E get any establishment for Nigeria wey get reliable record? Once the dûmmmies in civil service can't find your record they ask you to start all over again.

The hospital of course. I tried snapping my medical record one day because I wanted to complain to my HMO about the drugs I was given, hospital said my HMO doesn't cover the drugs and gave me an alternative. If you see the speed at which the nurse snatched the record from my hands and even reported me to their medical director. I went to the MD to explain and he was like, their policy doesn't allow patients to go with their information. As how now😡
No, in a structured environment with data protection law, you own your record and the hospital has the right to store, read and write on your record, so they are custodian of the data.

You have the right to request for your record/data. In a develop country there are many policies in place for that including SAR (Subject Access Request).

Some countries even have apps to manage your medical record. (make appointments, record medical activities, etc)

Sometimes they might and can restrict what you can have access to on your record. It is more of like a protection. Imagine someone having access to your most sensitive medical records due to your own carelessness or you got hacked.

And when the French authorities took it literally by slashing the boats before they left for the waters, the same bits were complaining about human rights, makes you wonder what they want. They prefer legal migration to be cut... people that work and pay tax o, do they think people would leave high paying jobs to be claiming benefits. How dem wan take survive? Now their school fees are going to be raised again due to low international students enrolment 🫣
The elites and the politicians know what they are doing. They don't want to be held responsible for bad decisions and failing infrastructures. So they pitch their people against the immigrants.

Initially, they said the immigrants are the ones taking your jobs, so their folks just relaxed and start claiming benefits.
Now the system is chocked.

Now, it is the immigrant that are taking the benefits. When it's written on their documents that they cannot have access to public fund.

It just baffles me how these politicians attack legal migrants and ignore the illegals one.

Illegal migrants dey enjoy pass legal ones.

That's how it should be normally, but some airlines plying that route can be very erratic. I once needed a passport to book either on Ryanair or Easyjet (cant remember which one again).

See a related case below; they made the family pay almost 500 pounds, unexpectedly.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/2066562/ryanair-refused-let-us-board-flight-from-london-charged-us-490

@ Vision202 boarding requirements seem to vary across airlines. There may be some that don't require a passport.
If you read the story well, they were trying to fly from London(UK, England ) to Dublin (Europe, Ireland) and take a bus back to Belfast (UK, Northern Ireland). Definitely you will need a visa or Irish passport.

But if it's London directly to Belfast, you only need a proper ID with an expiry date, because it's still within UK

Northern Ireland is UK, Ireland is Europe, even though they share Border, you might even drive from N.I through Ireland without even knowing.

You also qualify for a scholarship of 3500 of given the offer
Please can you give name of school and course, also will it allow dependant.

Thanks so much.

Morning guys, my cousin got an unconditional offer for MRes Clinical Research at Tesside University.

I have read here that some Mres courses don't allow dependant still. So, I called the school to confirm if the MRes course would allow dependant, but the lady that spoke to me said no (she sounded unsure).

I asked her to give me list of their courses that allow dependants, and she listed PhD and DBA courses only, no Mres.

I would like to know if anyone also applied to the school (not necessarily the same course) or if there's any MRes program someone with a Biomedical degree can do in any school that allows dependants.

Thanks.

In shape contrast, people of all ages and even people with disabilities are gainfully employed here in England.

I even know blind and visually impaired people who go to work using canes as they walk, gainfully employed.

Retirees are even begged to return to work, with many opting for part-time jobs.

But in Nigeria, job adverts have age restrictions. That will be considered discriminatory here.
If you ever get turned down for a job because of age in the UK, you can sue the company, it's just free money for you and many lawyers would be happy to take a case like that.

It is only in 9ja that everything is upside down. To even get called for interview, you go need connect.

When you move out of Nigeria, everything about 9ja go just dey vex you.

All we know is money money, no regard for rule of law. That's why an employer can decide to owe you months of wages and no consequences.

I never hear people striking becuase of unpaid wages or salary in the UK, the strike is always about better pay or better working environment and conditions.
Every Thursday, your money is already waiting in your account, or every last Wednesday of the month, if you earn monthly.

