Like my mentor Gazzuzz rightly said, there's nothing wrong with your transmission.
It's a 4speed transmission compared to your Lexus which is a 6speed.

That said, run a live scan to know what you can find. Hope you know the parameters to look out for?

I am here with my 2003 Highlander v6 4wd again.

Noticed that when I'm on cruising speed at 100-120kmph, the rpm is between 2500 to 3000.

However, on the same speed with my 07 es350, the rpm is usually between 1800 to 2000.

I have a feeling the highlander doesn't get into the last gear. And it consumes a lot of fuel. No actual or pending error codes on the car.

How do I resolve this, please?

Not too old, you may be able to update the software. I doubt that'll be of any use, though.

That's why Android Auto/Apple Carplay are so useful.

There is a difference in functionality and a few accessories addition. 03 to 05 same, 06 to 07 same. Better to buy the 06 or 07 the additional functionality are worth it from my experience

when i finally moved her, noticed that while driving (on D), the gear disengages and if I depress the throttle, it just revs like the car is on park or neutral.

I had to engage the reverse gear first, then move back to drive (D) before it picked again.

this has happened like twice after I first noticed it.

Please advise on how to fix this.

I would take the rx350 over the MDX.

The suspension on the MDX is not designed for really bad roads here.

The catalytic converter on the MDX is not designed for our fuel.
