The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Oshodi/Isolo local government, Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof has officially presented his vice to the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers( NURTW) in Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo.

Almaroof presented Modupe Badmus to Oluomo during his visit to the union leader’s house.

Recall that MC Oluomo was instrumental to Almaroof’s victory at the May 29 party primaries.

Almaroof, a former husband of Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, told MC Oluomo he was pleased with Badmus’s choice as his vice.

Almaroof was prevailed upon to pick Badmus after he won the party’s ticket.

He had initially picked another women, Rasheeda Agbabiaka as his running mate in the run-up to the primaries.

If Almaroof wins the July 24 local government election, Badmus will be the first woman to occupy the seat of the vice chairman of Oshodi/Isolo since the country transited from military rule to democratic rule in 1999.

Youth groups in Igangan community in Ibarapa area of Oyo State have commenced a 7-day operation to flush out killer herders in forests and villages in the area.

The move was necessitated by last Saturday’s attack on the community by gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen .

At a meeting of the youths shortly after the attack, it was agreed that the youths should enter the forests to flush out killer herdsmen in the area and its environs.

The youths, since the operation started on Monday have dislodged the herdsmen from all the forests in the area

Buildings and makeshift tents used by the herdsmen were destroyed and burnt during the operation.

A Fulani man has been found dead at a forest in Igangan in a reprisal attack following the killing of 15 people by Fulani herdsmen three days ago.

The incident occurred on Monday after some members of the community were combing the forest in search of the killer herdsmen that attacked the community on Saturday night.

The victim, who was neither a cattle rearer nor trader, was said to have been living in Igangan since 60s.

It was gathered that the victim had tried to escape the wrath of the angry members of the community, but to no avail.

Zambia based Nigerian Prophet, Prophet Seer1 has condemned leading spiritual fathers in Nigeria for failing to utter words of solidarity and love about the late founder of the Synagogue of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua.

Prophet Seer1, who is the founder of Christ Freedom Ministries (CFM), in a post on his Facebook page ,described the attitude of the spiritual fathers as unbecoming of men of God.

Popular Ghanaian pastor, Prophet Nigel Gaisie of Prophetic Hill Chapel has told Nigerians to stop mourning the death of Pastor TB Joshua because they were the ones that killed him.

Reacting to the death of Joshua, Prophet Gaisie, who rose to fame after correctly predicting the imminent death of a popular dance hall artist, Ebony, said Nigerians used their tongues to kill him by describing him as fake.

Some local hunters on Monday invaded the camp of Fulani herdsmen in Iraye community in Sagamu local government area of Ogun State.

Iraye community is located just behind the NNPC filling Station in Mosimi.

During the invasion, houses and properties belonging to the herdsmen were burnt

It was learnt that the hunters with the support of some vigilante groups struck after intelligence reports that the herdsmen were planning to launch an attack on the community.

A day before the invasion, our correspondent gathered that a woman was abducted by the herdsmen after she complained to the herdsmen that their cows had destroyed her crops.

During the invasion, two of the herdsmen were captured and were almost being killed before policemen arrived the scene to rescue them.

It was further gathered that herdsmen had already relocated their wives and cows to another location preparatory to their planned attack on the community.

The burnt body of Samuel Uzo Okoro, the Personal Assistant to Ifeanyi Ejiofor has been discovered.

The burnt body of Okoro, also known as Biggy, was found inside Ejiofor’s burnt car on Monday.

Ejiofor is the lawyer to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Recall that some soldiers had on Sunday invaded the house of Ejiofor.

The soldiers were said to have shot dead Okoro and put his corpse in the boot of a vehicle belonging to the lawyer and took them away.

Four of the lawyer’s relatives were also abducted by the military men.

The corpse and the car were said to have been set on fire by the soldiers some kilometers away from Ejiofor’s house.

On Monday, a member of IPOB discovered the burnt car and the charred body of Okoro inside the car.

Popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho on Monday visited Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state, a day after the town was attacked by Fulani herdsmen.

Igboho was in the town to access the level of damage in yesterday’s attack.

During the visit, Igboho also tried to comb the forest in search of the herdsmen.

He was, however, prevented from entering the forest by a team of fully armed soldiers, who were trailing his convoy immediately they arrived the town.

The late founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Joshua had acquired several hectares of land to build a university before he died.

The massive land is said to be located in his hometown, Arigidi in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo State.

Though, construction timeline is still yet to be determined, it was learnt that the Prophet was in the process of seeking approval from the National University Commission (NUC).

The dead bodies of some Fulani herdsmen who attacked Igangan, in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the Oyo State are currently at the local government headquarters in Ayete.

The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe on Saturday failed to show up when Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho visited him in his palace.

Igboho was in Ekiti in continuation of his agitation for the creation of Yoruba Nation.

Igboho, who stormed the palace with hundreds of his supporters was told by one of chiefs that Oba Adejugbe was not ready to see him.

