that lack of fitness
played a part in
Kelechi Iheanacho’s
travails at the 2015
Fifa Under-20 World
Cup in New Zealand.
Iheanacho started Nigeria’s first game of the
competition against Brazil but never started
another game as the Flying Eagles bowed out in
the round of 16 following a truly dour defeat to
Germany.
Ugbade has now moved to explain that
Iheanacho was a few paces behind most of his
teammates at the World Cup.
“There are no big names in our team. We gave
(players like) Kelechi Iheanacho and Success
Isaac the opportunity. Everybody in the team
was treated like equals.
“If Kelechi is such a big name as many say he
is, how come he is not playing in the first team
at Manchester City?
He (Iheanacho) came into the camp with just
two days to our first match and that was not
good enough for him to play all the matches.
“His level of fitness was not (at par with) the
others and that was the main issue.
People do not make decisions for us whether or
not Kelechi plays,” he told Nigeria Info FM.
Iheanacho played in just two games (one as a
substitute) in Nigeria’s campaign in New
Zealand.

dunno what the hell happened...didn't even see the match. But if you had given an elementary school ccoach this team, he would've thrown everything at the Germans and gone full throttle....I mean, it was that basic.

Throw the freaking arsenal and damn it to hell. I'm not even close to being a coach, but I damn sure would have done better

I know a sold match when I see one. This was definitely sold. Manu is out of my list. I do not care about his brilliance.

If he is not loyal to the Nigerian football fans, he can keep his talent to himself.

This was a good selling point for him. His chance to prove himself as the right man for the Super Eagles.

Everybody can't be like our boys at least they are competing hard im proud of Africa especially Senegal and Mali making it thus far with little or no preparation.

I'm studying with Johns Hopkins University's School of Medicine's Brain Science Institute (JHM BSI) on full research studies longTerm Scholarship as an Online and On-Campus Certified Neurosciences Research Resident/Scholar. I'm combining dis wit my medical Mbbs studies in Nigeria having recently wrapped up my 1st med degree studies in Human Anatomy with Honors.

So, that's a wrap Sir... All glory to GOD... So uhm... Back to the Super Flying Eagles and the Awesome Super Falcons...

Is germany really invincible? HELL NO. They are yet to battle real teams in this tournament.
