Hello everyone, please I need your assistance.
Age 29
Qualification:
M.Sc. Chemistry (Biochemistry)
B.Sc. Biochemistry
Married with 2 kids
I’ve intension to further my career in Canada. Please can someone advise me on the cheapest university which I can apply for Ph.D., preferably in Ontario and other general ideas on how to start the process. I will really appreciate your response.
Hi,

If you are going for a PH.D, it's best for you to go for a PHD program that is fully funded (By the School or Department). Most time, PHD in Canada and other countries has funding available cos of it's duration, research intensive and other factors .

Due to the Competitive Nature of Graduate School in CANADA, don't limit yourself to one province (ONTARIO), explore other schools in other provinces.

Visit the first two links below and google search the programs there (Biochemistry & Chemistry)

Also look downwards & google the schools offering PH.D in Food Science.

PHD in Biochemistry
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Biochemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH

PHD in Chemistry
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH

PH.D in Food Science

PhD in Food Science
Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia

PhD Food Science
University of Guelph, Ontario

PhD in food science
University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan

PhD in food science
Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador

PhD in Food Science
University of Manitoba, Manitoba

PhD in Food Science (Vancouver)
University of British Columbia, British Columbia

PhD in Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry
McGill University, Quebec

Now ,how can you start the process in Securing Supervisor/Supervisors (Professors), getting a Fully funded PH.D Position etc.

Gurus/menbers that have passed through Grad. School (PH.D) will guide you more better based on their experience

Also,

If your intentions is to become a Permanent Resident (PR), you can give Canada Express Entry (EE) a Shot

- With your M.SC
- And your age still looking good (not yet 30, cos once you clock 30 , you gonna start dropping points),

you seem eligible to have more CRS Score

In a nutshell,
before you Clock 30, you can work towards EE

For more details & guide on EE, visit the EE thread via the link below

Good evening guys,

1) On what possible grounds/reasons (probably general) can an Applicant travel to Canada much more earlier than Resumption date in which the Canada border officials would agree with why he is coming to Canada 3 months before his resumption date.

For instance

Program is meant for SEPTEMBER 2021, but the student want to travel in June (Mid to Late June) 2021

How can thus be addressed?

2) Are there Airline Operators that are kind of cheap?

Thanks

Good day everyone.

I am currently putting together my SOP and supporting documents. My mom and dad has separate lands which were acquired over 13 years ago. I have the C of Os with me, but they don’t show anything related to the value of the properties, which I believe should be over 70m as of today.

I want to use the properties as part of my home ties. Is there a way I can show the value of these properties so as to convince the VO of how important the properties are?
Apart from the C of O of the Landed properties you have, if you have the following, u can make also use it

- Survey Plan
- Deed of assignment
- Land Receipts & Stamp Duties
- Land Memorandum of Sales
- Affidavit of Sales

The bolded documents would show the value & cost of the Landed Properties

I feel you can convince a VO in your SOP, how the Land is your inheritance, cos in the Nigerian Culture, Male Children inherits Landed Properties

Our Gurus & Members in the forum can shed more light on this.

Good day people . Please I’m new here . I have a question . I want to migrate to canada via study route . But my major issue is my CGPA i had 2.70 on a 5 point scalein human physiology (2:2) My questions are
1) can I get masters directly (even if it is in unpopular university)
2( how much should I budget for this ?
3) which school should I apply to ?

Thanks in advance
Hi Betty,

1) Your CGPA is too low for an M.SC, most Masters program require a 2.1, with the CGPA mentioned above, u are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate program related to Human Physiology

2) - Tuition - Depends on the TUITION amount of the Program in that school for International students (Check the School Website for that)

- Compulsory One Year living Expenses of $10,000 CAD

And some other budget depending on your profile whether u are married , married with kids or Single.

3) This question has been asked & answered in Part 17,
I think Post Graduate Certificate Programs in Exercise Science will be good for you cos it kinda relates to Human Physiology (not sure), you would know better anyway

You can google the following programs & Schools

- PG. Cert, Exercise Science for Health and Performance
Niagara College, Welland, ONTARIO

- PG. Cert, Exercise Science And Lifestyle Management
Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Toronto, ONTARIO

Am sure the gurus of this forum can give you additional response to your questions

Hello Nairalanders,

Please I need information about the Form A platform, especially from people who have paid Memorial tuition fees with it.

I mailed the cashier office yesterday and they recommend I use GlobalPay student platform to make payment. As it stands, I don't have any idea on how the platforms work.

I could really use the information now as the deadline for payment is so close.

Thank you.

Hello, I have a question for all the applicants who did an upfront medical exam after submitting their application. How did you send your Medicals to ircc? Did you raise a web form or send it by email? Because Ircc is yet to send a medical request and I want to it soon.
Yes you will need to raise a Webform & also send it by mail.

To do that, visit the link below
