What does 800-hectare tells you? Very small land indeed. It is a farm and is privately owned land owned by Mr Somebody. The settlement is not even supported by majority Afrikaners, and it is now an old age home together with Orania. It is now supported by the government of SA because the constitution allows people of the same culture to inhabit together harmoniously on the same habitat.

However, you seem to fail to understand that, there are hundred of black only settlement in SA and why is it not an issue to you? Why don't you make it an issue that there are many black only settlement in KwaZulu?
eat dust!!! You said Kleinfontein is a farm. You are so low.

Kleinfontein and Eronia , its sister town are modern examples that apartheid is still on. Your black settlements are slummy cesspit which whites runaway from.

Now your IQ is as light as children's biscuit grin . you claim kleinfontein is a private farm and that no black South African police can enter inside even for investigation.

Now tell me, where in the world a private property is beyond investigation by the police?

more excerpt for you:Although the Gauteng legislature has recognised Kleinfontein, a white Afrikaner-only settlement outside Pretoria, as a cultural community, the City of Tshwane won’t declare it a separate development.

The legislature’s decision comes after an investigation by its portfolio committee on community safety into an incident in which police officers were barred from entering the enclave, 30km south-east of the city in November last year, presumably because they did not fit the community’s entry requirements.

The findings of the investigation were reported in the legislature on Thursday, a meeting attended by one of Kleinfontein’s founders and the chairman of the Kleinfontein board, Jan Groenewald. He said the community co-operated fully with the legislature and said rumours that police were denied access to Kleinfontein were unsubstantiated.

The community is also in the process of applying to have Kleinfontein declared an independent legal entity within the City of Tshwane.

But while some have welcomed the acknowledgement of the settlement as a “cultural community” as a first step, the Tshwane mayor stressed that the city would not approve a whites-only township development within the capital city.

“It would be in contravention of the Bill of Rights for the City of Tshwane to approve a township development where residence was exclusive for a particular race group,” said the mayoral spokesman Blessing Manale.

In emphasising the supremacy of the constitution and the Bill of Rights, Executive Mayor Kgosientso Ramkgopa – who visited the settlement earlier in the year “to have a conversation with the community” – said every citizen had the right to “enter, remain and reside” anywhere in South Africa.

“We believe that there remains an open platform, medium and institutions for every South African to practise their legitimate cultural and religious rights, and to preserve and celebrate their heritage without demanding separate development and self-exclusion,” Manale said.

He described Kleinfontein as an informal settlement because it had not been formalised nor proclaimed as a formal township. There were about 40 such areas in the city. Groenewald attended the legislature meeting on Thursday. He said “rumours” that police were not allowed entry into Kleinfontein were unsubstantiated.

“… the investigation led to an excellent relationship between the Kleinfontein community and the legislature,” said Groenewald.

The 800ha co-operative turns 21 this year making it a year younger than its sister town, Orania. There are 450 shareholders in Kleinfontein with 300 homes and 1 000 residents – all of whom are white, Christian Afrikaners.

Those who live in Kleinfontein quote Article 185 of the constitution which defends the right to live with people of the same cultural group, language and religion.

The Freedom Front Plus welcomed the recognition of the Kleinfontein settlement as a cultural community, said Jaco Mulder, FF Plus member of the legislature in Gauteng.

Mulder, who was part of the investigation committee, said numerous misconceptions about Kleinfontein had now been cleared up.

Behold your lack of dignity:Kleinfontein: A Place Where Only Whites Can Live, Oh Yeah, It is In Africa!

May 24, 2013 | Filed under: Africa , Featured | Posted by: Editorial_Staff

The entrance to Kleinfontein, being guarded by White militiamen

AFRICANGLOBE– About 30km south-east of Tshwane, South Africa’s capital on the N4 highway, there is a place you enter through a boom gate – similar to many other places in the city.

A security guard in full military attire greets you at the gate with a book for you to sign, and once you’ve stated your case you’re allowed in.

The system is similar to those at every other security estate in the city – except on the other side of this particular gate, you will see White faces only.

Welcome to Kleinfontein.

The White people who live here call it a “cultural community”, a safe haven for the white Christian Afrikaner.

The 800-hectare co-operative, started by Jan Groenewald, turns 21 years old this year and is one year younger than Orania – it’s sister town.

“It was started in 1992 when the founding members got that tingling feeling that the ANC would take over,” says Dr Pieter du Preez, who has lived here for five years and is a member of the board.

There are 450 shareholders in Kleinfontein with 300 homes and 1,000 residents – all White, Christian and Afrikaners.

“It is an Afrikaner homestead,” says Du Preez.

Once you have made it through the boom gate, you are greeted as Oom (uncle) or Tannie (auntie) by another security guard – also in military dress. He asks you who you are visiting and escorts you.

On the way to the office building, you are confronted with a large bust of Hendrik Verwoerd , the architect of apartheid.

Every White face along the way is smiling and they greet you in the “purest” Afrikaans.

Still, the place is eerily quiet.

“We have almost zero crime,” says Marisa Haasbroek, Kleinfontein’s volunteer communications officer.

The first stop after checking in at the office is the coffee shop.

You are treated to coffee and baked milktart by yet another smiling Afrikaner face. The smile broadens when they realise you are Afrikaans too.

The average age of a Kleinfontein resident is 60.

“Older people move here to retire because it is safe, quiet and we have a great care centre,” Haasbroek says over coffee.

When asked why there are few young people, she says it is too far outside Tshwane and the young do not want to drive so far to work.

“Older people do not travel as much,” she says.

