just for fun. As A graduate, if u are offered a job as a cleaner for a pay of say 50 to 80k, would you accept it? Maybe in an oil company or multinational?

If wishes were horses, everybody wud ride them. Getting jobs in top schools doesnt happen by wishes or luck, what do u have 2 offer?
Aside Ur paper qualifications and ur NYSC experience, wat else do u have, have u upgraded urself?
I started with a 20k salary teaching job, moved to 25k, then to 45k and now though not there yet,but I can say am not doing badly. I saved up and got myself upgraded and i dont regret doing so.
People must be ready to start small. Don't look at big salaries if u re just a novice in the field, you'll be frustrated.
Just My little advice tho. Btw, dis is d right time 2 scout for jobs.

Please pardon my naivety, but want to know if there is any Secondary school in naija that pays entry level graduate to the tune of 90k upwards.?

Any idea about the entry level salaries of some of this schools: Corona schools, Chris land schools, Loyola Jesuit, DAY WATERMAN college and other schools in their class, especially those schools that was listed as top 100 schools in Nigeria by an active poster on this thread?

Please don't ignore, after reading, really need your input.

This info can always be gotten online. I'm not certain of their actual pay but I can confidently tell u that those schools u mentioned pay above 90k to as much as 200k including other mouth watering benefits. They are what u call grade A schools.

U cant avoid office politics. if u dont play it, someone will play it against u.

Actually, you're not supposed to accept that offer, neither are you supposed to reject it. Why? If you accept it just like that, you stand a chance of being short-payed. If you reject it, you've lost an opportunity that many graduates will die to have.

So what do you do?
Go there with a counter-offer! You can write them stating that you made a little research and found out that the amount is "below market rate" for the position. Then include a range in you're comfortable with.
They will call you for discussion, and from there they're likely to at least increase it.
