temmytanny: I called Lagos embassy 1 week to my interview and they said its not needed for DV applicants in naija. I guess same will apply to 2013 applicant but i strongly advice you all to call or email lagos embassy and ask but please make sure you quote your CN,full names and address in the letter.They will reply you before next friday

...hmnnn, too many confusions on here. But take it or leave it, I have read every info on immigrant visa back & forth. For me, I'm not gonna bother myself on affhdavit of support or whatever & i'm gonna come out successful with my interview. Lest I forget, i called a DV 2012 winner who is now in US on affidavit of support and he disagreed with me. In short, i can't shout jare....shikena!!

Excluding DV Applicants is clearly written in brackets and i think this settles all arguments on "affidavit of support".