A visibly angry Igboho blasted the monarch and left the palace in annoyance.

Earlier, hundred of his supporters had to pulled down the gate of the palace before they gained entrance into the palace.

Big brother Naija’s contestant, Angel is still reeling in shock after he was harassed and attacked by app-cab driver working for Bolt.

The incident took place on Saturday morning in Lagos.

Angel was reportedly taken into the wrong direction by the driver and he refused to pay.

The taxi driver became angry and started punching and slapping Angel on the face and on the mouth multiple times, leaving him with visible black marks on his neck.

The driver later called his co- drivers , who joined him to assault Angel.

Passers by who were at the scene intervened and tried to calm the driver down to stop him from attacking Angel.

Angel was quickly whisked away from the scene and hidden in the bathroom of a shop close to the scene of the incident.

Sources close to Angel said he was still shaken by the incident.

Popular Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, (aka Sunday Igboho) has denied mocking Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God over the sudden death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

Sunday Igboho had in a viral video said he would not greet or sympathize with Adeboye over the demise of Dare because the General Overseer does not support Yoruba nation.

In his words: Has Baba supported Yoruba nation that we will now be greeting him? We don’t need to greet Adeboye. What is my own with that? We are not doing church here. This is not religion.

“Pastor Adeboye didn’t speak about Yoruba nation. Look at the number of crowd in Baba Adeboye’s church. Is he not supposed to tell all of them to join Yoruba nation? We don’t need to greet him.

Igboho's statement generated lots of controversies, with many Nigerians attacking him for his reckless statement.

Igboho on Sunday, however, clarified what he said this during the interview with his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Saturday night.

He stated that his response to a question asked by Koiki that he should to send some words to Adeboye through the l to sympathise with the man of God over the death of his son was misinterpreted.

He noted that his response was not targeted at Pastor Adeboye but all those who does not support Yoruba nation.

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has fired at his antagonists who said he collected money from former Vice President and the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential candiadate in the 21019 elections, Atiku Abukakar to stop his agitation for a Yoruba nation.

The SUV joins his ever-growing automobile collection.

The new wonder-on-wheels set him back by N65 million.

Chairman of the Oshodi/ Isolo local government, Bolaji Muse Ariyoh has reassured residents of the area of their safety before, during and after the forthcoming local government elections in the state.

Ariyoh gave the assurance on Friday in a broadcast to the people of the area.

Ariyoh’s broadcast was in reaction to comments made by the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Alhaji Musliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo.

Oluomo had in a viral video threatened that his boys will attack any local government chairmanship aspirants in the All Progressives Congress that comes out to campaign in the run-up to the party’s primary election.

MC Oluomo has already endorsed Kehinde Oloyede Almarof also known as Kenny Doo as his candidate for the election.

Ariyoh in the broadcast urged all eligible residents of the LG to come out en masse before and during the election to exercise their civic responsibility without fear of violence or molestation.

An unnamed Nigerian billionaire has donated N 1 billion to fund the construction of the 100,000-seater auditorium of the Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun State

The church, also known as Winners Chapel is owned by Bishop David Oyedepo.

The 100,000-seater auditorium known as ‘The Ark.’ is expected to gulp N160 billion.

The good news of the donation was revealed by Oyedepo during the church's Convenant service

The Bishop also revealed that another member of the church donated $1 million to the project.

The groundbreaking ceremony for 100,000-seater auditorium was carried out by Bishop Oyedepo in March 2021.

The Ark is expected to be completed in three years.

Upon completion, the Ark will also accommodate a 24-Floor Mission Tower (International Headquarters Facility) made up of two twin towers of 12 floors each.

A newborn baby is recovering in hospital after being found dumped inside an abandoned pit latrine at Bako village, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The baby, a girl, was spotted by a man who heard her cries around 8:12 pm on Friday when he went to the toilet to answer nature's call.

Later, with the help of other residents and police officers, the girl was rescued.

She was later taken to Wisdom Clinic in Kwali, where the chairman of the council, Danladi Chiya, who got wind of the incident, directed that she should be treated.

Oyedepo spoke on Wednesday during the church's midweek service at Canaan land headquarters of the church in Ota.

Oyedepo during the sermon noted that he doesn't accept gift if the giver's identity is not known

He recalled that some years back, a member of his church bought him a brand new vehicle but the donor refused disclose his identity.

He stated that he only collected the car until his identity was unveiled, noting that another member of the church said he knew the work the donor of the car does.

Oyedepo said : Don't steal to sow. God is not in need.

"It is the fear of God to have your seed acceptable and subsequently rewardable

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide otherwise known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo on Sunday told his church members that he warned them about President Muhammadu Buhari.

Oyedepo said this during the Church's Covenant Day of Divine Protection"

The Bishop was reacting to his criticism of the attack on Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom by a Fulani militia.

Oyedepo had in his condemnation of the attack lambasted the federal government for not arresting the perpetrators of the crime after a group identified as Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM, owned up to the crime.

