Welcome back Mr President |
Nelfund palava and sakamaje Most Nigerian Universities have few or no hostels for the students. Most students rent accommodation outside school. The cost is rent has increased astronomically. The cost of transportation to and fro school has increased astronomically. The cost of feeding has increased astronomically. What will 20k monthly do? This is what is called logical reasoning and not shallow reasoning. Many Nigerians have lost the ability to be able to reason deeply and logically. The more reason why an incompetent government can get away with a lot of inadequacies. So, the funds for NELFUND is not sourced from the removal of petrol subsidy. Interesting. So, landlords now happy because the students have the so-called more money? So, the traders are now happy because students have more money? What can 20,000 naira buy now for a student monthly?... After factoring the high cost of rent, transportation and feeding? Nigerians love being slaves when they should be royalty. Who will tell them? |
Welcome back Mr President! The slayer of democracy! |
Tinubu has buried democracy |
Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stirred reactions online after stating that fuel subsidy could return if corruption and leakages in government are properly addressed. Speaking in Sokoto, Obi said the challenge was not just about subsidy removal but also about how the money meant for public services is managed. He explained that reducing corruption would create room for government to provide more support to Nigerians. According to reports, Obi said: "By removing the corruption, I assure you that we will bring back subsidy." The statement has sparked debate among Nigerians. Some Nigerians believe bringing back subsidy would help reduce the pressure of high petrol prices on citizens and businesses. Others argue that subsidy has historically been difficult to manage because of issues such as corruption, fake claims, and the financial burden on government. Nigeria removed petrol subsidy in 2023, causing petrol prices to rise and increasing discussions about the best approach to energy pricing and economic relief. The big question remains: If corruption is reduced, should Nigeria bring back petrol subsidy or focus on other ways to make fuel more affordable? Drop your thoughts.

Is this the democracy they claimed they fought for in the trenches? How can the president of a sovereign nation be governing from the shores of another country when he is not on exile? Daniel Bwala say na "WORKATION"😆 |
How many ambulances do the FG hospitals have again? If not for greed and wickedness, campaigning by a government in power isn't meant to be this desperate. Your doings alone will make the people beg for you to come back. They will not need microscope to start looking for what you have done for them. You will not need to start mandating some people and agencies to tell Nigerians what you have done. No sweat from you. Imagine health care sector has all these? Just imagine? Why will Nigeria's debt not increase astronomically? The 75,000 naira to 10 million ghost people still comes to mind. |
If only incompetence was a person. Are these people preaching to Nigerians? A baby in the womb is fully aware of these information? The question is: WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? The vow the EFCC chairman made concerning Yahaya Bello is the very fresh in our minds. |
Subsidy is gone, Debts are increasing astronomically. What do you expect when you have kakistocrats, charlatans, mediocres, penrobbers, greedy and wicked people governing a country? |
Just like the way the President of France is also governing his country anywhere because of digitalisation. Oyinbo sef wey bring digitalization never do reach near this one. It is the du.mb and si.lly Nigerians that continue supporting these shameless people in government that encourages their audacity to do this. |
This is the fraud some never-wi.ll-do-well-people are supporting? What is the meaning of this👉🏾 "climate resilience, social protection and early childhood development" in this same Nigeria? A Nigeria where 75,000 naira was transferred to 10 million people who have no phones, phone numbers and bank accounts. Another 1.5 billion dollars already down into their pockets again with no accountability. |
President of Nigeria is currently on a working vacation in France as their acting president pending the return of Macron from UNGA. It is called "Workation" according to Daniel Bwala😁 |
Nigeria my country! What happens to his corruption case now? You guessed right😉 |
Who were the fraudsters? What is EFFCC and ICPC doing about them? What is the FG doing about them? Please, enough of all these kindergarten talks! CORRUPTION is the order of the day in Nigeria. These people in government don't buy anything with their own personal finances. Nigerians fund their expensive and luxurious lifestyle... Yet, these hungry Nigerians still worship them like slaves. It is so disheartening. |
Why was TINUBU against the removal of subsidy during Jonathan's government? What was he thinking then? What changed? Why did TINUBU promise Nigerians he was going to reduce the price of petrol during his campaign prior to 2023 elections? Was is just politics as usual? How many corrupt people that defrauded Nigeria via petrol subsidy has this government arrested and prosecuted? Will you throw away the baby with the bath water because it is too hot? Will you cut off the head because you have headache? Why must ordinary Nigerians be the ones to sacrifice for the corruption of the elites? Fayemi said their protest against subsidy removal during Jonathan's government was all politics |
APC has begun a bad precedence for this country. They have taken Nigeria back to it's primitive and dark days. What is the future of this country? Nigeria in 2026 is meant to be a beacon that even the western world are meant to be jealous of. Just look at those in government and you will know Nigeria needs revival. |
Please, what is working vacation? APC has bastardised English language gaan. The pattern started right from late Buhari's government and has been worsened by this present government. What a bad precedence for the future. How many Presidents in Africa go for vacation this long outside the continent? Mind you, this is on tax-payers funds and they are telling Nigerians it is none of their business. Is this not dictatorship? |
Nigeria has a national oil company, so why hasn't it generated benefits comparable to Saudi Aramco?... CORRUPTION! Mediocres are celebrating Dangote. Nigeria has not created the governance and accountability mechanisms necessary to make a our state-owned oil company (NNPCL) operate like a serious commercial enterprise. Nigeria has not been able to make NNPCL operate with the commercial discipline, transparency and efficiency necessary to convert enormous oil resources into comparable national wealth? WHY?... CORRUPTION on the part of the government. Charlatans are celebrating a private, capitalist business. Smh! |
