Jonathan didn't respect the arrangement of going for a single tenure and you saw the price he paid. The death of Yaradua scuttled the zoning system which would have seen a south east president in 2015. PDP has ruled for 16 years with North taking just 3 years. It is only reasonable and in line with the gentleman agreement in PDP for the presidency to go back to the north. SE must be patient while as we take the Vp slot and pray that PDP which is the safest party for us to win. No hope for us as in APC and that is why we must stick with PDP. Politics no be girigiri and neither is it 2+2. It is a game which is affected by many factors and patience is one. Traditionally, the SE doesn't vote Against the ruling party at the Presidential elections. 2015 was a miscalculation because they thought Goodluck was going to win.

In 1999, they betrayed Ekwueme at the PDP primaries and voted Obasanjo at the elections.

In 2003, they betrayed Ojukwu who contested under APGA and voted for Obasanjo of PDP.

In 2007, they betrayed Orji Uzor Kalu of PPA and voted Yar'Adua of PDP.

In 2011, they voted Goodluck under PDP instead of Osita Okechukwu.

In 2015, they voted GEJ again, but he lost.

Opposition politics is new to the SE and they can NEVER survive it. One reason is that the SE hasn't had a central rallying force since the time of Ikemba. The present leaders are just fraudsters, thieves and crooks.

The SE votes are very inconsequential simply because they are predictable. Buy the leaders and the people vote as usual. That is what the present PDP leadership is rubbing in the faces of the PDP members at the national level.

Mark this post, by 2019, the SE would vote massively for the APC even if it is an Hausa goat not even human being that is contesting.

Unfortunately you lack common sense to say such trash about the people of SE. PDP is the party that is more national and has given the south east a sense of belonging. Ojukwu didn't contest election to win but to reposition APGA. An average Igbo man knew that Ojukwu can't win an election in Nigeria and don't ask me why. Igbos are well rooted in PDP when it comes to presidential elections. You can't say such in other elections as we have seen an incumbent PDP governor lose election in Imo state. PPA and APGA have also won elections in the south east. All the names you mentioned contested with PDP ticket. Igbos do not forget easily, go and ask Ngige why he lost. Hopefully PDP win zone the VP slot to SE and you will test our resolve. The truth is that Igbos can never be comfortable with Buhari or any party that promotes islam above Christianity. You can't go to Enugu state and condemn PDP, even though Amaechi has left PDP, you can't say he didn't try. You can't say Akpabio didn't try. You can't say Yaradua in his short term didn't try. Elrufai was a strong tool in PDP. Late Dora Akunyili did wonders in NAFDAC. The coming of APC gave me joy but their divisive nature is not healthy for Nigeria. We need someone like Yaradua who is educated, visionary, incorruptible, humble and carries everyone along.

I argue with facts and to be fair and honest, SE has benefited in the PDP arrangement. The gentleman agreement was for power to rotate between north and south. That is why OBJ emerged. The zoning was to favour an Igbo president in 2015. The death of yaradua killed that and GEJ was lucky.

I have said it many times, Spain is the home of football in Europe. That is where the best game is played. English league can only boast of cash and publicity and nothing more. Very boring game.
