All is fair in Politics shouldn't be for underdeveloped countries that lack the fairness matre in Politics....

Inshort that statement should be investigated thoroughly because what it means is that whatever means I want to use to win elections, I should adopt it, whether it is to load money in bullion vans , or kidnap people or kill people, that all is fair in Politics...

We all should try to read in between lines before supporting any statement please ...
I just don't know why they are celebrating? You are so much on point👍🏾 So, what's the difference between Abacha and Tinubu?

You see that statement from Tinubu, it carries alot or weight and I'm very sure if was indirectly directed at some people
Is Tinubu under a democratic or autocratic government?

With your above statement, what now is the difference between democracy and autocracy? Or you people just decide to switch to any one that favours you at any moment?

Are you really interested in the development and growth of this country? This is 2026! How can Nigeria develop with this type of orientation?

The governor has tasked the EFCC to provide legal backing to their action. The onus now lies on EFFC to show they didn't carry out a lawless action.

EFCC has no legal standing to freeze any account without a valid court order according to the Supreme Court. So, let us all wait for their response.

Don't forget, all is fair in politics according to BAT.

There was no report that the 3 prosecuted & sentenced were arrested during the rescue operation in the forest. Read the charges brought against them again.

Kalulu44:
Ssssshhhhh! We were told on the day of rescue that some where neutralize and 8 capture.
It's only 3 that's been prosecuted now together with their two former commandants been held since last year.
.
So where are the other 5 and why are they giving them life imprisonment instead of execution straight.
Life imprisonment that after a year when Nigerians have forgotten they'll be releasing them one by one and no one will ask questions again.
Let them kill them on live TV and we'll start believing and taking govt seriously.
After all their crimes deserves capital punishment

Crime › The Oyo School Rescue: Two Accounts, One Incident by Lifediary(op):
The rescue of the Oyo schoolchildren and their teachers was a huge relief to Nigerians. We thank God they returned alive and commend the efforts of our security agencies in securing their freedom.

However, following the recent life sentences handed to three suspects and the testimony of one of the rescued teachers, Mr. Olatunde Zaccheaus, some important questions have emerged.

These are not accusations against the Federal Government or our security agencies. They are genuine questions that many Nigerians may be asking. A clear explanation will only strengthen public confidence and ensure that those responsible are fully held accountable.

The Federal Government stated that the victims were rescued through a multi-agency security operation. It also announced that eight suspects were arrested, some kidnappers were neutralised, and three suspects have now been sentenced to life imprisonment.

On the other hand, rescued teacher Mr. Olatunde Zaccheaus said the kidnappers informed them they were free, showed them the way out of the forest, and that the victims later encountered security personnel.

If both accounts are accurate, then Nigerians deserve a clearer picture of exactly what happened.

Here are the questions:

1. Did security forces physically rescue the hostages, or were the children and teachers released by the kidnappers before they encountered security personnel?

2. If the kidnappers released them, what led to that decision? Was it military pressure, intelligence gathering, negotiations, or something else?

3. Who were the eight suspects the government announced had been arrested?

4. Were the three men recently sentenced to life imprisonment among those eight suspects, or were they arrested separately?

5. Who were the kidnappers that physically held the children and teachers captive for 56 days? Have all of them been identified?

6. The government said some kidnappers were neutralised during the operation. Who were they, and have they been officially identified?

7. Nigerian security agencies have, on many previous occasions, released photographs and videos of successful operations, including recovered weapons, terrorist camps, and sometimes even neutralised terrorists or bandits. Why was no similar visual evidence released in this case?

8. Was the forest camp where the children and teachers were held located after the operation? If yes, why haven't any photographs or videos of the camp been released?

9. Were any weapons, motorcycles, communication devices, documents, food supplies, or other exhibits recovered from the camp? If yes, why haven't they been displayed to the public?

10. If some kidnappers were killed during the operation, where and when did that happen in relation to the release of the hostages?

11. Will the Federal Government release a detailed timeline of the entire operation—from the kidnapping, intelligence gathering, rescue, arrests, and prosecutions—to reconcile the official account with Mr. Olatunde Zaccheaus's testimony?

Again, these are not allegations. They are legitimate questions from Nigerians who want greater transparency in a case that captured the attention of the entire nation.

Providing more details—where doing so would not compromise national security or ongoing investigations—would help strengthen public confidence and also give due credit to the security personnel involved if the operation unfolded as officially described.

What do you think? Are these reasonable questions, or has the government already provided answers that many Nigerians may have missed?

Politics › Peter Obi To Isaac Fayose: "A Leader Must Listen, Learn And Admit Mistakes" by Lifediary(op): 8:05pm On Jul 18
During his recent visit to Isaac Fayose, Peter Obi made a statement that has generated a lot of discussion.

