FACT!!! The reputation of Nigerians abroad, particularly Nigerian men, has hardly ever been good, and has become increasingly worse! From con men that the world most easily identifies and thus is most weary of (because "we" generally believe that "we" are smarter than everyone else, including each other,yet, a disproportionate number of us are rotting in foreign jails as proof of amateurism)... to "terrorists", thanks "Abdul"...etc... as if the historic and persistent adverse, warped and generally bigoted perception of Africans, particularly African men, wasn't enough.

Have y'all watched the Oprah Winfrey special on "scammers", or the "To Catch a Con Man" special series on MSNBC or movies live District 9 (South African), etc... it was all too easy for Cruz to associate "us" with a fair president whom he clearly expresses disdain for.

Note, that this problem is facilitated by the failure of those responsible for providing sufficient education, employment and business opportunities to the citizenry... + people tend to emulate "those responsible" in thievery, including scams and/or prostitution. Pity... for a people and land with MUCH potential.

We need to fix our home!!! Then we can prosper and others will have no choice but to deal with and SPEAK/REFER to us with at least some respect... "Giant of Africa"!?

First and most importantly, I am a christain.
There is this problem I encountered while fliping through some pages with my mind.

That is, can we be justified when we chose not to forgive someone who continously wrong us but is yet to ask for forgiveness? (No, We cannot - "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." - Matt 6:14-15)

If yes, wouldn't that weaken our lord's prayer? (Again No, "The Lord's prayer" is never weakened, only our argument or prayer for HIS forgiveness when we retain malice)

If no, can God forgive a serial sinner who is without remorse? (GOD can save and forgive anyone... then he/she will experience true remorse - Romans 2:4)

If yes, wouldn't it show a mark of contradiction on the person of God? ("As for GOD, His way is perfect..."

I need answers, please.

In my humble opinion and from the Scriptures... the only way a sin cannot be unto death is if one is truly saved by The Lord JESUS CHRIST... truly HIS by grace & mercy alone, then nothing you have done, do or will do can ever "separate us from the love of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -(Roman 8:28-39)

Having stated that, one doesn't with impunity continue to walk in sin, but tries and conquers more everyday (Phil 4:13).

GOD is truly Wonderful, Gracious and Full of Compassion... HE paid the price for many.

I have observed that most Catholics believe that Jesus was actually referring to them in the passages I quoted above.

I want to know your views on this because most Catholics believe they are the one true Church and other Churches are hell bound. I'm not a Church goer and personally do not believe that going to Church is necessary or compulsory for salvation, but I'd still like to know your views on this!