Let me stop here because this post just triggered me.

Good afternoon guys, I would like to know if the annual salary threshold for every job is £38,700

If yes, does it mean one would not be able to get sponsorship from any company including the NHS?

Or does the salary threshold depends on the family size because I have seen quite a few people say they got sponsorship that won’t cover their family

I really do not under…someone should please explain.

Getting a job with annual salary of £38,7000 isn’t easy especially for us with no experience as someone who has no experience working in Nigeria and manage to get experience working in care 20hrs per week while studying.

A lot of people from my set (September 2023) are so confused. After study it’s postgraduate visa, and after postgraduate visa is now to redo another postgraduate degree or further to PhD because the threshold £38,700 is somewhat difficult to achieve?

A Filipino woman told me the threshold of £38,700 is a must on every visa one is switching to even if it’s ILR

Would someone explain what’s going on in this country? I know a lot of people in depression now some even have 3-4 kids.

What’s happening in UK?

Thank you
There is something called skilled worker visa going rate.

First you need to know what's the occupation code for your targeted job, then go to UK dot gov to check the standard going rate, that is the minimum you must earn to be eligible for sponsorship in the role.

A role might be one that can offer sponsorship but if the offered salary is lower than the standard going rate, then it becomes ineligible for sponsorship. Different role with different standard going rate.

There's a lower going rate for some certain role, also based on the date the COS was issued

For example Data analyst has occupation code of 3544, with standard going rate of £33,200/y and £28,600 for lower going rate. So you must earn equal or above £33,200 to be eligible for sponsorship, but if you got the COS before 4th April 2024,then you go with the lower going rate.

COS gotten before 4th April 2024 => lower going rate
After 4th April 2024 => standard going rate.

Hi I just need advice on my driving lessons.

I thought I could have started driving lessons this month, unfortunately I failed my hazard perception and I seriously want to start learning as a beginner. I called an instructor yesterday, the instructor adviced that I can learn driving without the theory test, then when I finish learning I do the theory, then practical test . Is this a good advice?

Secondly he is charging me £80 for two hours. Then if I am doing block booking for 10 lessons is £780 . pls is this a good deal? He said I can pay half to secure the appointment bc a lot of people are booking. Please is this okay? any questions to ask him? Someone recommended him. Thank you.
This advice I want to give works best if you have been driving in Nigeria before getting here, and also based on my experience.

I used tiktok to pass both my theory and practical exams. Search for "theory test practice by Annie Winterburn" on Tiktok, the woman expalains everything about theory test, her teaching is about understanding the rules and not cramming, so you get to know what part of your driving knowledge a question is testing and easily you'd provide the answer even if you haven't seen the question before. Also, she has a course about pass the theory test, I'd recommend you buy it, not expensive.

After going through her videos for like 30 mins, then go and practice on the test app, and you would some improvement in you.

Whatever you have learnt from the theory also translate to practical, in terms of rules of driving like speed limits, hazard perception and all.

So you can a get a friend that is licenced and can add you to their insurance (if you don't have yours) let them observe you as you practise what you have learnt, then they can point out your mistakes, then go online again to see solution to the mistakes. Practice when the traffic is light, usually between 10 to 3pm and 7pm above.
Also practise with Google maps, to help you understand road markings more, and how google gives instructions, Google can say: use the left two lanes to turn left on the A56 road.

For practical test, search for Jason_horsfield on Tiktok, he makes videos about passing the practical test. Also on practical test day, you have to be vocal, and exaggerate your actions a bit, like say actions you are performing.

For example, if you are doing moving off safely, before you moving and you're doing checking, say something like: "checking if my surrounding is safe before I moving off, checking my mirrors, now signal bla bla bla..." while also ensuring your head movement is noticeable.

Use this link to see how you are going to be assessed for the practical test: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/publications/guidance-and-explanation-your-driving-test-report

If you know how to move a car, I don't think you need to pay an instructor for anything again, you can just go online and learn the rules that guide the movement of car in the UK, that's my opinion.

