mcobex:Ok Chief, tnx xo much |
oluswaggz:You are welcome, Ok, since your work experience relates to your HND in Computer Science, you can go for a computer science related Post Graduate Certificate Program, google the following programs & visit their websites for their Admission Requirements, International Tuition amount etc. - PG. But who never can tell , one the above schools might require you to send your Transcript & Certificate to them. - I don't know if it's only your HND Transcript & Certificate that is needed, probably Polytechnic graduates in this forum can confirm if you will also be needing your OND transcript & certificate for admission in Canadian Colleges |
oluswaggz:Hi, Yes you can apply to a Graduate Certificate program with your HND Certificate. You best bet is to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate program in a College, not a University For Career/Academic progression sake, It's gonna be better if you mention - What you studied in your HND? - What year did you graduate? (To address education gaps) - Do you have Work Experience? If yes, how many years work experience do you have & does the work experience relate to what you studied in your HND? Your response to the above questions will determine programs with schools (colleges) you can apply to. You don't need to evaluate your Transcript via WES to apply for Post Graduate Certificate program in a college, you all you need is; - a Student Copy of your Transcript (Not statement of result) &, - HND Certificate |
mcobex:Thanks xo much for this eye opener, this is very insightful. God bless you Sequel to your last paragraph, the letter my family friend should write, who should she address it to, IRCC or CBSA ? Thanks |
papijulah:IOM Abuja will send your Medicals result to IRCC, you should get a text message notifying you that your Health Assessment has been sent to IRCC But you as the Applicant , you also need to send the E-medical sheet (scanned in PDF) to IRCC Offices via Webform & IRCC office E-mail addresses This will guide you Sending Webform & Mail of E-Medical Sheet (Upfront Medicals) to IRCC Nairobi office & other IRCC offices https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/260#93174797 Email address of other IRCC offices https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/6#97288992 |
Sharonyeah:You won't see a university accepting 2.2 for Mechanical Engineering for Masters. 2.1 is the minimum requirement. Someone made a Comment some few pages back about PG. Cert in Mechanical Engineering related courses, I think you should check it out , it's in the link below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/483#95675552 Also check out - PG. Cert in Industrial Automation Niagara College, Welland, ON https://www.niagaracollege.ca/technology/program/industrial-automation/ You can also do a research on this electro-mechanical & energy sustainability program called PG. Cert in Ocean Technology @Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), Nova Scotia https://www.nscc.ca/learning_programs/programs/plandescr.aspx?prg=OTAD&pln=OCEANTECH |
Bhooomie:While you await gurus to answer your 1) & 2) questions, 3) Since your program has a co-op, a Co-op letter should come along with your acceptance letter (Merged), then you split it & extract the Co-op Letter, it's that extracted Co-op letter you will upload on the Evidence of Work Requirement in Study Upload Section You can spilt your acceptance letter here https://www.ilovepdf.com/split_pdf & then download it (it will download in zip), unzip the downloaded zip file, extract the zip file into a new folder, you would see your already extracted Co-op letter there |
Queenose:While you await a response from the gurus See this PG. Cert in Physiology related programs in Canadian Colleges https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/465#95552769 As regards Visa Chances, it boils down to many factors e.g. - Education Gap (You graduated 2017- 4 years difference) - Work Experience (is your work experience related to your Physiology Degree) etc. You would need to explain in your SOP (Statement of Purpose) to a Visa Officer (VO) with very genuine & convincing reasons why you want to study this PG. Cert. Program. The essence of this is to show to a VO your Purpose of Visit (which is to study) is very genuine and not to elope to Canada via the Study Route. This can be of help in writing tour SOP SOP Step-by-Step Guidelines https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part#88892909 |
Akannitommy:Thanks so much for the based on experience response. Very Helpful |

Hi, All the Step-by-Step guide you need is on this forum, you have to take your time and read those guides, most especially the first page of this forum. .......... First of all you need to get an Admission for a Masters In Finance program (If you have a 2.1) in a Canadian University (Note: the Masters program must relate with the course you did in your Undergraduate) . It's when you gain admission & you get your Letter of Acceptance (Admission Letter) you can now go ahead & apply for a Canada Study Visa. In the link below are Universities offering this Program (Master in Finance) in Canada, take your time and explore the programs https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Finance&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH This contents in the link will guide you on how to apply for a Masters Admission and also you would find essential information there https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 All you need to know about Canada Study Visa Application, Sponsorship etc. is in the Link below, take your time & go through them one after the other https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/558#96300254 https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/120#98075660 https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/121#91193146 https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/82#97848268 If you have further questions, ask here in the forum, gurus & members will respond |
Rootiab:No you can't, also strictly by appointment (date and time on your Appointment letter) Also If your BIOMETRICS is slated for 12pm on your Appointment letter & you get there 8am, you won't be allowed in until that 12pm on your Appointment Letter |
