As much as I can o my brother. I even got a call from the cdhc this morning asking when I will resume and if the school has sent a letter to that effect. I was also asked if I had paid for the tuition for the year and if the school has sent the receipt. I told the cdhc officer that I will be submitting the relevant documents tomorrow.

Congratulations. That's no condition. Just write your school asap and you should get that within max 2 weeks.

U can write;
I have applied for a room at University College residence because I intend to stay on campus , and expected to finalize payment only when my application had been approved, (state expected date of approval)..

(You can also state the due date for payment and submit the residence fee schedule or whether u are expected to pay when u arrive)

Jazaka l-Ahu khayran for your suggestion. There is no stated date for the down payment of 1000CAD after the application approval but the due date for full payment is in January after resumption.

Is it wise to state in the letter that the University residence office only allow application for boarding in winter alone as it is the second term of the session?

Hello all, please check out this letter I am drafting to accompany my document submission after medicals. This is meant for the accommodation I could not make payment for.

RE: Application number

I am writing to clarify why I cannot include a receipt for the payment of accommodation.
My inability to include this receipt is as a result of the procedure involved for new students/applicants in applying to the University residence office. This involves registering online and applying for accommodation with an initial down payment to be assessed only after the application for accommodation is granted as boarding spaces are limited.
I have registered and I am in the process of applying for a boarding space but I have been having issues with my bank card which I am using to pay for the residence application fee. I hope to sort this out with my bank and complete this application soonest.

That is what I will do coupled with print out of my accommodation application fee payment if I can get one and also information from the accommodation website.

There is no fee schedule like I said; it's just an estimate which will be in the letter of acceptance as soon as you accept the admission offer either through the hard copy or online.

My tuition has finally reflected on my student account and will be excepting the tuition receipt today. The estimate will be on the letter of acceptance and it is on for the tuition incase of uofm. Also any scholarship or funding will be stated in the letter of acceptance. Accommodation estimate is not included.

earthgreeners: My applications are still under review as some of my supporting documents are yet to be received.. I also applied to MUN (wld have a big decision to make when d admission gets thru)...Thanks to my folks in US and Canada (they covered my application fees for d 3 universities)

Get the telex copy of ur wire transfer and send to CDHC as Don Cipher states above.... Submit something from UofM indicating when ur account will be updated

As par the accomodation, u should be able to get an acknowledgement from the office to show you have applied for it and expected to pay only as at when due...

As u submit, recite the last ten verses of the holy quran.....

Don Cipher: Wht do u mean by student visa charge for int'l students? Tuition fee is diffrnt 4rm Admin fees (which shuld lie in the group of 'Other' after Room & Board in IMM 1294E). CDHC knws wht u're xpcted to pay thru the official fee schedule frm ur univ whc u must hv submited wit ur applictn...Ur receipt 4rm the sch wuld indicate ur compliance of1yr tuition payment. Landed property is nt a proof of funds but tie.
@lft, if u paid thru ur local bank, they shuld hv given u a telex copy of the funds transfer to ur sch; get them to sign it & submit to CDHC, with a letter stating why receipt isn't ready whc u wuld submit once u receive it.

spencer3705: immidiately i got my medical invitation with instruction to pay full tuition payment,i scanned the letter to the school.the account oficer instructd me to pay 8-10k whch is d range international studnts pay.i paid 9k canadian dollars having submited all doxs to vac,the following day i got a kall from my consular stating they are particular about the full tuition not my skul international student deposit..i was given 2 weeks ultimatum despite d fact i included instructn and chat frm d skul stating i sud pay 8k.i later kall d skul to tel dm wat embasy emphasized,their reply states embasy wish is their command.i pray almighty God wud help us all.cdhc don strict die.guudgod,jesus 4 all,sirp,lft,wetin dey sele?medical stage na war o o o

I have paid the tuition but yet to get the receipt as the school says my student account will be updated by October 4 which is the deadline by cdhc. As par accommodation; when I contacted the office in charge, I was told I can only apply for now and will pay 50cad and if my application is granted will later pay 1000cad down payment which I am expected to complete depending on the cost of the room latest by January 17 2013.

So I am still in a very tight corner. Just have today and Monday. What do you suggest I can do?

GuudGod: Pls LFt..how long does it take you to get your deferral letter..what was the process,how did you go about it..although we going to different skool..I have not heard back from the skool about the deferral letter for winter..

Due to heavy workload for the faculty assistants, it took 5-6 working days. The process is that your department must approve the deferral and send a confirmation to the faculty of graduate studies who will do the necessary letters. I wouldn't know if that will be the same process in your school.
