owobokiri: Loquacious Umeahi.., very arrogant.., highly opionated. Because he is some sort of armchair engineer, he thinks he can bully everyone who dares to ask basic questions about his ministry.
The man is a case. This was the same guy who as the Chairman of South East Governors forum, continued to wail about the marginalisation of his Ebonyi state! I mean, you are the chairman of the governors forum, the longest in that position, you set the agenda, you chair the meetings, you read out the communiques. The south-east does not have a regional budget.
The whole allocations to the states are done straight from Abuja by the APC government, into each states private accounts. No state shares resources with you or directs you on your states policies. Essentially , you are the Oga Kpatakpata of your state. But because you want to inject divisions so you can ingratiate yourself to the folks in Abuja, you had to cry wolf and make your colleagues look bad...
Very anyhow character that talks before he thinks... But he's a performer. I like his style and decisiveness. He revoked RCC and Julius Berger contracts for poor performance. I like him. A very good Presidential material |

TimeManager: It seems we are forgetting a very important part of this whole process. The President did not singlehandedly approve the pardon. A Presidential committee was inaugurated from across the spectrum and they came up with recommendations which were submitted to the council of state for approval. Unfortunately, some people read only to comment and get likes but not to understand for future reference. This goes to show the level of our educational systems, producing graduates who are quick to talk but slow to understanding.
-Kiss the truth! He takes the overall responsibility, He gave the final approval. He's responsible and we must hold him accountable. |

Brendaniel: I have answered your question, why are other sectors aside construction failing under Wike, from teachers going on strike, to lack of water, insecurity, armed robbery, kidnapping and terrorism and so?
Doesn't it tell you something that he is only focusing on where he will benefit from.... And if the roads are bad, you will still complain. So its practically impossible to finish all the problems at a go, if he can sort out roads, he will move next to other social infrastructure. The point is that Abuja is changing for the better under Wike, I dont like his personality, but i like his works |

anyilalaz: Very true as an engineer and professional in my own field, I can answer such question no big deal. I simply start by schooling Rufia by telling him that alot of dynamics comes to play in costing per kilometre such as the ecological factors: land, swamp, rivers, estuaries, etc, social factors: cost of settlement and resettlement, of communities alone this corridor of coastal road, disruption and management of traffic in areas with preexisting traffics, etc. After speaking on this and other costs that constitute the total cost for coastal and by extension in kilometre then I will tell Rufia that averagely on solid land with good load capacity this is the amount, on swampy areas that need to excavated and sand filled this is the average cost and so on and so forth. Then finally I will then tell him that the contract is a living document that can always be reviewed for technical, political, economic reasons for example the coastal road is having an extension or detours to in Edo State see link https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/lagos-calabar-coastal-highway-tinubu-approves-100-km-extension-through-edo/amp/). So my friend, a public servant must act as one. He has the responsibility to answer to the people who's taxes and common wealth are used for such project and paying of his salary through the journalist or the press men. No be him papa work.
We should stop celebrating mediocrity.
Note: Don't mind my typo and other error, just multitasking with 5% attention on this comment My Brother did watch the interview, that was exactly what Umahi was trying to explain and Rufai will not have any of such, insisting Umahi should just state the cost per Kilometer i. e divide the total project costs by the number of the kilometer and Umahi said that is wrong. That was the whole problem. Umahi then told him as an experienced Engineer, he cant go that way |

You will do far worse than Umehi if given a chance to be a Minister, you will even tell all reporters that they should go on their knees before asking you questions like school children because you have made yourself an unquestionable emperor. descarado: Go and study journalism and charisma. Maybe when you qualify, you will be in a position to ask journalist how to ask key questions everbody want answers to.
A public servant should work with humility. Journalists ask the most annoying questions. If the minister is smart, he can tactically evade the answer. They have pr that tea has the. How to answer questions. This is nigeria where professionalism does not count. A BBC journalist will ask him that and more. For every interview, there is what matters. For that interview, that is what matters and the minister owe Nigerians explanations. Money do not erase low self esteem. That iwas what was ate that man up Maybe you first advise Oseni to go an study journalism as his quackery is getting more obvious. Ask all the questions you want, but respect you guests simple. Oh, maybe you need to watch how journalists who doesn't manage themselves are handled by Donald Trump. So, yes they can ask all the questions but they are not all knowing |

Racoon: My friend Dave Umahi by accepting to be a minister has became a public servant or figure that is subject to public scrutiny. Stop defending irresponsible civil servants who thinks they are gods on their high horses. Absolutely agree with you Bro that public officers must be held accountable, however did Oseni achieve that on how he handled that program. He simply played to the gallery. Umahi didn't refuse to answer Rufai questions, but Rufai want the Minister to answer the question in the manner that suits the narrative he want push out there. Umahi didn't fall for that trap and why should he? |

1.Oseni just gain More recognition as a slaying journalist , Rufai he says it like Nigerians would have say it
2. Oseni gained what millions of Nigerians are not privileged to have, hold public servants accountable
if i was Oseni i would be glowing seeing how i made the Minister so uncomfortable even in his office, naa small e remain he for ask for hand fan 🤣
He did allow Umahi talk, was Umahi really talking abi e wan tryin to show he is bigger, i am a professor cumma learn , you know nothing you are to small did that one come on Air to talk abi to fight You see yourself behaving like Oseni, you dont know me and should not make assumptions. You are a Professor in you area of Research, you cant be all knowing as Oseni is making himself to learn. Oseni gained no information for his viewers on that program, he failed woefully.
