If u can handle the chaos, Lagos should b the place because of the ready market. In terms of order, serenity, Abuja, is more like an organised society; you will still get good clientele and it might suit you better since you're coming from awayz. If you live abroad, you cannot even begin to appreciate the constraints you face in the Nigerian, and in particular Lagos business environment. My younger sister came home, soaked at about 4am. She said people were fainting, although the medical services was on hand to assist. Lots of gist in church yesterday about the event. The rain also led to flash floods and many cars stalled on their way home around Law School and some parts of Ozumba Mbadiwe before Mobil/Sandfield, which meant double jeorpardy for the attendess. Indeed an experience not to be forgotten! ![]() I don't normally do crowds, so not even wild horses could have dragged me there. |

There are a lot of reasons and I can't begin to go into all of them right now, but would agree with what dnative said about properties being handed down to 2nd, 3rd and 4th parties etc etc. Also, there's the issue of time for those of us who work for ourselves. Then there's the internet connection. I remember trying to assist a friend who's into autos at some point to put up pictures in the auto's section. I tried for over two weeks to upload basic jpeg files. I got frustrated and gave up. Nevertheless, this is a challenge and some of us will be taking it up promptly. Good observation again, lawyer. |

@damiso, will be expecting your friend's call and if they are up to it, we can go for site inspection which is done every Saturday at 10am. The site should be completely cleared before the end of the month and perimeter fencing is also taking place simultaneously. A lot of people think because an advert is found in Castle, it makes a transaction fraud proof. I hope more people learn their lessons from your warnings. What about the guy's friend who carried out the transaction on his behalf? |
@smoothop, I don't have 2 bed apartments right now. What I have is a 3 bedroom off Ligali Ayorinde which is partly furnished and serviced to let and it doesn't come cheap. It would help to know your budget, then maybe I can ask a few friends. In Oniru, you can find 2 bedroom bungalows for N500k pa to let. Would you like such? |

@ abujabooks, I don't know of any 3 bedroom bungalows. The flats we have to let start at N350k per annum. Land starts from N1.5m depending on the location and whether it's dry land or waterlogged. For a good plot on dry land, you are looking at from N2.5m upwards. |
