so my DS suddenly developed this horrible looking diaper rashes cos he had a few episodes of running stomach and since im at work during the day im not exactly sure his caregivers checked his diapers as often as i asked them to.

these rashes are ugly i tell u and in my desperation i used WHITE VINEGAR to rub his bitss, like 2-3 times in the day, i guess it hurt him a little or so cos he screamed a bit and then stopped (i felt extremely guilty), suprisingly the rashes started to dry up after a few hours and before the next day it was completely dry and out. His butt is now as fresh as new....(lol).

PS: im making this confession here cos i cant tell it to my DH (he will strangle me) lol.

Hello beautiful mothers.. Gudevening to u all. I'm new here, just discovered this forum... God bless u all for the love and concern u have for each others wellbeing and that of our precious little ones.

Pls I Hv an issue that had been giving me concern. I pit to bed a little over a week ago to my beautiful daughter. She was constantly checked by different doctors for jaundice ( she is very fair), and each one always said I was lucky she didn't hv it... She was discharged even before me... To my surprise on the day I was to be discharged( 3 days ago) another doctor came and checked her out and within secs said my baby had jaundice. I almost fainted.. He asked for a buliburum test to be carried out and it came out 10 mg... He demanded for a second one the following day and it was still d same.. He discharged us and said it wasn't much, and to come back in 2 weeks time. He also said I should take her out in the sun every day. She has a bit of yellow coloring in her eyes which breaks my heart. are there any home remedies that i can use on her before the 2 weeks appointment, cos its just too long for me.. Some family and friends have suggested unripe pawpaw water, glucose water, coconut water, but am not very sure abouut those. Pls mothers helppp!!!!..
Just to add, she sucks very well, infact round the clock, she poos well and have not had any rise in temperature..

My son had a very high bilirubin level of abt 18.5 and after two days of phototherapy it came down to 14.5, we were discharged and guess what my mum in law used to clear d nonsense? Unripe paw paw water......my dear it works wonders I guarantee that.

Don't know abt early morning sun in dis rainy season sha but trust me jaundice isn't anything to be worried abt, I'm almost sure that if u run anoda test it wud Av gone down and once it goes down even if it is by 1% den be rest assured dat it's gone.

PS. I did a lot of googling and reading and asking wen my son had it cos I was scared to death, dats how I know all dis

continue massaging with hot water and let your baby continue to nurse that breast. azin continuously. the breast needs to be drained. (still alternate with the 2nd breast but treat this one as priority)

then dont sleep on your chest. sometimes it causes it. and check if your bra has wire and remove it. then make sure your bra isn't tight. if possible especially if you stay at home, go bra-less. .
then as baby sucks massage the lump too.

I dont think food poisoning can cause fever, he might be teething. Also try the using wet rag to bring the temperature down between doses of pcm.
The poop may be as a result of a change in diet. As long as it isnt runny or with mucus/ blood, I dont think you should be worried.

Zobo leaf is d dried hibiscus leaf which is considered relatively safe. Some said it helps wit milk production

So we hear but I don't think its true..my MIL kept going on about it after my second son. Was having a bath and the famous hot water massage from her then she said to massage the vajayjay...maybe I was too slow or she could see I had *that look* on my face next thing she grabbed the towel and stuck her hand in my *you know what*...

Pls all preggy mama 's let's watch wat we ingest, try to avoid stuff like lime, potash, lipton etc. I practically stayed away from African salad (abacha) thru out my preggy days cos of the potash they use in making it.

its normal if solely on breastfeeding. but hope he has poo since birth cos he/she has to pass out meconium from d system. it can take 8, 10 or 15 days to fall off but make sure u always clean it as directed from d hospital to avoid infection. Congrats on ur newborn.

Dear mama's pls I have an urgent question.. we rushed my son back to the hospital after discovering he had jaundice 18.5 level.
His temperature was abt 38.9 deg.

Now the doctors put him on phototherapy and started treating malaria. Now the test results are out and we found he doesn't have any trace of malaria in his system but the doctors are insisting that he completes d IV dosage (artesunate).... I don't think it's proper, pls experienced mama's help me reason dis cos I can't bear to have dem inject unnecessary drugs into his tender 5 days old system.

Dear mama's, join me in thanking dis glorious God, I just had a cute baby boy via Vaginal delivery , weighing 3.5 kg, after 5hrs of labor and 11 hours after induction started. God is faithful.


From my experience I think d Chkin of dilation actually hurts more than contractions.
Pls don't forget to pray for the medical team dat will attend to u, I did and God gave me d best, imagine my doctor praying seriously while disciplining me, he. Was stern and prayerful.


I had a little tear even after dilating fully, but it's worth it.

Have faith my sisters for SUPERNATURAL DELIVERY is very possible. Wish u all d easiest delivery ever, and for ATC mums I'm officially declaring u all fertile in Jesus Name.

I have a question. Why do people look at pregnant mother's with one eye sometimes , or am I the only one noticing that some people tend to look at pregnant mother's with a funny eye, some can't even look you in the face.

I thought I was d only one oo, was beginning to think there is sth weird abt me besides d ugliness or maybe my tummy looked funny. Even my colleagues at work, to the extent that some greet me with dis look of pity abi na fear sef in their eyes. It's well... this too shall pass
