Big girlllll, gbogbo bigsss girlll that's not doing 20 hr jobs as a student grin

It's not a faceless forum for me, and if you want to see me, you can send a DM and arrange a meet

LOL if you check well, I even mentioned you to give you a solid solution and even asked your location cos I have someone who can offer you sponsorship at no cost provided you meet requirements. Would be easy as just putting in a good word for you

It's not hard to see the bile in your heart and the entitlement mentality seeping through your veins and escaping your lips

Again, may God help you solve your issues and make your path straight

You'll be fine, or maybe not wink

You ended it with humour but may God Bless you and your intentions. @Akhat this should be extra motivation to ace the test.

And please pay it forward when you're blessed enough to do so.

Hello Ancestors in the house, pls help me understand.I registered with clearscore last month to check my score and all was well until last week when I got an email that my score had dropped by 140 points without any hard search to get any credit card or loans.

Pls help me understand what dropped the score as 140 is not a small score ooo

TIA

Stay in Darlington, Thornaby, Peterlee, Sunderland and look for a hustle in Sunderland, Washington or Durham.

Transport fare to Newcastle on a regular may dent you.

I checked on my Lloyd's Bank app. It's the 2nd tab below your account balance on the home screen.

jblesn:
How did you check your credit score? I have spent about two months in the country and i tried checking on clearscore but its saying nothing is coming up. I have a SIM contract and I have set up DD for my electricity bill

I hope this helps: I registered on Credit Ladder based on the info I got here, linked it to my Lloyds and allowed it read my transactions and I was asked to quote the transactiona narration for my tent as was captured by my bank which I did. I don't think it has counted yet because there seems to be a window for new items to reflect e.g my electoral registration.

lightofjoy:
How do you add your rent, I also paid for 6 month but when I was still in Nigeria. I transfered the money to a friend here who helped to pay on my behalf. How do I add this to my credit rating?
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by LaXxOnebody(m): 9:58pm On Jan 07, 2023
It was the letting agency, because 'I had no UK roots', despite providing a UK homeowner guarantor. But I've loaded it now on Credit Ladder.

Omo I don't think I'd be able to spend £1k in 3 months!

bigtt76:
Nice one. Don't mind the Monzo werey ...they bounced me too and I went same route as you did for 1.

Boya make you try my AMEX referral https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/tEMItOhbvx?XL=MNANS - you get 6000 Avios once you are approved and you spend up to $1000 within 3 months.

You can use the card to pay your utility bills though its advisable you use below 25% of your approved credit limit to boost your credit scores.

Was it the landlord that pressured you into paying 6 months rents in advance instead of monthly?

1 High Street - Lloyds
2 Digis - Revolut & Monese

Tolzeal:

Are these Main Street banks or digital banks ? I received quite good inflow as-well but checking with ClearScore isn’t as up to that.
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by LaXxOnebody(m): 8:41pm On Jan 07, 2023
Okay

Monzo bounced me.

1. So I opened a Lloyds Classic, Revolut & Monese (both basic accounts).

2. No credit card yet. I'm going to be shopping for one soon.

3. I paid 6 months of rent at once via a transfer from my Lloyd's. I just paid British Gas via Direct Debit for Electricity & Gas on the 26th of December. Phone & Internet will come on live this January.

Water bill.is on my wife's account. I also just registered and got confirmation of being on the electoral register.

bigtt76:
Impressive. For the benefit of others, can you share the following details

1. Type of accounts you opened
2. Type of credit card (if any)?
3. How do you pay your bills?

Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by LaXxOnebody(m): 11:24pm On Jan 06, 2023
I guess I've been lucky with my credit score. Its 572 and I'm just under 2 months in the country.

I opened 3 accounts and had a significant inflow of about £5k so I don't know if that helped.

Solumtoya:

The more you apply and get bounced, the lower your score gets. Stop applying and just use and repay judiciously. Try and stay in same house for a while, don't close Bank Accounts. But most importantly: GIVE IT TIME... For many, with all the hard checks that came with your application, you may need to wait it out to improve

Read the contract again. It's possible that the 3 months payment was just the initial, subsequently rent should be monthly.

Wait for input from others too.

Gift7428:
Hello everyone
Merry Christmas

Please I need you guys to help me not crucify me abeg.

What if I can’t afford to pay 3 months upfront as it is in the contract ( I didn’t even read contract properly then as I was very desperate to get a house and all the agents requested upfront payment.
My first payment was 3 months upfront and it is due soon.
I can afford my rent monthly. I don’t even get paid that way. This rent issue is already affecting me, thinking too much.
I feel it’s very unfair to people coming from outside the UK.

How do I go about this?
Will I be chased out? I live with my child. I like the place and I don’t want to move out.

Please help me guys. Thanks

How are you my co parents? God bless you all.
How are you guys coping with school pick up and drop off? Other parents tend to ignore you while standing in the queue and depressed faces all over the place. Infact is not a fun place to be. This makes the whole experience burdensome. What are your experience fam and what are your coping strategies?

I'll say hi when next I see you at Monkchester Nursery

Hi.

Thank you all for all your posts. Regardless of the ideological leanings they've been very helpful (at least to me) in picking insights across the spectrum.

I recently arrived as a dependant and it's been a bit tough, but like everybody says, I'll adjust.

I'm in the Newcastle area and wouldn't mind more experienced people who can give direction.

If there's also any valuable info pertaining to the Tyneside I'd be glad to receive it.

Once again, kudos to you all for the help you provide.

ILR update

5years don waka, we still dey Carry go oo grin grin....... Time really does fly.
Alhamdulillah for his mercies. Just like yesterday we came and now due and successfully applied for ILR.

Like everyone on the Tier 2/Skilled worker route knows, once you have stayed for 5yrs in the country you are eligible to apply for ILR. The application should be successful, all things being equal.

Another beneficial note some may not know is you are eligible to apply 28days before your first issued visa and any day between that and when you eventually got into the UK is deemed as "absence".

This date is one of the most important criteria for application and other documents required below

A. letter from employer confirming one is still required in that role and the salary is as per home office guidance and requirements
B. Ielts/Naric certificate
C. Life in the UK test (not difficult if you use the previous apps shared)
D. Payslip and bank statements
E. Consent forms for all applicants
F. Utility bills
G. Birth certificate for kids on Tier 2 visa
H. Biometric appointment fees £132 - £250 (this can be avoided with certain tricks shared previously)
I. Application fees - £2404 - £3204 - see screenshot below and start saving ooo.
J. Letter from your employer regarding any absence - main applicant ONLY

Also learnt kids born before you obtain ILR are eligible for citizenship after ILR approval so will be updating about that process later on.

All in all a smooth process, though the money it gulped for a family of 3 no allow us celebrate am well.

Please you all should address me now as fatima ILR oo, shoulder pad is High now grin grin

P.S- declare any speeding point on your licence as this doesn't affect your application as long as it wasn't taken to court.
Avoid any court challenges as this might affect your 5yr eligibility with a 2yr delay

If you fix the burst air bag in the steering, the broken lights behind and the AC, a buyer will appear within hours. But expecting the buyer to fix it is just so wrong, so it means if you weren't selling you wouldn't do that?

Hi...I called you on Friday trying to find out more about the vehicle, you brusquely dismissed me and you were borderline saucy. If you want to do business and you put your numbers out here, be ready for different calls from different people. So dont take out your frustrations on other people.
If you are still down for business, lets schedule a viewing on Sunday evening.
