Hello guys...

Can Work EXPERIENCE gotten through NYSC be claimed as 1-year Work Experience?

If yes, how? Am asking this question cos it's not when we started NYSC, we started working (the 12 month work experience)

- Also for like 5-months at my PPA , salary was paid in Cash, sequel to that, how can one demonstrate one was fully-paid with this scenerio.

Would appreciate your inputs on this

Any additional guide/tips for a Corp member whose work experience is only his youth service would be appreciated aswell.

Thanks

Boss, I submitted an application just now to Stevens Institute of Technology, but my dashboard shows awaiting application fee of $60.00

Should I ignore? How will I be sure that my application will be reviewed?

Or do I contact the graduate office? Please advise
It's very likely your application has been accepted but the default AWAITING APPLICATION will still be showing.

It's very common with schools that offer APP. FEE WAIVER , a friend experienced this kind of scenerio in a school in Canada a year ago, it showed submitted, and still brought out AWAITING APPLICATION FEE OF $95 CAD, the guy got a notification in his mail that he submitted an application and review have started immediately, two weeks later, he got the admission.

In this case, to clear the air, contact the Graduate Office of this school

I just finished speaking to an agent and he said I will require IELTS Academic to apply for study permit.

N/B: I used Duolingo English Test result in getting the admission.

Please can someone tell me if I really require IELTS to secure study permit when I didn’t need it for the MSc application. Thanks
If you want your application to be processed by IRCC via the NSE route, IELTS is one of the requirements

See link below for more details about NSE route
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/705#97124448

If you want your application to be processed by IRCC via the Normal/Regular route, you don't need IELTS

ILoveDLord:
Hi. It depends on the employer and their work schedule available for you. For instance, you may sometimes only work 3 days in a week so for that week, you will have an average of 6 hours per day for each of the three days. The schedule may not be fixed. Sometimes you may work 6 days in a week, 3hrs on one day, another 5 hours, 6 hours , even 2 hours and then 3 hours. At the end of the week, you get a maximum of 20 hours. Some weeks you may not even work up to 20 hours, depending on the demand or what is available. Some weeks you might just work a total of 10hours.

Also because the employers know that you are a student, they give you flexibility. So at the beginning of securing the job or even during the interview, they ask you to tell them what days and times you are available to work.

This is from personal experience when I was still studying and working part time here in Canada. I believe others who are studying or studied would agree that that is how it is generally.

Hope this helps
Ok would take note of that

GRACIAS!!!

My program of interest is M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering with focus in Energy System Engineering/Renewable Energy and I am looking at Fall and Spring 2021 admissions as there are schools that are still taking applications. I got admission last spring at Louisiana State University Lafayette but couldn't secure funding. So I want to ensure I get concrete info before applying to schools.
Do a research on
M.S. Renewable Energy Engineering at Oregon Institute of Technology and see if they have what you want

It is not based on daily hours, it is weekly. For example, you can work an 8 hour shift on Monday and 10 hour shift on Saturday one week. The next week you can choose to work 4days of 5hours. As long as you don't exceed 20hours per week.
Ideally, you don't want to work too much at the detriment of your studies.
Thanks for your response, your suggestions about the shifts looks a bit flexible.

To the last part, am fully aware of that, thanks for the soft reminder cheesy

hello everyone been a while here I was denied last year September, so I had to defer to this year. I will like to begin the process again.

just a few questions

1. Is the application process still fully online?
2. Can i still use the medical report I used for my last application(August 2020)?
3. Are there new updates to the application process?

i will still be going through the thread again, but i just needed some clarity on this issue?
1) Yes , strictly online, paper application ain't available cos of the pandemic

2) I think you can, since it hasn't expired, but wait for response from the gurus about this

3) NSE route is now the new route IRCC process Canada Study Visa Application of Nigerian application, but you can still opt for the Regular Route if you know you are not able to meet up with the NSE requirements

For information about the NSE route, Visit the the links below

Finally, my transcript is available now after 6 grueling long months. Nawa for Naija Schools finally. Last time , I applied for human resources management post graduate diploma at New Brunswick Community college and i was duly rejected after payment of application fee because i had no transcript to attach to the application nor sent to the official school mailing address from my institution. Now i'm more equipped, I need affordable schools that i can apply for a direct masters degree or a post graduate diploma in Canada..... Lekiboboe and others here, I need your input.

I checked out Lambton but they offer only online classes for Human resources management. I possess a Bsc in Government and Public Administration
Chai, 6 months to get transcript shocked, Naija Schools ehn....... embarassed

See this post (see link) and do the needful ASAP cos admission application for some SEPTEMBER (FALL) 2021 programs might/would be closing soon

You would have to get a dollar card as it's only credit card that's acceptable our naira debit card would not work and it's not acceptable as the payment is Prepaid which you will have to pay immediately you book with your card details so get a dollar card and fund your Dormicilliary account for it
Quick question,

Let's say for instance, I av $500 USD in my FCMB Domiciliary account with the ATM card, can i use it to pay the $235 CAD Study permit application fee?
