eyinola:Ouch. Do you have a list of schools offering pgwp? |
Gift212:Please, do you have a list of schools with PGWP? |
eyinola:Oh. Which school are you looking for, for a work permit abeg? I am interested in IT related courses. |
Gift212:What do you think about the school? I checked their site and the IT courses on offer look interesting. |
eyinola:Please, can you share the school's contact with me? |
My journey starts today. April 8, 2022. I studied engineering and I have been a project manager for more than 7 years now. I tried the express entry but the CRS score for me and my family is very low at 414 so I have decided to try the study route. First off, I need suggestions on a masters or diploma that is cost friendly and suitable for my background. Thank you, guys. |
I need your advice: I recently got to know about these safe investments and I'm excited at what can become of them if you add to them regularly and then use the power of compound interest. Here is my question : I have a new born that is not yet a year old. I would like to start him up on one of these investments, TB, Mutual funds or bonds. Which one should I go for? |

Please I need your help. What is a 5million compounded investment in treasury bills at an average rate of 13% after 4 years? |
TONY56:Understood. But what about the people here saying they had a year bid. That means they all bidded at the primary market with at least 50 million naira? Thanks for the various responses. |
SOME PERSPECTIVES "Let me scare you. You, yes you. The Nigerian. 1. The risk free rate of borrowing is ~22% 2. This is not sustainable because of the following: a) There is no incentive for anyone in the near-term to leave their money in a bank account at 2% when you can earn 20% from Treasury Bills. Over an extended period, banks will be starved of deposits and the ability to lend will be severely curtailed. b) The government does not earn enough money to service its debt obligations and meet other budgetary obligations. c) banks can theoretically stop lending, cut staff strength and deploy most of its unencumbered funds into govt bills and still earn a 22% NRFF. d) bank debtors can expect to pay more. Why would the bank opt to lend to you for less than 30% and lose sleep over your (in)ability to pay when it can lend to the Federal Government for 22% and show excellent liquidty ratios on its books to boot? 3. If your assets do not earn more than 22% per annum, you will be poorer in real terms in a year from now. Your idle N100 will be worth no more than N82 in a year from now. 4. CockneyKem has said she is looking to refinance the domestic debt in the international market. Good and bad news if she succeeds. Whereas the government cannot default on local debt, it only needs to print more money, (NSPMC to the rescue), it can default on external debts. External debt service has to be met with real money, not monopoly money. 5. Next year, the election cycle kicks off. Nothing happens in the year before the elections other than campaign and chop-money. A certain Goodluck Jonathan once budgeted the equivalent of a lunch allowance for the ministry of works in the year preceding the elections. Kindly expect the "Foreign-Based President" to be a lot more fiscally reckless in 2018. Fasten your belts, shine ya eyes, avoid voting for any party that has a 3 letter acronym. But then I may be wrong. Barika Jimoh. - Tèmítáyò Fábùnmi |
tunene66:Thanks boss! |
Investnow2017:Done |
There's still something I'm yet to understand. Must I have N50m before I can invest in the primary market, or are there banks who will allow me invest something as small as 500k through them? I have used Stanbic for my secondary market and they didn't give me my 364 days request, therefore I'm considering opening a FirstBank account if they will give me the maximum days. |
tunene66:Please send it to me leecodeman@gmail.com |
Thanks so much for your answers. Enlightening! Let me ask, can I get the historical chart for Tbills to see how how the rates have moved up and down over the years? The longer the better. |
CuteRedd:Any reason why it's so low? People were getting 18% in early July on this thread. |
I had told the lady in charge of TB at Stanbic IBTC, Ikate branch to do a 365 days for 500k for me since late June. She said she would check and get back to me. When she didnt get back to me, I went there on 6 July only to have her say that it was successfu yesterday (5 July) and I would be debited that day. I wasn't but could not go because of the busy nature of my job. Finally went there two days ago and she said it was successful and doesnt know why I was not debited. Went again yesterday and she said there is no response yet. Just now, I got this alert: "A debit of NGN419028.77 occurred on your A/C XXXXXX1874. Date:16-08-2017 at 16:44. Details: 05 JUL 2018 TBIL PUR . Balance:NGN81078.19" Questons: 1. Is this kind of (bad) behaviour common with Stanbic? 2. What rate is this? Looks quite low on the surface. 3. What's your advice to me going forward? |

Engr., please help with this. Went for an interview and was asked what I will do if after getting the building super structure to the roofing level, I found out that the steel roofing in the design is too much for what has been built up. I have to use the steel roofing. How will you answer this question satisfactorily? |
