The Zone 2 Police Command has arraigned 42-year-old James Onuoha at an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

It was reported that the suspect, who was an engineer with ExxonMobil, visited the victim’s guardian, entered the room and engaged the 14-year-old in a conversation after which he allegedly raped her along the line.

The matter was reported at the Lamgbasa Police Division before it was transferred to the Zone 2 Police Command and he was arraigned on Thursday.

Adoration Ministry in Enugu state has called on security agents to see as prime suspects those who criticize the recent prophecy of its spiritual leader, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, on a plot to assassinate President Muhammadu Buhari.

Daily Sun reports that the ministry made the call in a statement issued by its media chief, Ike Maximus Ugwuoke, on Tuesday, January 12, in Enugu.

The spokesman wondered why those who he described as “democratic miscreants” are not perturbed by the other prophecies made by Mbaka except the plot to kill Buhari.

“Are they guilty or privy to the plot which the man of God had exposed? The laborious manner with which they attacked the prophetic message in an attempt to filibuster and water it down betrays their innocence on this issue and this should make them prime suspects in the list of the nation’s intelligence security surveillance,” he said.

The ministry made a statement reacting to a human rights group which threatened to drag the prophet to Pope Francis, if the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria failed to sanction him and stop from actively associating with politicians.

“Section 38(1) respects universal right to freedom of religion and to manifest and propagate same either or in community with others in public or private just as it guarantees freedom of expression in Section 39.

“If the Constitution which gave every citizen of this country the right to worship did not prohibit him from declaring the message he receives from the God he worships, we then wonder why a priest of God and a citizen of this country should be threatened for exercising his constitutional right.

“A situation where the fundamental human rights which is the tenet of the ideals of democracy is bastardised by an acclaimed human rights group that is meant to protect same is indeed worrisome and makes mockery of the nomenclature,” Ugwuoke said.

According to the ministry, the threat against Mbaka can only come “from a colossus of political agents of destabilization, and rabble-rousers masquerading as an NGO and a pro-democracy group.”

Ugwuoke called on the group to withdraw the threat or it would face the legal consequence.

“We know of the utterances by many leaders of different churches at the beginning of this year who in exercise of their religious freedom predicted so many things such as plane crash, bank robbery, bank collapse, natural disasters etc, no one threatened to sanction them. The question is; why should Fr Mbaka’s prophecy always attract venomous criticism by some Nigerian, especially by the so-called Christians who will never talk about the manifest miracles of God through him and his consummate charitable life?

“Was the fulfillment of his prophecy of President Buhari’s victory last year which earned him and the ministry the highest media attack ever not yet enough lesson to Nigerians that Fr Mbaka is indeed a prophet of God and a gift to this nation?” he wondered.

Ugwuoke recalled that last year when Mbaka predicted the defeat of former president Goodluck Jonathan, many Nigerians branded him a false prophet and clamoured for his sanction.

“Now that the prophecy came true with Buhari’s victory, why shouldn’t the acclaimed sanctions be meted to those clergies whom the manifestation of Fr Mbaka’s prophecy has proved to be the real false prophets?
“No one seems to think about this. It is unfortunate that some men of God and so-called Christians either for lack of prayer points or out of chronic envy and jealously now make ‘Fr Mbaka’ the topic for exhortation in their gatherings. This also explains why the recent speculations on his transfer has taken the place of sermon in some churches and even made national news headline even when there is no official communication of such,” he said.

Speaking about Buhari, Ugwuoke stressed that the all members of the ministry love the president and his life means much to them.

“Besides Fr Mbaka’s prophecy of the plans of the enemies against him, no good thinking citizen of this country would believe that the victims of Mr President’s war against corruption would be smiling at him. That is why we should not relent in praying for Mr President and will never spare any one or group of persons that may want to distract Fr Mbaka and his commitment to the spiritual welfare of this nation.”

Meanwhile, there are indications that Father Mbaka may be transferred out of his station, Christ the King Parish in GRA, Enugu state.

Reliable sources said that the decision to remove the prophet was aimed at affecting other priests in an attempt to make it look like a routine church affair.