Oyedepo had said he, ‘smells a rat’ stating that Nigeria is not a Fulani republic and no tribe can ever claim ownership of the country.

Many had descbibed Oyedepo's comments on the attack as unconstitutional.

But Oyedepo in reaction to the criticism on Sunday asked rhetorically whether the killings of people by suspected Fulani herdsmen constitutional.

He wondered why somebody who claimed responsibility for attacking innocent citizen and will still be walking on the streets free.

"That you can sleep in your house and close your eyes.

Somebody was saying that what Papa is saying is unconstitutional. Is the killing of these people constitutional.

Continuing, Oyedepo said he warned the people about the Buhari Presidency.

"But I warned You. I warned you by the Holy Spirit that the nation was making the costliest mistake.

"Now you are facing the music."

Sodiq Ayoola Obasanjo, an indigene of Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State has cried out on alleged threat to his life by one of the children of the evicted Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Ibrahim Saliu Sarki.

Ibrahim’s rage of messages to Ayoola on Facebook read:

“You will soon be displaced too, you think a town can do what you people did and have peace for life? Impossible.”

“We will never forget this, expect yours soon, you must be evicted too by fire by force.”

“Go and tell commissioner of police, you think you people are wise?

“How many people was (sic) kidnapped in Igboora, Eruwa and Oke-Ogun, why those people not accused and attack (sic) their Seriki, you think we will forgive you?”.

Obasanjo, recounting his experience ever since the eviction of Alhaji Abdulkadir Seriki from Igangan, said he and some other residents of the town had been living in palpable tension due to the manner of threats some people from the Fulani extraction issued through text messages and monitored phone calls.

“For the past few months, I have decided not to post or comment on any issue at all because I know what that means”.

“They (Fulanis) have penned down some names to be dealt with as they suspect our role during the struggle”.

“Out of their evil plots, they would call me with strange number and rain curses on me with threats”, Ayoola disclosed.

Obasanjo who had been persistently threatened by Ibrahim Seriki, however, called on the people of the region and the government to come to his rescue.

“My life is in danger, I can no longer sleep with my two eyes closed”.

“These threats are getting to much. I thought they were joking until they migrated from Facebook messages to text messages, now calls with private numbers”.

“This is what I have been living with for the past few months now”, Ayoola lamented.

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide otherwise known as Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo is about to commence the construction his mega church project reported to cost several billions of naira.

100,000 seater capacity stadium like auditorium was designed by students and graduates of the Covenant University

Sitting on about a 1000 hectares of land and located inside the Canan Land , the new gigantic building will be the first of its kind in the whole world.

Aside the auditorium, a 20 storey tower will also be constructed as the headquarters of the church.

Reports say the church has committed an estimated over N100 billion to the project.

Completion period is three years time as work is expected to start soon on the long-awaited megachurch auditorium.

Former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba was captured on camera physically assaulting a man at an All Progressives Congress event recently.

The man, whose name can not be identified was among protesters chanting songs to register their displeasure with the current APC led- government in the state.

In the video, the 81-year-old former governor could been seen pacifying the protesters but they refused to back down from their protest.

Angered by the event, Osoba descended on one of the protesters who he accused of abusing him.

Not even comments from the other protesters that their anger were not targeted at the former governor, could stop him.

In the video, Osoba could be seen dragging the man twice before he finally left him.

He later left the protesters in annoyance.

Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Igboho on Thursday said he will live till 110 years before God can call him home.

Igboho, 48 years, spoke at his Ibadan residence when former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode visited him.

Fani- Kayode said the visit was to appreciate Igboho for defending the Yoruba nation against killer herdsmen.

He urged not to relent or back out until the South-west is liberated.

Responding, Igboho said he was not afraid of death as his father has assured him that he will live up till 110 years before he dies.

Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho has placed curses on those he called desperate politicians who are against the agitation for Oduduwa Republic.

Igboho is who is currently in Germany, spoke on Thursday while while appearing in a programme, “Igbelaruge Asa Yoruba with Dr. Adebayo Fatoki.

He stated that the punishment of God would come upon desperate politicians who are working against the interest of the South-west.

Motorists plying the popular Joju road in Ado-Odo Ota Local government area of Ogun State will soon heave a sigh of relief.

Preparatory work for the reconstruction of 1.3km road began on Wednesday as the contractor handling the project appeared on site.

The step took motorists and residents by surprise because only last week officials of the construction company said preparatory work would start in March.

The road, which links to Lagos and to the inner parts of Ogun State has been in a shameful state for so long.

The Ogun State government had in October 2020 approved the road and 11 others for reconstruction.

Motorists and commuters plying the road have had harrowing experience spending hours trying to wade through the bad road because of its dilapidation. The situation is worse whenever it rained.

Respite has, however, come their way as the contractor was seen on Wednesday moving it equipment and machineries to site.
