Seems u are almost there since dey didn't mention any insufficient fund. Guess you need an strong overriding SOP to erase any doubt regarding your intended course of study. Dnt think u need demonstrate any ties in Canada but home loladeoye: Travel history, purpose of visit and family ties in canada and country of residence. |

I think ur tuition and duration of study matters here. For example if you going for a year program I guess d money ur brother is availing u plus ur personal is enough. If this is the case there may be no need to say u gonna be living with him except if ur tuition is very high. favour0011: thats pretty much my situation... my sponsor is writing that he'll be availing 4m naira for my tuition and expenses and i have 1m in my personal SOA and i'll be living with my bro whos home is very close to my sch. so dnt you think stating this in my sop will make convince the vo that the funds i have available will be sufficient. what do you think guys?? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by lightdotcom: 5:46pm On Jul 01, 2015 |
Na waoh. That balance was too small, it shd at least cover ur tuition n living expenses. Nevertheless that can suffice for an MSc in naija ferdimako: You get mind... N350K not even in ur acct but ur sponsor's. This one was a gift to the Canadian govt and pple.
Do the needful..abeg ... kai kai kai. |

Don't think you are correct. It's a way of convincing the VO that your accommodation is sorted out already. Maybe helpful if you are coming up with a shaking SOA SeraSera: You're not required to discuss your housing arrangements during the application process. Why even bring it up?? You may just be complicating an otherwise simple application. I'm not sure what circumstances warrant this disclosure, but I would do my best to leave it out if I were you. I'm sorry if this is intrusive or besides the point. I actually do not have an answer to your question. |

Our corrupt and kangaroo system is our problems. Nigeria is not a lesser country. We have all the natural endowments here. If you talk Nigeria down in your sop for a mere visa it means you don't know the enomous wealth n potentials in this nation. Look what we need is good n credible govt in nigeria. God bless both countries
I just thought to say this on the floor of the house. So people can learn while drafting their SOPs.
I have noticed that people try to paint Nigeria as a lesser country than Canada, by stating that Nigeria has a poor standard of living and education, the country is this and that, bla, bla, bla.
Please even though we all know the state of things in Nigeria, it is not wise to state it in your SOP. It is fine to paint Canada as the best place to study and all the good stuff as a reason for your choice, but leave it at that. We all know that Nigeria has issues and the VOs know it. But don't let it come from you.
Most times we wonder why some of us are denied because of "Home tie", but it might be more than having assets or a family back in Nigeria, your perception about your country matters a lot. Westerners love PATRIOTISM to the core!
If I were a VO, and you tell me bad things about your country in your SOP, I will deny you based on home tie, even though you have assets and family, because as far as I am concerned, why will you want to come back to a country that you think is poor in everything??
My advice is, when stating the reasons for choosing Canada just stop at raining down praises on Canada's economy and standard of education. NEVER say ill about Nigeria....[/quote] |

Why now? All these brouhaha should have been taken care of before the elections. oduastates: Nothing is wrong with Sahara reporters . You might want to check yourself. This is a matter of public interest. The rules are the rules . You cannot carry a foreign passport and govern a sovereign state. This has been a recurring Nigerian constitutional provision. |

Not so. Listen this is how it goes CIC expects you to have Your tuition + 10,000CAD. The 10,000CAD is expected to cover your Accom, living cost plus miscellaneous. Others is optional not mandatory. darefestus: Hello,
Your abswer is quiet straightforward, In the funds available for your stay section: Your Tuition for a year + CIC estimated 10,000CAD + Others, say, 9,000CAD = 35,600CAD
Which is still within the sum total of both accounts.
Remember to put the Value in dollars, so 35,600 shldnt be written as 5,670,000.
Goodluck. |

Great talk! That statement simply means I am for the masses and cannot be controlled by any individual or groups of individuals. Hope is here for the ordinary Nigerians, NO to dirty godfatherism. This is time to build strong formidable institions in the country. Time has come where the citizenry rich or poor will be equal before the law. NO sacred cows |
