JeromeBlack: British Airways does not arrive in the morning.
And by 6hrs plus, your pizza would have changed taste. Thank you, o jare. Enlighten those who think that anything goes, in a foreign airspace. UK is not Nigeria. In Naija, you can fly anything around from anywhere. Abroad, their people inspect everything that is about to be put on board a plane. When it comes to cooked food, they scrutinise it to an inch of its life. Unaccompanied pizza allowed to fly out from UK, without going through their lengthy checks? And do you know how long those checks last? I laugh in Chinese! Why do we believe such fairytales? JeromeBlack: Which kind foolish wealth?
The wealthy people I know don't even order pizza. They have chefs who can make it from scratch. Pizza is something you can make in your house. God bless you! Thanks again for enlightening the clueless, bro.' |

NOC1: If you people have not met crazy people I have, i don't doubt him a bit that some Nigerians order pizza from abroad. I have a friend who's dad do pay for cooked beans from Ghana high restraunt Lagos and they will fly it to Abuja or Delta state.
On Fridays we will buy the beans, take it to airport for it to be delivered to him. Some Nigerians are sick, when I raised this issue yesterday someone told me of a popular person who gets his bread from London. There is a flight almost every hour from Lagos to Abuja, on different airlines. It does not cost much to cargo a bowl of cooked beans from Lagos to Abuja. The flight is not more than 45 minutes to 1 hour at most. And how much does it cost to convey a kilo of cargo by air, within Nigeria? What is the weight of one bowl of beans? But sending pizza from London to Lagos, is a far fetched rumour. People like to spread hype and rumour. How would such food escape the eagle eyes of the food quarantine people in the UK? Right at their airport? How would you send pizza on a 6-8 hour flight, from London to Lagos and expect it still to be fresh, especially considering the cheese and other stuff used in it? Anyone who offers such things to you, is doing you a diservice. Pizza is best served hot. Yes, there are coolers you can put it in, and cooler bags that can be used, but at the end of the day, the pizza would have lost its freshness. And by the time inspection agents pass it through their processes, before declaring that it can be transported, you can imagine the condition of that pizza. Is it worth the hassle? |

AryaSand: OP, forget, late risers are usually not organised. You have to get them to start waking up early first before teaching them to be organized. It's a Process.
Here are Solutions.
(1) Get yourselfurself a very Loud alarm clock, with time you'll be waking up on your own, before the alarm clock even. OR (2) Find yourself a Live in Nocturnal Human whose job is to wake you up with Cold water every morning. OR (3) Own your own business (that way, you can sleep as you want) Wrong. Being organised has nothing to do with how early you wake up, or how late you sleep. There are many early risers who are quite disorganized. |

ladman: We are saying the same thing. MAP ought not to sell it to you. You should get your meter from the discos. Do you even understand what MAP is all about? It was meant to make it easy for the end user to get the pre-paid meter, without being subjected to the delay and haphazard stress of the Discos. The original ideology behind MAP was to decentralise the deployment of prepaid meters. So why subject the end user to the delay of the Discos again, if MAP is truly functional? |

Kokaine: That's why you don't reply everyone. Not everyone is experienced in life. There are people you can easily tell to leave your house. There are those you have to balance many equations in order to step on their toes. Especially when you mentioned he's your closest and oldest friend. Best method is pay a lady to act like she's your new madam. And tell him gradually she likes privacy. He will get the message. That guy is NOT his friend. He is simply a souless parasite, that is just using the OP Dierich. A true friend will show concern and compassion for his friend, who is ill. He would also try to behave in a manner, that would NOT jeopardize his friend's peace of mind and well-being. What sort of a friend ignores his friend's pleas and warnings to desist from an act, and blatantly flouts the terms laid down by his friend, who is accomodating him? Abeg, the OP is better off without him. Not all friends are meant to stay in your life, forever! |

It makes more sense. Which MAP? Call any of those private companies producing pre-paid meters today that you want to buy one under the MAP scheme, and they would still refer you back to the Discos, claiming they cannot sell to you directly. |

Nevee: Estimated billing is not illegal. In fact, it is recommended and approved by the sector's regulatory body. But Government wouldn't tell you that, they want everyone to keep using the DISCOs as a shield for their gross in incompetence. If it were illegal, why haven't they penalized any DISCO for it? Government should come out and tell us the truth, we are tired of the blame-games. Stop supporting govt's attempt at extortion, by claiming that estimated billing is not illegal. Even if there is a law supporting it, such a practice is still an undercover method of cheating people. And such a law, is an unjust law! Why should you force people to pay for electricity units they have not consumed? In another country that respects its citizens and the rule of law, their govt compelled a public utility company to payback citizens it had overcharged. In Nigeria, the govt empowers public utilities to cheat the poor helpless citizens. |

Sydlake: I doubt if we are ripe for automatic ticketing in this country. Whether you like it or not, we cannot do everything the way it is done in the western world. You are talking about automatic ticketing at a train station, when people can seldom dispense fuel to themself at a gas station. I stand corrected, automatic ticketing at train station can be very delicate, I’ll rather go to the ticket counter to purchase my ticket in cash. Not to talk of most people taking these trains are not well equipped educationally for this things. Is it people that can hardly withdraw money by themselves at an ATM machine you’ll tell to go and buy ticket from a machine at the train station? That being said, not being automatic still creates more employment. We are ripe for it. But the govt should ensure that private companies are placed in charge of such automated vending machines, not the corrupt NRC officials. Many Nigerians know how to use an ATM card. Many more are quite familiar with the use of a GSM phone. If Nigerians can use such things successfully, why won't they be able to use a ticket vending machine? All that needs to be done is to educate people properly, on how to use it. Chikena! Ghostgambler: The problem you mentioned here happens in other countries. If a person is confused as to how to buy a ticket in london for example there are station attendants to explain and help and before you know the person is a pro at it. We really should stop putting ourselves down. Use the ticket vending machines and all this will stop. Exactly! Thank you o jare. You have said it all. |

BedLam: None sense. Modern concept with so much unintelligent implementation. When machines are involved, there will be very little chances of corruption.
Problem: ticket racketeering. Why?: Humans are involved.
Solution: No humans should sell tickets! Tickets should be bought through vending machines! All these nonsense will stop. You don't know Nigerians. Those NRC staff will ensure that they buy up most of the tickets, and create artificial scarcity. Or they might ensure the vending machine breaks down frequently, without taking steps to fix it. This will bring everyone back to square one. No be Naija we dey? Our people know how to frustrate good initiatives. The solution is to put the vending machines in the hands of private companies, and set targets for them on how much they need to remit to NRC monthly, or offer them commissions on the numbers of tickets sold through those machines. |

Guest2017: As beautiful as the airport looks , they don’t have a speaker (public address system) to announce arrivals and departures. They practically have to clap to catch your attention and make announcements about departures and arrivals. It needs an upgrade. Yes, they need to upgrade. But it is fast becoming a commercial airport. Air Peace and 1 other airline conduct daily flights to Asaba from Lagos. But it is only 1 return flight per day. On Fridays sometimes or public holidays, it increases to two flights. But the frequency of flights is too low. Trying to get a direct flight to Asaba is often difficult, as the existing airline seats are often oversubscribed. Something needs to be done about this. |