Celebrating a signing ceremony is not wealth; actual mines, factories, jobs, and revenue are the proof. *Signing this agreement is just a promise or plan. *Where the value begins is the mines: discovery, building of mines, extraction of solid minerals, processing/refining them, and manufacturing products. *Factories and processing plants are the real test: Processing plants built in Nigeria, Gold refining facilities, Iron ore converted into steel products, etc., Nigerian engineers and workers trained, Local companies supplying services, and Communities receiving economic benefits. *The final proof is Revenue. GBAM! Due to the history our government has, don't judge the success of the deal by the ceremony or the headlines. Judge it by what is physically built and what Nigerians actually gain. A similar example is how our crude oil reserves has not had any positive impact on majority of Nigerians... just a select few. The wealth comes when wells are drilled, refineries operate, workers are employed, revenue is collected and the lives of the citizens are impacted positively. |
Have people not been farming & buying tomatoes, onions, etc before this present Party in government came in? Why then are we having a pandemic of rot in almost all the areas in this country? Almost all edibles and consumables have become unhealthy! Truly, a fish rots from the head down! |
Which of these 3 presidents is resting in another man's country? It is really hard to defend this president and government without sounding stu.pid. If not for shameless, a president of France is in the US for UNGA, while Nigeria's president is keeping watch of France pending his return. What is the relationship between the absence of the presidents of South Africa and Egypt with that of the president of Nigeria? |
The rate of IQ depreciation in Nigeria is alarming! I never imagined Nigeria could get this deep in the abyss. It actually doesn't need much IQ to be able to know that the current value of naira is nothing to be proud of. So, when you hear FAAC has increased by ...%, it should be general knowledge that it is just the value on paper and not the paper. A lazy governor that spent 4,500 naira on a bag of cement in 2022, will be spending 15,000 naira on a bag of cement in 2026... this is not rocket science now! So, when I see celebration about the increased FAAC, I just smh. The government prefer zombies. You can see propaganda flying everywhere. Well, I am not disappointed though! |
Nigerians truly have short memory. This is why charlatans, mediocres and kakistocrats will keep on ruling. This present president promised Nigerians that the price of PMS would be reduced during his campaigns prior to 2023 presidential election... I believe we Nigerians with retentive memory can still remember how much 1 litre of petrol was sold then. ...3 years after, the above in this topic of discussion is where we are now. Was the president unaware of his promise which he verbally made to Nigerians then, OR, was it just politics as usual to deceive Nigerians? Please, who & where is the minister for petroleum? What has been the positive impact of the minister since the inception of this administration? Where is the promise of our own public refinery?... not the jamboree around a private-owned refinery? How long are Nigerians meant to keep up with these intense suffering in the midst of plenty? |
These are the people who steer the direction of Nigeria. This is really a government of the EMILOKAN, by the EMILOKAN, and for the EMILOKAN. The precedence being set by this present government and it's party has taken Nigeria really backwards. All the gains made by Nigeria's heroes past has been completely demolished. How do you expect a whole so-called Giant of Africa to grow and develop with these bunch of people in power? Imagine a whole Nigeria of over 200 million people, blessed with huge natural and human resources being run by kakistocrats, mediocres, charlatans, and the worst a society can ever dream of. What is the future of Nigeria? |
You people are always filled with excuses for failure Are they the ones that sw.ea.red for you people not to produce enough crude oil? Are they the ones that sw.ea.red for you people with corruption baptism Are they the ones that sw.ea.red for you not to diversify your economy Plea..se!!! nairalanda1: |
My convo with chatgpt about our present petrol price increase predicament👇🏾 MY QUESTION: Are other oil-producing countries experiencing the same astronomical petrol-price increase Nigerians are experiencing? CHATGPT'S RESPONSE: No—not generally. The Gulf producers have suffered enormous economic losses from the war and disruptions to their oil exports, but many have shielded their domestic motorists from the full international price shock. Nigeria has passed much more of the shock through to the pump. And that's why comparing Nigeria's petrol price with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE is much more revealing than simply saying, "Crude oil is expensive everywhere. If you don't get it, forget about it! |

The desperation with which some people, both online and offline, defend this present government's glaring inadequacies is enough to make you wonder what exactly they are defending. This government is intellectually bankrupt—IQ like that of a starfish. No substance, no convincing ideas, no meaningful solutions… just noise, excuses, and empty rhetoric. Nigeria has got to the stage that abnormalities have become normal because those that are meant to normalise it are busy displaying abnormal tendencies. ...Mind you, just for their own greedy and selfish purposes. It is well with Nigeria🙏 |
When you live in a glass house, try as much as possible not to throw stones. The legacy of Dimeji Bankole is a story for another day. |
The controversy surrounding the Charismatic Bishops’ endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election has taken another interesting turn. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, the President of the Charismatic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria, Bishop Leonard Kawas, was questioned about whether the group’s support for Tinubu was connected to financial benefits or political appointments. Kawas insisted that the bishops had not received money from Tinubu for their endorsement. He also pointed out that the group supported Peter Obi during the 2023 election without receiving financial payment from him. However, when asked whether the bishops would accept financial support from the Tinubu administration if it was offered in the future, Kawas gave a striking response: “When that time comes, we will pray about it. And whatever the Lord leads us to do is what we will do.” His comment has generated discussion online, particularly because the bishops have publicly endorsed Tinubu while also calling on the administration to empower religious leaders to help reach Nigerians at the grassroots. Kawas maintains that the endorsement was based on the group's assessment of Tinubu's administration, rather than money. But what do you make of his statement: “When that time comes, we will pray about it”? Is it simply a statement about accepting legitimate support, or does it raise questions about the relationship between religious leaders, politics and government?