Rootiab:No you can't Medicals is strictly by appointment If you go there and your name is not confirmed for Monday on their list, you won't be allowed in. |
Rootiab:Do refer to this two posts What to go along with to VFS Office for Biometrics (Lagos or Abuja) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/303#93627542 Biometrics Experience at VFS https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/12#97324402 |
TeeMade:Thanks for your response Actually am asking this question in respect of someone who has gotten her Study Visa Approved and wants to travel Does that mean she should make available a budget of $2500 CAD for the quarantine? |
Good evening guys, About this Two Weeks Quarantine Plan, i want to know, " apart from the one year living expenses, Is there any amount of money to be shown for a Quarantine Plan, if yes, how much? " Any Additional information about this 2-weeks Quarantine Plan will be appreciated Thanks |
Thiwhy:To your last Question, Why not mention what you studied in your HND so you can be able to get Suggestions on PG.Cert program & school you can apply to |
Simyowe:You won't see a Canadian school listing HND as part of their requirement. If you check the minimum requirements for PG. Cert in Mechatronics at Fleming College, it says Completion of an Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field That equivalent means an HND holder can apply for a PG. Cert., Infact there are lotz of members in this forum that got a PG. Cert Admission with their HND. So get your - HND Transcript (not Statement of Result) - HND Certificate, and other required documents by the school then apply for a PG.Cert in any of the following Electrical Engineering related program Conestoga College - Embedded Systems Development (Optional Co-op) (2 years PGC-Post Graduate Certificate Program) Fanshawe College - PGC, Electronics and Embedded Systems Development Fleming College - PGC Mechatronics |
Simyowe:Like you were being responded to you can only see branches of Elect-Elect related to your work experience e.g Mechatronics, Embedded Systems etc. The thing is , most PG. Cert programs are specialized Hands-on experience graduate programs You can refer to the contents in the link below , take your time & do research on this Electrical Engineering related PG. Cert programs https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/91#90516887 |
Adasino:1) Yes it is possible to get a Fully-funded Scholarships with your CGPA, but note that CGPA is not the only criteria to clinch a scholarship, there is more to it e.g Research Abilities/potentials etc. 2) Visit the link below , you would see Masters in Biochemistry programs & universities offering them https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Biochemistry&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH To know if the above schools have Funded Masters Program in Biochemistry, you have to take your time to do research on that yourself, most especially mailing Biochemistry professors at various schools in other to know if they are accepting students. The contents in the link below will guide you further on how to do all of that, go through everything you see there. Full guides on how to apply for MASTERS/PH.D programs, Secure a Supervisor in Canadian Universities and also get possible FUNDING (SCHOLARSHIP) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 3) To your last Question, I think other members & gurus would be able to help you on that |
Domain12:Aiit, you are welcome Do refer to the post in the link below Schools offering PG. Cert in Computer Science related Programs https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/431#95227017 Inside the link above, you would see two schools in TORONTO having PG.Cert programs in aspects of Computer Science, If that's not the aspect of Computer Science you are looking for , then you are left with no choice than to check other schools in other locations listed |
milkytins:Documents required for Biometrics - Biometric Instruction Letter (1 copy) - Appointment letter (1 copy) - Your International Passport - 2 Coloured Copies of ur International Passport Data Page (Endeavor to print this documents before going to the Center, cos if u don't , u would be left with no choice than to print it at an outrageous amount at the center) Note: Ignore any tout that comes to meet you that you need Passport Photograph, it is not needed |
Marvel4u:Yes it is Possible to get Fully-Funded Admission for PHD Visit the link below for that, in that same link, you would see a website you can use to search for PHD programs & schools Full guides on how to apply for MASTERS/PH.D programs, Secure a Supervisor in Canadian Universities and also get possible FUNDING (SCHOLARSHIP) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 |

Omolayo02:Do refer to the post in the link below Full Information about doing Upfront Medicals at IOM (Lagos or Abuja) or Q-life (Lagos), Cost etc. https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/630#96679974 |
mcobex:Am actually making this enquiry in advance, don't know how this work 100%, thanks for the input, I do appreciate |
MadeMan01:Thanks so much, I appreciate |
Domain12:At this point, you shouldn't be specific about a precise location for a school, what if the program you want to study is not in any school in Toronto. Think about that. Now to your last sentence " 2.2 graduate ", based on that, i think you are eligible for a Post Graduate Certificate Program (PG. Cert). Why not mention what you studied in your Undergraduate & your Work Experience (If any), cos the PG. Cert program you must go for must either tandem (relate) to what you studied in school or your work experience, with that you will get possible Suggestions of schools & programs you can apply to, and you might even be lucky the PG. Cert program you want to study is being offered in a school located in Toronto & it can go either way, so as per location, brace yourself up for the uncertainty. |
mcobex:I actually saw the fare of some flight operators, it's on the high side. Saw the ones for #600k to almost #850K. Thanks for the eye opener & advice. Those factors you mentioned are factors to consider before booking. |
Akannitommy:Wow #280K ? This is an amazing dealI heard - Royal Air Maroc - Egypt Air; are cheap aswell, can anyone attest to this. Thanks |