All the best.

💯 agree.
It was all this scare mongering that made me overthink the test with my many years of driving in Nigeria.
The UK driving test is so basic, it’s beggar’s belief the hype around it (maybe if you’re new driver without prior experience in moving a car). I did mine just once (manual test with only one minor).

With the plethora of information online in 2024 (YouTube & TikTok especially), plus 3 sessions with driving instructor and endless practice on my own (one intl driving licence), there’s really no excuse to throw away money more than two times (maximum).
I don't want to say we like spreading fear, but again, I don't know want to call it.
I did my theory test 3 times and practical test 2 times.

The 2 times I did the theory test I approached it with fear(as everyone dey shout it is hard) and ignorance becuase I was cramming the questions and I mostly failed due to hazard perception, until I watched one woman on Tiktok. She explained everything about the theory test, she explained the logic or lesson behind every questions, and once you understand the logic, then you can answer any question. I wrote the exam again and passed.
So I continue to apply those lessons to my driving.

I failed my first practical driving because I overtook another car, and I did 47 or 48mph, so I have gone beyond the speed limit for a learn and that's a massive mistake, automatically it's a failure, though the examiner allowed me to continue the driving, and pointed out my other mistake of not moving off savely. When the result came in, I looked at it, went to DVLA website to see what everything mean, and the max point I could have to pass the exam. Practice everything, and I passed the second time with 6 points error.

UK is about information, but you have to be sure you have the right one, and also make your own research, because many people just walk around with "wonni wonpe" (hearsay).

Hey Reshee,

I'm here to give you a feedback on this.

I applied, and I and my dependant have been refunded for 6 months.

I first apllied towards the end of July, but they requested I submit my official offer letter, because the one I submitted was provisional. I got the official offer letter from my line manager, I resubmitted it, but no response from them.

Two days ago, I started the whole process again, submitted the necessary documents and also match the date range claimed to the payslip I submitted. I got a mail yesterday that it had been approved and I will have to wait up to 6 week to get refunded.

I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw was the alert. 🤑🤑

Thanks for the encouragement.

Congratulations.

Search propertypaldotcom, search for house is BELFAST or Lisburn, if your workplace is in Lisburn, you can look for apartment in and around BT8 to BT9. House is really tough to get in Belfast and tougher if you don't have a guarantor. If you can pay 6 months rent upfront, some agents might consider you.

You can also check Gumtree, zoopla and rentola.

You will need a permanent place to setup a bank account, so ask your employer to give you some time to sort accommodation, because you need to attend viewing if you show any interest in any apartment.

Also try to rapport with house agents if you go for viewings, let them know your predicament, and if possible they can hook you up with private landlords.

All the best.

I plan to be in the country this thursday 11th April to obtain my brp and generate my share code .

Hi, I need a candid advise. I am an international student and would be starting my internship in January 2024, I also would be starting a AWS course this January. I want to buy a laptop, I budgeted £450 pounds for a solid brand new laptop (hp). Been searching online tho, but someone advised I go for a refurbished MacBook on back market or other sites, that it would be better because I would find something great with my budget. What do you guys thinkhuh And you can drop any site one can find great quality refurbished laptops in uk
Go on eBay, search for your laptop of choice and spec, under filter, choose open never used you should see good deals there.

I didn't have a good experience with refurb laptop, so I don't recommend it, even with excellent refurb, one key wasn't working, I bought it for my wife, she didn't see a reason to report to me since there's an alternate key that serve the same purpose (shift key).

But with open never used, I got a laptop worth £750 at £449, ASUS TUF Gaming F15, Core i5 11th gen, 512GB SSD, 8gb RAM , 4gb Nvidia Geforce RTX 2050, 2023 model. I just recently added 16GB RAM.

Just be careful, because refurb can also be listed as "open never used", check the rating of the seller, and reviews, check item description, and try and see the reason why the person is selling, also if it has any defect.

