Thats a very nice observation. However, I still find it very harsh to absorb the conclusion that my main aim of posting updates here is to outpost Joseph 1013, the op that created the thread. I also have on many occassions read through the posts in the thread to make sure that I do not post news items that have already appeared in here. If that is till the case then, it might be as a result of the delicate nature of our network. I am a member of this forum and a die hard follower of this thread, let alone the people that are always here to make reasonable comments in this very thread. I also admire every body including you whose comments I always found interesting as far as this thread that has provided us the sweet plat form to celebrate our darling SUPER FLYING EAGLES even before the tournament starts formerly, is concerned.
I plead to be pardoned for my unavoidable negligence, if it has become the exclusive preserve of the person that created this thread to solely be responsible for updates here. Thank you.
Bros, nothing do you. Continue your work. ignore any form of discouragement. Joseph, abi wetin you talk?

Manu tips Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Sokari to shine
https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2015/05/Samm_7_May_1.jpg
Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kingsley Sokari and Moses Simon are the players Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba has picked to shine at the FIFA U20 World Cup, which begins next week.
Awoniyi’s goals crowned the Flying Eagles African champions in March, Iheanacho is firing again after injury, while Enyimba midfielder Sokari has broken into the first team and Moses Simon proved his worth by clinching the Belgian league championship with Gent.
“Right from the qualifiers, Taiwo Awoniyi has been very consistent and he has improved match after match. He is a player who gets into a scoring position better than any other player,” said Manu in an interview.
“I believe if he stayed calm, he will be one player who will do very, very well at the World Cup.
“There are some others like Kelechi Iheanacho, who was the best player at the last U17 World Cup. If he was free of injury, he will hit very big as well.
“There is also Kingsley Sokari. If he listened very well and works very hard too, he will have a great World Cup.
“You cannot forget a player like Moses Simon, who has been fantastic in Belgium, he will be great.”
Manu is upbeat about the quality running through the Flying Eagles that he predicted the team to produce both the best player and top scorer at the U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
“I believe the best player and highest scorer (of the World Cup) will come from my team,” he tipped.
Chai! Chai!! Chai!!! This World Cup just dey sweet my belle. See confidence.

If na Keshi now, e go dey say make we dey pray before we beat Chad. Yet na Egwueke and Agbim e go dey invite.

These foreign teams have a way of disrespecting us. Since Simon has won the league for Gent, why cant they release him to join the Flying Eagles in New Zealand? Do they need to let him play a needless match on Sunday?
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by LeeCodeman: 8:13am On May 22, 2015
Please, is Gent going to qualify directly into the Champions'league as the Champions of Belgium or will they play Playoffs?

nah, wasn't talking of that pic. I meant the third one with the light-skinned short dude and the dark tall one.
Third or fourth picture? The light-skinned short guy is Musa Yahaya while the dark tall guy is Muaazam. Muaazam is on standby while Yahaya has been picked.

A good test match for Ghana. Nigeria should forget all those German U23 clubs and face some real tests too. Nothing wrong in playing 1 or 2 European/Asia/South American U20 sides.
Unless we are playing Argentina or Germany, there is no team that is better than these German teams in New Zealand.

One other thing that impresses me about Manu Garba is that even when he was owed salaries for many months, he did not make noise about it or badmouth the nff about it. Unlike Keshi who was always in the press talking about it and saying that he was going to leave, even saying that countries are already lining up to sign him to coach their national teams.

Very focused man!

U lie show me where i said MY FLYING EAGLES ARE NOT SO GOOD,
So are u saying this team can beat any team in the world 5-0? I simply said id prefer better friendly matches for a better gauge of where we are at like say Argentina, Germany or even some senior African teams. These are just practice matches hommi so don't trip.
Bros, na wa o. Whose words are bolded. Small small na

BascoVanVeli:
My question never dared insinuate that my beloved flying eagles are not a top team so lets get that very clear young man.
The fact remains if you lose 5-2 and 5-0 u can not be that good. Even our home teams didn't lose that bad only the dolphins lost 4-1 and that was because they lost their talisman Emem Eduok a single player so that should show you that maybe those 5 are all those clubs have.
And yes, there are plenty teams in this World Cup that the Flying Eagles can score 5 goals against, even Brazil.

I will repeat again: stop underestimating the attacking prowress of this Flying Eagles' team.

im glad u have respect for ur elders so u should know with age comes knowledge now listen carefully, i never said we are not good enough honestly im doubting if you are even reading what i write or u just scheme through it. Where in any of my comments have i ever said we are not such a good team. it seems like you are the only one with such thoughts and i beg u don't associate that with me a again because as a green blooded Nigerian i take such accusations personally. Don't make yourself seem like a super fan at other people's expense.
It's alright. I understand. With old age comes knowledge. Also, with old age comes forgetfulness. So read your comments again. Then read my responses. You said that for those teams to have been beaten 5-2 and 5-0, it means they are not good enough, hence my response by saying this is not the first time these golden boys are doing it.

Scoring high is their forte. Demolishing and dismantling defences is their strength.

Next time, dont underestimate what these boys can do regardless of the opposition.

Old man, that's because you assume that the Flying Eagles are not such a good team to demolish teams 5-2, 5-1, 4-1. And then I laugh! What's the scoreline between the U17 and Mexico in UAE 2013 in the group stage? What's the scoreine against Iraq in the same competition? What about Iran? What about Sweden in the KnockOut stage? What about Mexico in the final?

Forget, this team will make teams go down low in New Zealand.

Why is MG playing guys that have already been dropped? I was thinking this is a time to gel guys that are already on the train to New Zealand. I can see Muazam and Saleh on the scoresheet.

How many of that 5 played in the matches?
How will they play when they are with the German U20 preparing for the World Cup? You're missing his point. If they have as many as 5 players picked from the team, then the team is not that bad. It simply means that our team is better and more compact.

How I wish we can get this kind of brilliant assessment and selection from Keshi.

TheGoodJoe:

I agree with you in a way on your selection problem with Coach Keshi.

How the hell did Coach Keshi allow us endure torturing games with Echiejile on the left back when Oshaniwa and Benjamin Francis are clearly better.

In one of the qualifiers, he brought back an unfit Echiejile that cost us a game before he made Oshaniwa permanent and the results changed.

I hope Coach Keshi does not make these kind of silly errors.

safarigirl, sorry O!!! This is the last Coach Keshi talk for now. LOL.
Great! The thing don dey clear for your eyes small small. With time, Keshi juju no go work on you again. I used to be a fierce Keshi advocate. No more. A more sentimental coach, I have not seen.

My comment on Keshi's list: I'm baffled. Some names just seem wrong on that list. Kwambe that has just played a match this season and has just come back from injury? Egbeta, Okonkwo? Na wa o. Keshi still never change. Horrible selections again! *sighs*

He has really worked hard to inherit excellent boys ....he's also good at nurturing talents .these guys are lucky to be in good hands . If Keshi remains d super eagles coach he will have a longer enjoyment than any of the 2coaches . Continuity will give us the senior World Cup someday .
Keshi? I dont trust Keshi one bit.

simply because yu ve not seen sokari in action... even super eagle cant boast of a better player in his position.. not even mikel slowby..
Dont mind the guy. Sokari is a fantastic player. I'm actually not doubting his age. he was picked off the streets by Enyimba and he walked straight into the team.

He was the one who made Enyimba ticked and ensured that guy (what's his name again) ended up as the highest goal scorer. I personally like Matthew but say what, Sokari will make him sweat.
