Why does my younger sister want to kill me? We had a fight this morning, and she went ballistic again. I had to rush to the neighbors house to hide for the time being, and I haven't returned home. My younger sister detests me to no end. Even my parents are scared of her, but I have never seen her go violent with them or my siblings, but only me. I don't know what I did to deserve so much hate from her; she hates seeing me. I went home yesterday because we are currently on break at school. Typically, I don't go home because I know the kind of demon waiting for me at home. I'm always careful around her because anything could set her off. I'm really afraid of her. She has attempted to kill me before, but she failed. I know she will try it again.

I recall she never showed up to even check on me when I was seriously ill and on the verge of death in the hospital. I could see the disappointment on her face when I returned home after being released from the hospital. She didn't even look at my side, much less stand up to hug me as my other siblings rushed to give me a hug and some even gave me a peck.
I once slapped her during a fight we had. My sister hurried into the kitchen to get a knife. Without hesitation, I knew that if I waited for her, she would stab me, possibly killing me, so I hurried to the bathroom and closed the door from inside. My attempts to understand why she always treats me violently have been ineffective. I have periodically pleaded with her for us to be at peace. She continuously claims that I will change, but nothing has ever changed!

I'm beyond frustrated. Due to a medical problem I have, I normally cannot defend myself. I have no chance of defeating her because of how strong she is. She is in charge in the home. My parents are doing nothing to stop this vicious brat, What can I do, please? I'm 22; she is 19.

Without a doubt, the northerners will embrace this new law, simply because they respect themselves and also have fondness for where they’re from…same goes with the Yorubas. I’m also very certain that the igbos and all others in the country will accept this law.

This should be one of the things the new administration should focus on. Yes, we are all one, but this new law will give all Nigerian citizens a sense of attachment, inclusion, and kinship. It will also protect various heritage all across the country.

Something tells me that this law will be passed and enforced very soon.

So last year I decided to revisit freelancing because I am a gifted writer and been writing for many years so why not use it to make money?

So I registered on a freelancing site and the journey began.

Making money is never the problem if you are a freelancer, the problem is how much time can you give to the job.
The job was just too much that i had to employ many nairalanders to work for me.
At a point I was earning $900 per week (i could earn much more than this but where is the time to do more work?) but the work was just too much. So much that i moved to an hotel for several months just so that i can focus and have the hotel staff attend to all my needs so I dont have to do any work except my writing job.

This is a job that would make you want to go mad. You will work mornimg and night as if you have no life. Forget social life, all you will be after is to meet deadlines.

People will think you are a yahoo boy because you dont go to an office and you are always on your laptop. They also see that you dont have problem with money. To make it worse you are always going to bank to collect dollars and take to aboki.

I shake my head when i see nigerians complaining that there is no work. There is work but most people cannot work. That is just the truth.

If you know you can make these sacrifices then you should consider freelancing so far you have the skills for the jobs you want to apply for.

There are some factories in Nigeria that still pay Labourers about #900 for a 7-7 shift

Some Industry pass less than #900 sef.

Person wey do two shift will only be earning 1800 for working for 24hrs.

Some factories also pay more than #1000 sha

The Government should also make it a crime for people to work from 7-7 in factories

Can you imagine a company like PZ paying her Labourers about #1700 for a 7-7 shift.

The real problem is the value of the Naira and prices...
