UMGF for my department is out.

The system is different from our system o. Mark for assignment, quiz/test, sometimes project and sometimes exam depending on Prof. No worry, the cold will no kill you. You go enjoy am sef so far we don dey; we go give you guidelines.

Apply for the UMGF o to get more funding o. Accommodation close to skool na pangba o - e dey expensive o. Btw 350-750CAD for 1 bed and from like 650-1500CAD for 2 bed or more. So save as much as you can o. Will talk to you later.

Winterpeg is lovely with the snow covering the frontal part houses. The temperature is fluctuating between -12 and -28. I am yet to get but I have gotten someone to pair up with and will soon get one. I will send you my email on your gmail account.

I arrived Winterpeg after almost 8 hours delay in Frankfurt due to snow. I was just sleeping and waking due to the high altitude cold in the cabin; unfortunately I had malaria few days before I left. On arrival in Toronto Pearson, I was issued my study permit without asking for that letter CDHC said should be presented. I was just asked where I am going and what I came to do in Canada. Men, it is frigidly cold here with temperature at -21 (freezer sef no cold reach) when I arrived and it was fluctuating btw -38 and -40 on xmas eve o... . Anyone coming here should have a budget for good winter wears including thick winter boots; no ka-ko-ka o . People are really friendly here; always ready to help as we learnt. Due to the delay, my friend who came to welcome me had left and there was no way I could reach him. When I told one of the airport worker about my predicament, she obliged and gave me her phone to call to my friend.

Join me in thanking Allah for getting me safely to Canada. I'm still trying to settle. I will soon get time to post my experiences so far; 10 days now in Canada.

But I was thinking CDHC should be able to use an email confirmation of payment. can you check with those that have previously made the payment, so you would not have to wait for so long. If you can,then you just mail/call the school to confirm the payment via email,if possible, a scan copy of the receipt (or an electronic receipt) and print same for CDHC..

CDHC will take a scanned copy of the receipt; I used that.

effizypo: I just tracked now and here is what I saw: Your application has been assessed by the Canadian High Commission/Consulate General of Canada and is being returned to the centre where you applied. I guess its a refusal. Not quite sure what to do, to reapply or just forget it. Time is not on my side. Will head to VFS later today to collect my precious docs.

Take heart my brother. Repackage and correct the anomalies then reapply. God's time is the best.
