PoliticsRe: Nigeria Has No Reason To Be Poor — EU by levos2007(m): 11:10am On May 02, 2013
Rossikk: The EU should ask their member, Britain, what she did with all the monies earned from Nigerian exports from 1897 to 1960. If that money had been used to develop Nigeria rather than embezzled and used to develop England, Nigeria would have been as fully developed as South Africa at independence, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. So let them start with their own thievery. We are poor today because we are playing catch up, struggling to build things that should have been built 100 years ago.
.
No, we are poor cos we choose to be poor.

i was watching TV with my sister in law last night and they showed africa snow, she said" NO THIS IS NOT AFRICA , ITS WAS FILMED AT DIFFERENT LOCATION. I LAUGHED"

Black Peni5: The only news shown in the foreign media about Africa are hunger, Poverty, Corruption, etc., while the good things go unmentioned.

The solution to Africa's problem can only come from within.

Until we learn to appreciate our own things, we'll never develop.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Military Ranks 4th In Africa And 36th In The World by levos2007(m): 4:35pm On Jan 20, 2013
you need to look at the economy as well, NK is a strong country that can face USA without any Allies. They produce their own weapon.
rileest: I'm finding it hard to believe this ranking with North Korea being so down in the ranking and South Korea being way ahead of them. Anyone should be educate me on this because I've been made to believe North Korea is a military country and could easily erase the whole of South Korea If the South doesn't get help from US and other world Powers. Nice one for Nigeria though

i was arrested by Cypriot police and i slept in the cell over night, the cell was AC fitted with blanket even though i hate it
payless: Wow! Look at Nigeria Police College!

When I was a criminal Justice student in the U.S, I visited so many prisons in U.S and they look like middle-class apartment studios. Furnished with beds, sanitary wares, tooth brushes, clean toilets, clean towels for inmates, doctors, barbers, gym, basketball court, pool table and more. Some "middle class" in Nigeria wouldn't mind living in American prison environments if they were available for rent in Nigeria. Imagine prisons with internet service with full A/C.

Sad! Sad!! Sad!!!

Aigbofa: You paid for your foolishness in blood, that is the cold truth. Nothing about your experience in Nigeria points to the fact that you are smart at all. From the moment Azikiwe joined the Abokis in denying a secession clause in the constitution, your fate was sealed. If anybody can take ibos out of Nigeria, it is the same Yorubas you despise so much.

redsun: Honestly,i was talking to an english lady about those lizards this evening, how i missed them running around the house, even though they are suppose to be wild. When she asked me their names in english,i couldnt tell her because we just use to call them lizards. Though, we have native names for them, but i wouldnt make sense to her.

The male ones are bigger and red headed, while the female are smaller and greyish all round. That was as far as i could describe them to her. Can somebody please name the species in english?
Do you know england also has a lot of rabbits?

defbond1: Nairaland has a max of 200kb of pix so i rest my case. feel free to send ur email add. I will send u pics of all the most expensive cars in the world as exhibited by top gear>
Yes that car is in Nigeria. No honest business man will drive that. Not even n a honest politician. What Nigerians call Prestige and class is what others in western world call madness. Have u seen David Cameron's convoy? Just 2 cars. Only in Nigeria you will see a man has a farm of Range Rover sports, and other cars. People are hungry in that country, people are getting poorer, the economy is worsening. These looters are looting the heritage of Nigeria, of the future generation. A Senator asks $3M bribe; recorded on camera, yet he's walking about flexing muscle. Shame!
Like i also said, an oil deal is going to be completed in Nigeria this week. I have sent it to NL moderator to make it public so the people know they are being watched by public. Nothing has been done about it. The public cant even be bothered.
God bless Nigeria.
I don't think we should argue about this, i won't be surprise if there are more than 10 of it in Nigeria(sabi na 9ja,) where our money is been used for personal purpose.
CrimeBenue Court Sentences 2 Brothers To Death Over N39,000 by levos2007(op): 9:40am On Jul 02, 2012
TWO Fulani brothers were, at the weekend, in Makurdi, Benue State, sentenced to death by hanging by a state High Court for armed robbery.

The convicted brothers, Abubakar Yau and Ibrahim Yau, were sentenced to death for robbing their victim of a sum of N39,040 and handsets.

They were alleged to have on March 28, 2009, conspired and robbed at gunpoint one Simon Tartyough and Isaac Kerna both of Guma Local Government Area of the state of their valuable property on Makurdi-Guma road.

In his judgment, last week, the Chief Judge of Benue State, Justice Iorhenen Hwande, asserted that the law maintained that a person convicted of armed robbery had no option but death sentence, punishable under section 1(2) (b) of the Robbery and Firearms Special provision Act.

Justice Hwande, who read the judgment himself, was, however, interpreted in Hausa language for lucid understanding of the two convicts.
The two convicts, 30-year-old Abubakar and his brother, Ibrahim both cattle herdsmen, lived in Innundu village of Guma Local Government Area of the state at the time of the offence.
