It has to be to the landlord's account. I think i got really lucky for the form A processing. Most banks are not accepting private accomodation

Edgehill L7 Liverpool. This is the cheapest i have seen so far with months of research. Believe me, everything is available here. I mean All Bills inclusive of the rent. 10mins walk to knowledge quarters for my lectures.

I also attached remittance/telex for tuition balance processed earlier.

Booking PCR tests with testingforall.org has been ok with me so far.

I landed UK on the 12th, got to my apartment by midnight. On the 13th, by 12, i received my day 2 and day 8 kits. I followed the instructions and took the self swab. I returned it immediately by dropping it in a royal mail box around me (it's free, just drop it in and go).

On the 14th, the next day, i received my day 2 result via email.

Update on private accomodation payment via Form A.

I am thankful my landlord accepted that i quarantine in my accommodation without deposit and without payment yet. I only assured him that international transfers through the bank takes time. He agreed with me on that. Meanwhile i escalated my application for private accomodation with Gtbank on the 9th of September before travelling.


Fresh documents were requested from headquarters lagos, i submitted at area 11 Abuja (someone helped me fill the form actually).

To quickly conclude, i have been sent my telex. 44weeks contract of 2672GBP paid via form A for 1.5m approx.

I was rejected application for private accomodation by numerous banks. It came through finally. If you wish to follow this path, you must get all documents ready. Had to forward my signed contracts on request.

Well, i won't call it success yet ooo. But the update on my case is, i submitted all required document and the accomodation invoice at Gtbank area 11. A debit has not occured yet (almost four days now), but the exact amount in naira has been moved to my book balance. Meaning the money is not available for me to spend.

I called Gtbank why the transaction is delaying, i was told i would be responded to via email. If you are wondering, my application was for a private accomodation. I am hoping for them to quickly act up on it or revert the money so that i would pay directly (without form A) since i would be travelling shortly, and need to quarantine at the accomodation.

Because the greedy Lagos state government took over the test to make extra money. So you get redirected to the recognised Lagos centres after filling the form on that same platform. That is why outside Lagos, the test is 39,500 while in Lagos it's 52,000 or thereabout!

Looking for recommendation. Where can i book a test in Lagos (Ikeja would be fine) and get the result the same day or the next?

I would like someone that has actually done this to recommend one for me with a barcode on the test results. Yes! I have a list of accredited centres in lagos but I can't call all of them to start asking price and what the results look like.

I was given a tracking number which i used go track the progress on DHL's website. In few days, you will sure get. Call from an agent to come pick your passport.

Do not bother going to pick it up. Since it says collected by applicant, this translates to mean collected by DHL dispatch agent.

You wouldn't get your passport if you go to pick up.

Ask your school to give you payment invoice, then use the invoivce to go to any bank and pay using FORM A. invoice from school is always the best and it comes in pounds direct to school account.

This would have been the best. Unfortunately, not all schools give out invoice. I think the applicant should request for the invoice and if not given, he/she can go ahead with the generated invoice.

Invoices can now be generated online on most schools' website. Mostly for international students. The biggest challenge with this method is you are given three days for your bank to act on the payment advice.

Hello everyone, I need advice urgently, so I and a friend wants to pay her school fees via bank transfer through form A and she is not sure if we did the right thing. We printed out the quote from Nottingham trent uni payment page, it says we are paying 4,255 USD to bank of New York to a beneficiary in London. But her agent is telling her she's supposed to pay in GBP and not USD. I feel the agent is one bringing up this confusion, because the money is leaving here in Naira, being received over there in dollars. Please kindly help out, advise if we are on the right track with this payment.

Look for "at your local bank", select Nigeria and you will list of acct numbers you can pay into. All belonging to qatar airways.

24th August= picked up form A and submitted same day
27th August= Got debited the equivalent
31st August= received payment receipt.

You can use any bank. Only those that have used access can advise on their rate. I used Gtb, at a rate of 573 per pounds. I was debited extra 6000 naira later for VAT and commission.

My cousin did use form A from UBA (whenever they had funds) but he said this application for September rent was rejected. The bank said it was an updated policy because many were round tripping funds through landlords/letting agents.

I have searched online for CBN or any banks report on this claim but nothing.......

Will call the banks I intend using then give a feedback.

That limit is on naira card. dollar cards give u more access to ur funds.

I was frustrated by the tracking at some point. I just relaxed since there is an estimated date. The back and forth was unexplainable.

Yes. According to Gtbank. Using your mastercard. Pay attention to the card type.

They would dispatch to centres close to you before finally bringing down to your main area.

My route was lagos, lagos collection, abuja, delta, abuja again then benin. They alone know the dispatch modalities. Maybe flight and road combined. Remember your parcel cannot be dispatched alone, they would join with others in your route.

Haha. Enough waiting time. Use the tracking number to track on DHL website. You would see the estimated day of delivery. You would unfailingly get it on that day....or maybe before.

Lols. Lagos to Edo dispatch via DHL. Four freaking days man. Day 1 was dispatched day. Day five was collection day. I collected as soon as i was called upon.

That's what i used. If you can input the value in dollars and you can select naira on the next tab, it should work. If it doesn't, try a new browser and use a laptop. Everyday before booking, the converter worked for me.

I heard that not all banks will give an individual FORM A to make any payments other than Tuition fees..
Please, how true is this?, and what banks wil allow one use FORM A to make other payments?

I am having similar problems. I paid for my tuition balance at Gtbank kaduna. The bank rejected payment for accommodation. I wrote headquarters, they said it would work provided i am paying both alongside or have evidence of tuition payment previously. Lagos branch Ikeja rejected, Abuja branch rejected, Edo branch (one of them) rejected.

This may mean that a limitation has been placed. Black market my last option.

Please, does anyone know how long it takes TLScontact to dispatch passport after they sent decision and collection emails? I have been checking the DHL tracking number they issued to me on my biometrics day since 1pm the 2 mails came (they came 1 minute apart) but the info on DHL platform said they are yet to receive it till now.

This depends on your location. It took four days to dispatch from lagos to Edo state.

A. Open a dorm acct with any bank of your choice. Get a dollar card, fund your account with dollar or pounds. You can use your mastercard abroad to withdraw funds. Take note of withdrawal limit and charges on ATMs abroad.

B. You can reserve some money in your bank account, you can also convert your naira to pounds before travelling. Remember to declare the cash you have at hand. I think there is an amount you must declare. Read about money to declare on UKVI website.

I think you can only have access to dollar card. I haven't heard of pounds card. When you get the dollar card, you can fund it with dollars and make transactions with it. This means you can use it to pay for services in pounds, euro and most foreign currencies.

This is as far as i know.

Who has tried using Western Union Global student pay for tuition/tuition deposit payment.

They give a payment reference that is supposed to expire 72hours after it was generated.

My issue is, after the reference was generated, I applied for form A the same day with it and the money was debited in my account the following day(Friday) but Western union say they are yet to receive money after I tried tracking the payment and the payment reference expired on sunday.

I really wouldn't want a case where the money paid hangs. Can someone share their experience with payment through this route ?

Well, i generated an invoice too but when i saw a three day timeline and knowing nigerian banks would fail me, i instead used the tuition invoice supplied by my school.

If you have no invoice given, then you don't have to worry, your money would either be paid or refunded to you. The three day timeline is to allow for fluctuations in FX. A timeline more than that may result to their loss.

Don't worry. You will be fine. Keep tracking.
