Politics › Re: Why Bola Tinubu Is A Curse To Yorubas by leksite120(m): 8:10am On Jul 12, 2022 |
Kennedyli: I hear a lot of people praising Tinubu for raising men. Of course, no one can take that from him. He has made a massive impact in the politics of the southwest and Nigeria as a whole.
The question is whether that impact has been positive or negative. So I'm going to go straight to the point.
If I ask you today who the governor in South West is, who would you choose?
I dont know about you. But most people, even those in the opposition will say "Seyi Makinde."
If you agree to this, then ask yourself what seperates Makinde from the other governors in South West?
The answer is simple: Tinubu.
All the governors Tinubu has "made," all the people he has put in places in the southwest have and are performing poorly from Ondo to Osun, Ogun, Kwara and Lagos.
The reason is however not far-fetched. Tinubu plays politics not for the betterment of the masses, but to amass wealth for himself and his family.
So his mentees, who learnt from him also tailor their politics that same way.
Look at Oyo state. MAKINDE is doing all the things the former governor said were impossible.
Imagine if there were more independent governors like Makinde in the south West. Imagine how much growth the region would have experienced.
Victor Joshua writes at http://locals.com.ng, and he is not Igbo. So if you'll choose a governor for SW , it'll be Makinde? Makinde that just want to finish first term. You're not even talking about Akeredolu or Fayemi, it's now Makinde |

I saw people on Twitter and Instagram abusing them, cursing and calling them names because of supporting Tinubu. For God sake, are these people actually okay? Someone that has supported them hugely in their industry. To be honest, these people don't even know who Peter Obi is apart from the online noise they're hearing about him.
These people are only good at trying to make people feel bad for not supporting their own and people are falling for this crap. Fire God sake , has the so called Peter never ruled a state before? Has the so called Obi never become a vice to a known thief and Fulani.
Please let's stop deceiving ourselves. Goodluck Jonathan look more gentle and innocent than this and he later became a collosal failure. If you believe your candidate is good, support him and not curse others, people (especially the stupid and unstable ones) are now scared of supporting who they believe in because of the fear of being bullied. |

perez100: 1. The 95% votes of South East belong to Peter Obi
2. The 85% votes from South-south belong to Peter Obi.
3. The 65% votes from North Central belong to Peter Obi
4. The 65% votes from Yoruba Christians belong to Peter Obi
5. The 85% vote s of the entire Northern Christians belong to Peter Obi
6. The 15% votes from Yoruba Muslims who believe in voting the best belong to Peter Obi
7. The 20% votes from Northern Muslims who believe in voting the best candidate belong to Peter Obi
The rest of the votes will be shared by Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso.
Peter Obi is the man. Please can u mention the NC states where Obi will get 65% . Cos last time I checked. Kwara(Yoruba Muslims state who doesn't even know who Obi is) or Kogi or Niger(Muslim state) . And if you think you'll get 65% from SW, then you're an epitome of comedy.Apart from Lagos where some Igbos are, he won't even see 10% in SW. |

https://dailynigerian.com/nollywood-produced-movies/
While lagos usually take the first position, it is always by Abuja or Onitsha that comes second. Also worthy of note is while movies produced in Onitsha and elsewhere in the East are almost exclusively Igbo, movies produced in lagos are dominated by Igbos and independent Media companies such as multi choice and Iroko before yoruba producers. I can assure you even the cinema movies you banter words about, although occupy about 10% of the total movie volume, is still Igbo dominated, except yorubas are naturally 'loud'. I know about Izu Ojukwu, Obi Emelonye etc doing well there. Instead of arguing, pay more attention to 'executive producer' part while watching movies. It's obvious you don't know anything about what you're saying, u even said the cinema movies are dominated by Igbos. Go and check it yourself na . |

Does being in Lagos mean that Igbos are not in control of Alaba, Oga Igbos own Nollywood and more movies are produced daily portraying Igbo culture, believe it or not, a tree does not make a forest. The Nollywood as we know today portrays Igbo culture and city life, and more Igbos feature in the movie industry than any other nationalities take it to the bank Nollywood is Igbo Nollywood is not Igbo. Let me tell you a bitter truth. A standard movie produced in Yoruba would earn more audience than another standard one produced in Igbo. Yoruba owns Nollywood, Yoruba makes it fruitful , we make it 'tussh' and honourable and we have the audience to make any movie sells faster, so we own Nollywood |

Also, you cannot tell me that Bollywood is bigger than Hollywood. American movies travel far and wide all over the world than Bollywood even with their population. What's the essence of making substandard movies and classifying them as movies. How many people watch Asaba movies. Even at that, Yoruba Nollywood too produces tonnes of movies. |

Muslims lifestyle doesn't reflect in their actions especially southern Muslims. If you see an average Yoruba Muslim, you won't be able to see any specific reflection of him being a Muslim physically if you've not engaged him yet. |

AlexBells: I hope in your Yoruba culture you have Igwe, Eze, lolo, which Nollywood movie have you seen Oba, Alafin, Emir, the fact it is produced in Lagos does not change the culture it is built around, between Lagos is no man's land Honestly, you're obviously not saying the truth or u don't know what you're saying. Firstly, either it's Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa movie, they're all called Nollywood. The ones you categorized as Igbo inclined is the Igbo version of Nollywood. Yoruba dominate Nollywood. Infact, they speak Yoruba in English Nollywood than any other language, even the Igbos in the movies try to feel among by speaking Yoruba or have you seen any Yoruba actor forcing himself to speak Igbo? Don't you know that the fact that Nollywood is centralized around Lagos boost the Yoruba chance of dominating it? Likewise the music industry and other industries too. Standard Nollywood movies that are produced in Lagos are Yoruba inclined not the Asaba ones. Go check Nollywood cinema movies , most of them are more Yoruba inclined filled mostly with Yoruba actors. Do you know Kunle Afolayan? He's the most successful director that directs top notch and fantastic movies that are internationally-recognized and most of those movies display Yoruba culture. If you doubt me, go and check Netflix and do survey of all the movies there only if you'll be sincere with your outcome. |

cherishmichael: Okay, does this scrab now make Tinubu or Atiku the beter aspirants??.... They have all done one devastating act in their past, the question now should be, who was worse in them all and who is adjusting he's errors??. The past of Tinubu is better than Peter Obi. Reason is even if you accuse Tinubu of stealing, let's assume that's true, but he did a lot of works which are glaring. Lemme ask you, do u prefer a low-thief who does nothing to someone you called a big thief that did a lot. I'm even sure if Peter Obi is in control of economy like Lagos, he'll milk it more with his so called yeye investments that has no value and no traces. All of a sudden, he became a saint but you all have forgotten when he was a VP to Atiku, the world known thief and he couldn't dissociate himself, if not for even that same Atiku , who would know who is Peter Obi, he first got popular nationally cos of Atiku. You people said he isn't desperate that either he wins or lose, he doesn't mind but he left PDP cos he cannot win to another party, I don't know any other definition of desperation. Even Tinubu who so called the cabals, president and everybody glaringly worked against didn't decamp. Untill you all accept that he's just the every normal politician and stop painting him like an Angel. Everybody in this present time regardless of all sentiment would agree that David Umahi has been trying and doing a lot with the low revenue, but can that be said to the almighty Obi you all are hyping? |
