose in giving a shot at it. If he didn't contest, he would have disappointed himself and millions of other people and he'll forever regret it. 1 Like 1 Share |

nezer83: A supreme court judgement is an entirely different matter. The supreme court did not give any judgement in this matter. If you have contrary opinion, kindly show us copies of the supreme court judgement. They did not even hear the case. Why is it so hard for you people to comprehend simple grammar? 1 Like 1 Share |

Mayeldah: What of the APC case in Bayelsa? A clear case of miscarriage of justice. How come you guys always find it convenient not to cite it? What concerns Buhari in a case between Innoson and GTB. The way you guys reason is mind boggling. Same Innoson vehicles that are being bought by the FG for use of the military and FRSC? 1 Like 1 Share |

DOTian: Manager? Tribal agenda? In a case involving two corporate entities. What brings tribe into a case concerning two companies that didnt consider tribe initially before entering into a joint business transaction. Is this the first time companies will have disagreement? Which party exactly has been talking about tribe over and over again? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Guaranty Trust Bank after it reversed its earlier decision which dismissed an appeal by GTB against a N2.4bn judgment given in favour of Innoson Motors Nigeria Limited by the Court of Appeal in Ibadan, Oyo State. https://punchng.com/gtbank-innoson-dispute-supreme-court-reverses-prior-ruling-readmits-banks-appeal/[/quote] |

sammyNardo: You are wrong sir. There is no law that says a VP can only serve one term. What you are trying to communicate only applies for VPs who complete the term of a president. That is, a VP that becomes elevated to a president and completes the president's term. |

Politics / Re: Osinbajo Growing Campaign: Tinubu Camp Fumes Over Buhari’s Silence by LasgidyPort: 7:47pm On Jan 16, 2022 |
emmykk: Boss Mustapha is not seasoned enough. Even for a VP position. Ordinary Zulum that is a first term governor will excite electorates better than Boss Mustapha. Boss Mustapha is also a christian and cannot command the votes of the NW. No APC governor in the NE is exceptionally popular and widely acceptable. This your template cannot work, it will make the election a walk in the park for Atiku. APC strategists are smarter than to give Atiku an easy run. |
Politics / Re: Osinbajo Growing Campaign: Tinubu Camp Fumes Over Buhari’s Silence by LasgidyPort: 6:37pm On Jan 16, 2022 |
emmykk: So who is of note from the NE that can win the presidency? Such a candidate will need the support of the South (especially the SW) to have any chance of wining, if contesting against an Atiku who will clear the votes in the SE, SS, NE and record good showing in the NW and NC. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran Launches First Military Satellite Into Orbit After Months Of Failure by LasgidyPort: 8:07am On Apr 25, 2020 |
Elpacino481: Azmanaty: You are wrong. He is not talking trash. Iran has it better with covid-19 than the US even with the population difference. Iran has 80m people US has 320m people (which is approx 4 times that of Iran). Stats as at today 25th April, 2020 Corona Infection US = 920,000 Iran = 88,000 Corona Deaths US = 52,000 Iran = 5,500 With the above, if you calculate them per equal ratios, the US is twice worse-off than Iran with covid-19. Infact, it's just a small margin, otherwise the US would have been 3 times worse-off. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Politics / Re: Reps To Buhari: Suspend Ban On Importation Of Cars Through Land Borders. by LasgidyPort: 3:55am On Dec 10, 2016 |
bashydemy: That will not work abeg. People who buy luxury vehicles must pay more. It doesn't make much sense if I buy small 2002 Corolla and you want me me to pay same tax with someone that buys 2014 Landcriuser SUV. To put your suggestion in proper perspectives, in the current regime the 2002 corolla may be having a total cost of clearing of about 400k while the Landcriuser may be like 2m or more. So you can see advocating they pay same fee will not be fair on folks buying smaller cars. People are calling for luxury tax to make rich folks pay more, but you are inadvertently requesting for them to pay less. What we just need is to reduce the complexity of clearing goods at the port and make the process very simple and open through the use of technology. We also need to expand the capacity of our ports and reduce the over concentration on Lagos ports. Other ports need to be made viable. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Rivers Re-run Election: Who Wins This Battle Tomorrow Amaechi Or Wike? by LasgidyPort: 3:19am On Dec 10, 2016 |
PDP will win majority while APC will also win some. The reason why this Rivers election has become a hotbed is just because PDP wants to ensure it wins everything 100%. If that occurs under a free and fair atmosphere, then it is all well and good. Otherwise, any attempt to ensure PDP wins the entire election 100% by using brute force, the violence will definitely continue. And the cycle of wasted resources on conducting elections and loss of lives will continue. |

NairaMaster1: Yes, the tribunal first upheld his election before it was appealed all the way to the Supreme Court. Substantive election matters is beyond the jurisdiction of the Federal High court but solely rests with the election petition tribunal as recently affirmed in the appelate court ruling of Ogar vs Ikpeazu. |
Politics / Re: PDP Protests In Tai As INEC Boss Refuse To Conduct Fresh Election In Tai by LasgidyPort: 2:52am On Dec 10, 2016 |
fran6co: Once INEC has already declared a result, its only an election petition tribunal that can cancel such results. Nothing concerns the Federal High Court with substantive election matters as recently affirmed by the supreme court. 1 Like 1 Share |
