overlord77:Nigeria is a jungle so we are all involved. So please stop acting like na una holy pass. |
Momo13:thanks for the feedback. |
Momo13:John Stroger Cook County and St Francis hospital in Chicago any Nigerian reviews? |
Chanbaby:Stop acting like you holy pass!...you want to say you’ve never asked a questions on this forum? Common. |
overlord77:FYI before you conclude and say “go and google”. I have checked out some hospitals John Stroger Cook County and St Francis hospital in Chicago. By the way im not a “ma”. I’m doing the research on behalf of my wife. People share their experience here to help each other. So if you used a hospital and the service was bad you will notify people to avoid hospitals like that. If the service was good you will also advise. So I don’t see anything bad asking a question about hospitals in Chicago as a bad thing. |
chibertha:Is it a bad to ask a question about the hospitals from the experience of nairalanders. FYI i have a few i have googled and i read the reviews which are not very good....Those with experience can advise. If you don’t have an answer to that then don’t bother answering. |
Hi nairalanders, I’m happy to stumble a thread like this. I have read a few on the thread and it has answered a few questions I have. But i still have some. So I have family members in Chicago and Maryland. I would like to ask, how do I check for hospitals in both Chicago and Maryland. “ if anyone knows any hospital in Chicago or Maryland and the average cost” I’ll appreciate please. Thank you. |

lighthousearc:Finally my folks got an email from LagosNIV and got their passport with Visas. Any one having this issues should keep sending emails to LagosNIV@state.gov and also keep calling the embassy customer service to follow up your email. Don’t goto the embassy because no one will listen to you and you won’t be allowed to enter. thanks once again. |
hajidel:ok thanks |
Mizwisdom:It's very disappointing. |
hajidel:They have been to the US Embassy and DHL 2 times, drove long distance to be told to send an email to "LagosNIV@state.gov" after sending several emails still no responds, they are going back there again tomorrow. It's really frustrating. I just feel bad for them to be going through all this stress at their age. |
Mizwisdom:It's really tiring, I have been waiting for response for over 2 weeks, i have called the US embassy over and over. I am not currently in Nigeria and my parents are too old to be going back and forth to the embassy. |
yungbilli: Hi everyone. My visa was issued but i wasn't notified by DHL collection center in VI....I was there few days go and was told my passport has been returned back to he embassy. I tracked my passport and it reads "Your passport has been returned to post"...I have sent lot of messages to LagosNiv@state.gov and called the embassy. No response yet. Please anyone experienced this issue and is there a possibility my visa will be revoked? Not everyone has an experience with the US Visa just following protocols. In regards to this yungbilli's complain....my parent are also facing the same issue. They are senior citizen who have little knowledge of traveling since Sept of their passport been issues. DHL didn't notify them. Now their passport has been returned back to the US embassy....They called, emailed and went to the US embassy in Lagos several times they keep telling them send an email and wait for a notification for over 2 weeks now. no response. |

Bettymi:like i told you it's a business school. So what program are you looking for? |
Bettymi:I don't understand your question. "Without the need of A levels".... Most private universities accept Waec, Neco also Waec Gce. I am just hearing for the first time that a university in Malaysia needs A-levels and not Bsc. If you are looking for a cheap University for Bsc you can goto UPM or other public University, but if you are looking for cheap private universities they're few but their courses are limited and they only require Waec, Neco also Waec Gce.... Ftms is good another cheap university is Westminster (London School of Commerce) it's a business school. They only have Business courses. Tuition for the 3 years is £5950 apart from Rm4500 (Visa fees and bond deposit). Students have their 2 years in Malaysia and their final year in London. I did my MBA in this College and currently enrolling my brother here too, so i'm 100 about this school. www.westminster.edu.my for further information. cheers |
Bettymi:It’s a good school but private, they moved from KL to cyberjaya...Their certificates are from UK both degree and Masters, though it’s expensive...they’re accredited with ministry of education in Malaysia and EMGS. So it’s between good - average. |
shams040:there's an ideology about no job for Nigerians which is very true. But there are and it's limited. If you attend educational fare you can mix up and get connected. Not everyone in Malaysia are here to study. I work as an HR with Cinga in KL and i have a few people in Taylor University who didn't get jobs here but in Singapore and South Korea...it's easier for me because i can speak malay and with the reference of a professor. They don't like blacks especially Nigerians, some will give you jobs of rm9 per/hr in KL convention center. I'll just say study get your certificate and move to Canada or better countries that will appreciate you. I don't know about other Universities but my uni every graduation some delegate from the Nigerian embassy come over to meet with Nigerian graduates. Cheers |
kevincal144:Your opinion bro. I guess you are new to Malaysia this is not Nigeria. So welcome on board...it's just an advise for student. There are private university and there are private university too...it's all about levels. To make comparison amongst universities varies. |
I see from the thread a lot of people are having issues with public universities. Why don’t you try accredited private universities or colleges. They do most of the application for you and admission is out in few days and some that same day. Though tuition is a bit expensive but some are very cheap. For example i did my Masters (course work) in Westminster international college (Cardiff Metropolitan University Uk certificate) it took me 1yr (MBA). Tuition is about Rm21,000 as at 2016 and I got a refund of Rm2000 after I graduated After graduation I’m currently running my PHD in Limkokwing University. Tuition RM13,900 excluding miscellaneous charges. In summary, if you can afford a private university please apply for a private uni it will save you the stress of EMGS process and so on. Also do your research well not all private universities are recognized abroad. So be mindful. Cheers |
seyewest:thanks bruh |
kevincal144:I know the University good school tho. My brother just got admission in Westminster, he's also processing his documents for VAL application. I just hope the NDLEA wahala won't delay him |
kevincal144:Congrats Kevin, i would like to ask how long your VAL too to get approved and which university are you studying? Thanks |
Bettymi:Westminster International College |
t Orofun1:thanks bro, Is it ok to take along a photocopy of the WAEC result to be able to apply for the NOC. Because currently the applicant is not in Abuja and i plan to ask someone in Abuja to goto ministry of education on his behalf. |