According to Obi, "A leader must listen, learn, and admit mistakes. If a leader believes he knows everything, then he shouldn't be leading. If you know everything, you are an idiot. A leader must always remain a learner."

He also reportedly told Isaac Fayose that whenever he notices him making a mistake, he should point it out so he can learn and improve.

Many people have praised the statement as a sign of humility and good leadership. Others argue that what matters most is whether leaders consistently put such principles into practice.

What do you think?

1. Do you agree that a good leader must always be willing to learn and admit mistakes?
2. Does Peter Obi's statement reflect the kind of leadership Nigeria needs?
3. Should leaders actively invite criticism from supporters and opponents alike?

Politics › Why Did Peter Obi Visit Isaac Fayose? by Lifediary(op):
Peter Obi's visit to Isaac Fayose has sparked a lot of debate.

The visit came after Isaac Fayose publicly complained that he supported Peter Obi during the 2023 presidential campaign, spent money promoting him, and even made his hotel available to Obidient supporters, yet Obi never reached out to appreciate him. Following those remarks, Obi reportedly contacted Fayose and later visited him at his home.

The visit has divided opinions. Some see it as an act of humility—a leader listening to criticism, acknowledging a supporter, and making amends. Others believe it was simply good politics, coming only after the issue became public.

What do you think? Was Peter Obi genuinely showing appreciation and correcting an oversight, or was he simply playing politics?

Nigerians are actually not asking the right question. The right question should be "how many shambolic offices like the above do we have budgetary allocations for yearly in this present administration"?

Why this has become an open scandal is because both parties involved fell off along the way.

Comment intelligently.

You will never see them talk about how gringory transformed Anambra in his 8 years as a governor. All they do is endless chants of how he is the messiah.

Ask them his past performance as a governor, they will rather insult you to your ancestors instead of simply telling you just one thing he did that makes him good.

Meanwhile, records has shown that he is the worst governor that ever existed right from pre-colonial era.
Do you believe Peter Obi left no debts after he finished his term as Anambra state governor?