Next up is a guided tour.

To be Honest its kind of sad how you always claim SA has better this and that, than Nigeria because of Whites, this clearly shows me that you have a major inferiority complex towards White people, luckily most of us in South Africa have know learned to get over our differences, it would be great if you could get over it to.

And although I condemn racist remarks, It really doesn't bother me as well, when for instance @Lezz makes racist comments about White Afrikaners I don't take offence, why? because I know he is most likely a small confidence lacking boy trying to sound relevant on an anonymous thread.

But thanks for the apology I do appreciate it , and remember if you have a bad day and you want to vent some anger, please come to this thread(Just stay on topic though), most of us really don't care if we are insulted.......well I don't anyway, so if you feel like insulting someone to vent some anger, you are more than welcome to insult me I really wont take offence.
I am Leslie and I troll with facts but for leisure.
Now let's get factual; realism is not racism and no one discusses South Africa without discussing race.

- whites built every single thing in S.A all of SA's bragging rights belong to the Anglo-dutch which are a flicking 5% of the population.

- you don't get this 5% whites coming on foreign forum and squatting for 5 years insisting they are better than all of Africa. They are all about their business.

- but you have full bred Zulu and half Zulu bred who are 85% of the population, have only 15% in the middle class and only 1 billionaire in S,A's 7 - you have them permanently on a forum sitting for 5 years and claiming they are the best in africa.

- who got a touchy inferior complex ? Zulus. So I ask what have your ancestors built in SA ?

- it was just 1994 the combined voices of Africa got you freedom and your gratitude is baseless bragging and xenophobia.

of all the tribes and people of Africa , only Zulu didn't build a country and only in South Africa you will find the majority if blacks suffering and handling every aspect of their economy and lives to a 5% group of settlers.

- so when we see them squatting here and making dumb claims, we oft times remind them while make debate here, we are all aware what's eating you.

Oh!!! Do you mean white South African? They are as well South Africans.

Life is not always about power this power that. What is most important is just to make your people happy. That's all.

If you have ever studied population dynamics you will know that increase in population create competition for resources which in actual fact could have been better if they were enjoyed by few people. The size of your family is a perfect example.
if you ever study population dynamics , you'll see that the big countries are becoming more prominent, powerful and drive growth in their regions.

Nigeria has 20% of Africa's population, so simply put, Nigeria has a lot of responsibility and role to play in Africa. The growth of Nigeria is the growth of Africa.

China is already the biggest consumer of luxury goods in the world.

Nigeria is producing more billionaires than any single country in Africa.

Bigger countries don't require external help to grow as do small countries.

With globalisation and world trade, countries with bigger population will determine world trade and economy.
When BBC says Nigeria is the most important country in Africa...

When former UN sec. gen., Kofi Annan says the destiny of Africa is in the hands of Nigeria ...they weren't stupid.

Yes, the anglo-dutch has laid some nice infrastructure and financial institution in south Africa but that alone doesn't cut it.

See what China is doing in the Asia Pacific, Japan can only stare....one of you southies mentioned Japan having the most powerful
Navy in the region, and I laugh at such naivety.
China is a monster that the entire region needs the US to checkmate. The influence of Japan is at an all time low.

Nigeria is 180 million strong while south Africa is 50 million. We have more standing army covers you 3 to 1.

Our reserve force covers you 3 to 1.

We have fuel which is the soul and blood of any warfare. You lack fuel it is a major concern for your army.

Economically, we would attract more foreign investment than you and our economic surplus will out number yours.

Come to look at it south Africa has been developing for over 300 years. You have no more surprises, no more marvelous growth rate. South Africa is an old lady. And yes the Anglo dutch settlers are dying to come to Nigeria, it will only make us out grow you more.

Check our how nearly all US and UK firms and services are heading to China grin

Nigeria is just 55 yes and has just begun scratching the surface of her potential and you guys are already this jittery and uncomfortable.

You tell me
This is an ISS report on Africa in 2015: If Nigeria plays its cards right, it could become Africa’s only global superpower. It already has the continent’s biggest economy, a huge military budget and a fair record of regional engagement. By 2040 it will also be the fourth largest country in the world after India, China and the United States.

New research by the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) shows that out of Africa’s “Big Five” powerful countries – Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Algeria and Ethiopia – Nigeria is “the African country with by far the greatest capabilities” to play a global role.

The choice of the Big Five is based on the demographic, economic and military size of these countries, as well as their historical role as regional leaders, says the ISS.

South Africa is the only African member of Brics (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the G20, but it is not expected to grow in power and influence internationally and in Africa. Dr Jakkie Cilliers, executive director of the ISS and one of the co-authors of the report, says South Africans sometimes have the misguided impression that the country is a big military power and plays a major role in peacekeeping in Africa.

Spending on defence has, however, been drastically reduced, as shown in the recent defence review. It contributes fewer peacekeepers to United Nations missions than Ethiopia, Egypt and Nigeria.

“In fact, Algeria is spending the most on its military, Ethiopia is the major peacekeeper on the continent and Egypt has the biggest diplomatic power,” says Cilliers.

South Africa’s economy is not projected to grow nearly as much as the rest of Africa.

Population growths are much higher elsewhere on the continent, particularly in Nigeria, where it is projected to grow from 170-million to 320-million by 2040.

“South Africans don’t appreciate the huge size of Nigeria’s economy,” says Cilliers. Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to grow from $525-billion in 2014 to $4.2-trillion by 2040.

Added to South Africa’s woes are “legitimacy problems on the continent”
