opiscoal:You want him to play with injury? |
robosky02:Na wa for you guys o. Will they train for 24 hours ![]() |
NIgerian fans can be such i-d-i-o-t-s. A team loses for the first time in 2 years and they have become rubbish. How many of the s-t-u-p-i-d foreign clubs you support can go 44 matches unbeaten? I shake my head for all these plastic fans. I have unshakeable faith in this team. |
Ghana wins 3-2 YES! YES!! YES!!! |
Argentina 0 - Ghana 2 66mins I'm so proud! Go Ghana!! |
Argentina is in trouble. Ghana leading 1 nil at first half. |
The thing with these hapless critics is that they are always all out to talk when the plan fails. If we had utilized the attacking opportunities that came our way, we'd have won the game fair and square. That's actually the difference between the two teams. One was clinical in front of goal, the other was not. |
The losing part aside, I love the Nigeria-Brazil game. End-to-end football. At one point, the commentator said, "These are proper football teams". When we scored the second goal and we were all over them for a third goal which Awoniyi missed before they immediately launched forward to score the equalizer, the commentator said he was not sure Brazil would come back into this game. It was an exciting game. I still rate the Flying Eagles very highly. |
So many plastic fans in Nigeria. Mtschew... For me, I still stand by the Flying Eagles. We are carting p the trophy. |
A crisis meeting was called after the match and Manu Garba bore his mind. He gave them a tongue-lash. Asked them to shape up or ship out. The tournament just started, guys. We are winning the trophy. |

Mehn...we need to replace Enaholo. He was poor in aerial balls. He was poor in his kicks. He was poor in ground balls. He was poor in his positioning. He gave away two goals in the second half. The defence was bad, but we'd have come out with a draw if he did his own work well. |
The Flying Eagles will be back. I have an unshakeable belief in them. |
We will win this match but we need someone to help make Iheanacho visible. The midfield is in shambles so kelechi is in hiding. We might need to sacrifice Awoniyi for a Sokari. |
mackfame:That's why the goals came from his side. Ndidi and Yahaya are helping Musa. Success and Bello are leaving Mustapha for dead. Ifeanyi is sleeping. |
If only Isaac had been selfish we would have been leading now. He has a killer instinct. |
We need Idowu in this midfield. |
mackfame:Not true. The poor guy is being left alone. No one is covering for him. It's usually 2 against one for him, sometimes 3. |
Ndidi is protecting Musa, but Bello is not doing such a great job for Mustapha. Ifeanyi Ifeanyi is not mopping up nicely. |
Isaac is not tracking back to help Mustapha |

Since honeric01 has refused to unban joseph1013, I saw this lovely interview with Isaac Success and I thought to share Success: We will beat Brazil to win World Cup Success: We will beat Brazil to win World Cup Nigeria's Flying Eagles by Samm Audu Sunday May 31, 2015. 20:10 Flying Eagles striker Isaac Success said he believes the team will beat Brazil on their way to winning a first-ever FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand. The full interview: QUESTION: How has it been for you in New Zealand in terms of the cold weather and the huge time difference? SUCCESS: It has been great. Personally, the conditions are not my business for now. The business is to get the trophy to Nigeria. As a player you have to be ready, whether it’s hot or cold, you just have to give your best. You talk about the trophy, the fans back home in Nigeria are also talking about it. Is it possible for this team to win it? Yes, everything is possible with God and hard work. You cannot believe in God and not work hard. You must be committed. Success: I'm in the shop window in New Zealand So, this could be the time and place for Nigeria to win the U20 World Cup? I believe when we beat Brazil in our opening game, we will get to the final. What then do you know about Brazil? Brazil are not extraordinary. From what I have seen in training with my team, the Flying Eagles, we are capable of anything. You were the star of the 2013 CAF U17 African Championship, but unfortunately you were injured in the early games of the U17 World Cup the same year. So, this is only your second major tournament with this team. Are you under pressure to prove yourself again? No. My focus is for the team to fulfill their purpose of being here in New Zealand. It’s not about the individual. So, I believe playing with the team and winning, is a lot more important than playing as an individual and losing. I’m ready to play with the team. What has given you so much confidence with this Flying Eagles? We are comfortable as individuals, collectively we are comfortable and we are comfortable with the technical crew as well. It is just for us to put our heads down and realise what we want. Iheanacho: I want to be world No 1 What can you say about the other teams in your group? No team is a threat to us in this tournament. You must have watched the opening games of the competition, like that between the host team New Zealand and Ukraine. What are your impressions? It was not a good display, but possibly this was because it was the opening match of the competition. I believe they will improve as the tournament gathers momentum. You have made your debut in the Spanish La Liga this past season and even managed a goal. Are you satisfied with your first season as a full-time professional? I am not really. I did not have enough playing time at Granada. But at least I am happy that we are staying up in La Liga and this will give me a second chance to prove myself if I were opportuned. It's Musa Yahaya vs Moses Simon Are you staying back at Granada or are you looking out for another club? We know you are on loan from Udinese. I am just a player and the decision is left for Udinese whether to recall me. If they do not need me, I will continue to play in Granada. I believe if I have a good World Cup, I will definitely get a good offer. So, you are on the shop window at this World Cup? This is the World Cup and even kids who know nothing about football will be watching. Players at U20 level are capable of playing in the top leagues across the world, so I am ready to do what I can do. But you were not available for the team in the qualifiers including the AYC. What was the problem? Was it you or your club? It was difficult, almost impossible, because my club were under pressure, we were not doing well and we wanted to fight to stay in La Liga and I was needed. That was why I couldn’t come to join the Flying Eagles. Nigeria vs Brazil will be a spectacle says Manu But you are now back and ready to give everything for this team. I’m ready because it’s been long I have been with the team and the players and coaches have missed having me around, almost two years now. So, I want to give all I can because I don’t know when I will get another call-up. How fit are you because there were rumours you were nursing an ankle injury towards the end of the season? I’m fine. I’m okay. What qualities do you bring to this highly talented team? They were not lacking anything even in my absence. But the coach believes in me. What of your power, push and your speed? No. It’s about scoring goals. Even before I came, Awoniyi has been scoring good goals. If you are a striker, you must deliver for your team. I am just opportuned to be in this team. Flying Eagles to outshine Brazil Does the thought come across to you that you could also feature for the Olympic team and the Super Eagles soon? For now, no. My focus is the U20s and the World Cup now. If anything comes out of this, I will be lucky. In life, it is a step at a time. What will be your message to the fans? I promise I’m ready to work for this team. They should not expect anything big from me, they should expect something big from the team. Thank you. You are welcomed. |
GEJPosterity:I sometimes get so irritated at these i-d-i-o-t-i-c posts questioning their ages that I just waka pass. No matter how much we educate these re-tards that these boys have been together for long, they will still come the next day to spew trash. I was on FIFATV today watching highlights of matches and one of the comments by an African says something to the effect that African teams should not be takesn serious because 95% of the players are above 25. I was like 'whaddafcuk'. Beats me, our mentality! |
kannymoore:Oga, I don talk am before say I no dey follow anybody drag rivalry for these boys. Anybody wey wan start mak e start. Na team work which leads to winning na im I dey for. |