Do you believe Bola Tinubu left debts after he finished as Lagos state governor?
Politics › Reforms Or Hardship? How Nigerians Are Paying The Price by Lifediary(op): 11:48pm On Oct 09, 2025
‎Reforms or Hardship? How Nigerians Are 💥 Nigerians Struggling Under “Reforms” — What’s Really Going On?
‎
‎Since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office, Nigeria has slashed subsidies — and not just in fuel, electricity, or education. Agriculture, transport, healthcare, and housing have all felt the cuts. The government presents this as bold economic reform designed to save money and stabilize the country’s finances.
‎
‎But the reality for everyday Nigerians paints a very different picture: these so-called reforms are hurting more than helping.
‎
‎
‎👀 What Nigerians Are Actually Experiencing
‎
‎Here’s how the cuts are hitting people:
‎
‎Agriculture: Fertilizers, seeds, and farm chemicals have become more expensive. Farmers pass these costs to consumers, which means groceries are pricier than ever. 🍚
‎
‎Transport: Subsidies for public transportation are gone. Bus and taxi fares have surged, making commuting a struggle for many families. 🚌
‎
‎Healthcare: Government support for clinics and hospitals has shrunk. Patients are paying more out-of-pocket, leaving low-income Nigerians struggling to access care. 💊
‎
‎Housing: Programs that once helped make housing affordable have been reduced. Rent and property costs are climbing, squeezing the middle and lower-income households. 🏘️
‎
‎So while officials talk about “reform,” millions of Nigerians are just trying to make it through each day.
‎
‎
‎🌍 How Other Countries Handle Subsidy Cuts
‎
‎Around the world, subsidy reductions happen — but not like this. Countries like the United States, the UK, and Canada approach it differently:
‎
‎United States: Cuts subsidies gradually and pairs them with programs like Medicaid and SNAP. Audits and oversight ensure funds are used properly.
‎
‎United Kingdom: Implements reforms with careful planning, clear reporting, and safety nets for the vulnerable.
‎
‎Canada: Phases out subsidies slowly, protecting low-income communities and ensuring energy remains affordable.
‎
‎
‎In these countries, transparency and accountability are central. Citizens know where the money goes, and safeguards exist to protect those most in need.
‎
‎
‎⚠️ Transparency and Corruption: Nigeria’s Weak Spot
‎
‎This is where Nigeria struggles:
‎
‎Unclear Accounting: Money saved from subsidy removals often disappears without explanation. Millions of naira go unaccounted for.
‎
‎Mismanaged Programs: Funds intended for social programs frequently get diverted, leaving the poor without the support they need.
‎
‎Poor Oversight: Weak audits and lack of independent checks let corruption continue unchecked, eroding public trust.
‎
‎
‎Without accountability, subsidy reforms end up hurting the people they’re supposed to help.
Politics › Real Impact Of Tinubu’s Economic Policies On Lagosians (1999–2007) by Lifediary(op):
‎🔥 Assessing the Real Impact of Tinubu’s Economic Policies on Lagosians (1999–2007) 🔥
‎
‎When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office as governor of Lagos State in 1999, the picture was bleak — dwindling revenue, crumbling roads, and poorly maintained public facilities. Few believed Lagos could rise above Nigeria’s harsh economic climate at the time. But over the next eight years, the state began to transform under his watch — visibly in some areas, unevenly in others. Tinubu’s administration focused on boosting internal revenue and modernizing infrastructure, leaving behind a legacy both praised and criticized.
‎
‎
‎👉 Economic Reform and Revenue Growth
‎
‎One of the most celebrated feats of Tinubu’s tenure was the sharp rise in Lagos’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). When he assumed office, the state reportedly earned about ₦14 billion annually. By 2007, that figure had soared to roughly ₦83 billion. The surge was the product of improved tax systems, tighter financial controls, and stronger fiscal management.
‎
‎This financial independence paid off when, in 2004, the federal government withheld local government allocations due to political disagreements. Lagos continued to pay workers and fund projects without federal aid — a rare display of financial resilience.
‎
‎Still, the revenue success came at a price. Traders, artisans, and small business owners complained about multiple taxes and the aggressive collection methods employed by tax officers. For many struggling citizens, the burden of levies eroded their small profits and deepened daily hardship.
‎
‎
‎👉 Infrastructure Drive and Uneven Progress
‎
‎Tinubu’s administration rolled out several road and urban development projects, especially in central districts. The Lekki–Epe Expressway, major drainage channels, streetlights, and early transportation reforms gave Lagos a facelift. Agencies like LAWMA were revived to improve waste management and sanitation.
‎
‎For residents of Ikeja, Lagos Island, and Surulere, the changes were visible — smoother roads, better traffic flow, rising property values. But on the outskirts — Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, and others — progress came slowly. Many roads remained impassable, and schools and hospitals were still underfunded. The development story, though loud, didn’t echo evenly across the state.
‎
‎
‎👉 The People’s Experience
‎
‎Tinubu’s economic policies did stimulate job creation, especially through construction and private-sector partnerships. Money circulated more freely, and Lagos cemented its reputation as Nigeria’s commercial heartbeat.
‎
‎However, the prosperity was uneven. Middle- and upper-income residents gained more from the expanding economy, while low-income earners struggled with rising taxes, rent, and transport costs. Public education and healthcare saw some improvement but still lagged behind population growth, leaving many Lagosians dependent on expensive private options.
‎
‎
‎👉 Borrowing and Transparency Concerns
‎
‎To finance large-scale projects, Lagos borrowed heavily during Tinubu’s administration. By 2007, the state’s debt had climbed to between ₦50 and ₦60 billion — moderate relative to its growing revenue base. Critics, however, accused the government of poor transparency, inflated contracts, and questionable spending priorities.
‎
‎Supporters countered that the loans were a strategic gamble — necessary for building the infrastructure that powers Lagos’s economy today. In their view, the short-term pain laid the foundation for long-term financial strength.
‎
‎
‎👉 Legacy and Public Perception
‎
‎Perhaps Tinubu’s most enduring legacy was the confidence he instilled in Lagos’s financial independence. The state’s revenue model became a blueprint for others across Nigeria. Successor administrations — Fashola, Ambode, and Sanwo-Olu — all built on the framework he established.
‎
‎Yet, not all Lagosians shared in that pride. For many, the supposed success story felt distant from everyday life. While elites and investors saw progress, the average citizen often experienced only higher living costs and tougher business conditions.
‎
‎
‎👉 Conclusion
‎
‎Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s years as governor marked a defining chapter in Lagos’s development journey. His administration revolutionized revenue collection, spurred urban renewal, and positioned Lagos as a financial powerhouse.
‎
‎But the gains were not evenly spread. The same policies that empowered the state also tightened economic pressure on ordinary citizens. Tinubu’s era was both transformative and unequal — a period of bold innovation shadowed by growing disparity.
‎
‎In the end, his economic legacy stands as a paradox: a model of fiscal reform that built a stronger Lagos, but not necessarily a fairer one.

Good evening, Mr. Martins. I hope you're doing well. Thank you for all your efforts. May God continue to strengthen you.

I expressed genuine interest in the blessing you have for teachers on the 2nd of this month. Initially, I thought I wouldn't be considered, but my hopes were rekindled on the 16th when you instructed me to resend my email. I was overjoyed and did so immediately. I've also sent follow-up emails as a reminder.

Your response, particularly mentioning that "the Holy Ghost told you to tell me to resend my email," significantly raised my hopes, as I had lost expectation of hearing from you. Please, sir, I would be grateful if you could include me among those you've blessed and will continue to bless. Thank you.