I don't think police clearance cert will work here, because the document issued by Northern Ireland (NI) to check your criminal record in the UK. So approach the company for guidelines, also during registration, you will need to input a code, which is the personal code of the company asking for the ACCESSNI cert.
Sometimes, some company gives the code for free, and some will require you pay £33 to get it.

If you don't understand, approaching the company is your best option.

I am not pained. What pains me is how a club oiled by Arab money can't aspire for great things.

A club sitting on millions dieing for local trophies.

Man city under Guardiola will never be like their closest neighbour, United.

Until they sack Guardiola, City Wil never smell UCL tithes
City doesn't care, and they have been spending money before Pep came around, splashed money on Balotelli, Robinho, Adebayor, Nasri, Teves, How many league and UCL did they win, how many ucl final did they reach?

It's very painful that Pep has turned EPL to farmer's league. Last season around Dec he was in 9th or 10th Position, they called him all sort of name, he won 22 games and the league was over, now he don win am again.

City brought him to turn their expensive team to an elite team, one that can have a say in Europe and they are getting there gradually.

As of today, if we talking about UCL contenders, can we count United as part of them? And definitely you can't leave out Man city

As for United that you're talking about, what you see today is what SAF built for 26 years, imagine, just 2 ucl, so if Pep could stay that long, then Man United will be nothing beside City.

It took SAF 6 years to win his first EPL and 12 years to win ucl, and Pep only took 1 year and got to final after 5 years. And since has joined City, he has not finished the table below 3rd position.

As for the money, SAF & Man United too spent heavily.
Imagine paying as much as €46m for a defender 21years ago, imagine how much that is now, let imagine 3x that's 138m, Pep hasn't bought a player above100m.

If you look at the net spending of city and United, Mancity has justified their spending. Can we say the same for the other team?

Pep is the best when it comes to modern football.

Just enjoying his good football, it's for the body and soul.

It was obvious the silva wanted to dive, why xhaka was pulling him back is what i can't fathom, another mystery is how did var officials + referee missed silva intention
Most people are seeing this from emotional point of view. I know it's not easy because Pep is turning the league to a farmer's league.

There are many tactics managers use to win games, and asking their players to dive, or exaggerate fouls to win set pieces are part of his tactics, though not very obvious. I have noticed that since Barcelona days, Pep has been using this tactics, his wingers, and midfielders dives and exaggerate fouls.

Xhaka fouled Silva but it was minimal and could be over looked, but Silva dived, and as he was going down Xhaka tried to pull him up(by pulling his shirt which looks like an obstruction). As an acclaimed experience player, you don't do that, because the rule is the rule. He should have allowed the simulation to complete and VAR review it.

A defender can't say because a winger was in an offside position when he received a pass, you as the defender will now use your hand to catch the ball as it was crossed, because you believe the winger was in an offside position.

Oga if injury hit em squad you go talk otherwise. Manchester city is not taking the league i can bet my balls on it
Epl fans are just too sentimental about Pep because he's turning their fav league to vegetable farmers' league.

You're talking of injury, why did you think Liverpool won the league. That season (2019/2020) Vincent Kompany has left the team.
The defenders in the team were Laporte, Mendy, Otamendi, Stones, Walker, Danilo. 75% of this people got injured including Laporte, in the team no natural 5&6, Pep had to used Rodri and Fernandiho in those two positions, Rodri got injured also, that's when Pep tried Zinchenko as a LB, and he fit in.

With all that injury problem, he was comfortably in the second position, no fear of if he was gonna miss out of UCL. Diaz was later brought in January.
In all Pep's EPL career has never finished 4th.

Liverpool got their own injury crisis last season, they almost missed out the UCL spot, but I still respect Klopp for qualifying despite the odds.

Let Tuchel face the same crisis and manage it well, that when he can come out has a great tactician or manager. If it's by number of UCL, that means Zinedine Zidane is greater than all of the coaches including SAF.

And for the money part, when people know you're rich, they will always inflate price of goods for you.
Even the almighty SAF bought a defender for €43m almost 10 yrs ago, you know how much is that now.

If Pep wasn't good, with all those money he won't even have lifted a spoon, OGS had a start studded team, what did he win?
