Nigeria does not need endless minimum wage hikes; it needs a stronger naira and a lower cost of living. Instead of constantly increasing wages to chase inflation, the government must control inflation itself. Higher wages without higher productivity and stronger economic output risk creating another cycle of rising prices and currency depreciation. Workers need purchasing power, not just bigger figures on their payslips.