Now hear this ugly part, when I started blogging, I was discouraged by the same people I thought would support me, there is this particular word that keeps ringing in my head even till this moment, the person closest to me will always respond "you are not an authority yet, why would I visit your blog" each time I asked him whether he visited my blog today. In-fact some of my close friends just got to know of my blog URL after I gave away some money on Facebook during my birthday

Now see, those words up there are enough to make someone commit suicide but instead of it discouraging me, they made me stronger. The desire to succeed and proove them wrong grew stronger and today, I am very happy of the person I have become. I may not have arrived but I am surely getting there.

Tears flowed freely in Nnewi, Nnewi North local government area of Anambra state as over 100 people perish in Chikason Group Gas plant explosion

Several buildings, over 50 vehicles and motorcycles were burnt beyond recognition.....

The Christmas eve fire disaster at Inter Corp Oil limited(LPG Gas Plant) a member of Chikason Group started at about 11am and was caused by an explosion that occurred when a truck was making an attempt to discharge its contents without waiting for the mandatory cooling time while customers were said to be refilling at the same time.

Customers, passers bye and neighbours were all burnt to ashes even as the remains of victims and other badly affected burnt persons were taken to Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital(NAUTH), Nnewi .

Hundreds were trapped and there was no access for rescue workers following the heavy inferno and fire service could not come to the rescue….

Apart from lives lost to the inferno, many buildings and over fifty vehicles around the gas plant were equally affected and some dead victims were actually recovered in their homes.

Chairman of Anambra state Red Cross, Prof Peter Katchy was at the scene and expressed worry over existence of many filling stations in residential areas in the state.

ANSU will be able to charge tuition fees of up to N251,300 per year from 2015/2016 academic session, as the state government transfers much of the cost of running the university to students.

The increase tuition fees at ANSU is making me think hard about whether the university was the right route for average Anambrarian or to kill off students. I am an alumnus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University. I knew what I paid through to graduate.

I know of two things that can cause tuition fees of college or university to increase.

1. The university spends more - paying faculty more, or building more infrastructures, or conducting more research -- whatever the reason, spending rises and all will boil down on the students and their families.

2 If the state government in this case cut subsidies university (rather than, say, cut spending or solicit alumni donations) to make up the difference.

My fear then is that the outcome of such high fees will be to damage participation and social mobility among students.

Medical Students will pay N251,300 as against 156K they paid last session, Law N186,950 previous N136K, Professional/science based courses N136,950, Non-professional Courses, N126,950.

Now, why would a government who clamour and profess love for education make it almost impossible for his subjects to acquire the basic education even when it is one of the fundamental human rights?

On Sunday, just before going to church, he killed his pregnant wife, removed her eyes, heart and the unborn baby(Only God knows for what) and hid her remains in a big bowl inside their bedroom.

A man of God and the General Overseer of a Zimbabwean church, Pastor Madaristo Ranch, has been arrested after he beheaded his pregnant wife, Pamela Muzondi, with a kitchen knife and hiding the corpse in a dish in the bedroom. After that, he calmly went to his church, Living Word Ministries, and conducted the service before fleeing towards the Mozambican border and was arrested before he could skip into the neighbouring country.

The body of Muzondi was discovered by relatives five days after her husband murdered her, suspecting ritualistic tendencies because her eyes and heart were missing while her stomach was also cut open and the fetus removed.

A relative told a UK based private newspaper:

“She was killed on Sunday and we only discovered her on Friday morning.”

The deceased left behind a 3-year-old child.

29-year old Nigerian girl, Ademuni-Odeke and her friend, Emma Riche-Webber, 30 has been jailed in US after having party with man, Colin Palin and turned around to accuse him of s3xual assault

Police arrested Colin Palin after his girlfriend and a pal made up claims in March 2014. He has been off work with stress ever since.

Shattered Colin told the Sunday People : “They ­destroyed my life. I was terrified. How can I trust anyone again?”


The 56-year-old decorator was held in a cell for five hours and was not cleared for four days.

One of the prestigious and Multimillion Naira hotels (Finotel) located at Agu-Awka, Awka in Anambra State was gutted by fire around 2:00am today.

A guest at the hotel told GP, that the Anambra State Fire Service Commission was called but as usual, they do not have enough water....not up to half drum this time.

He went to to say that the fire could have been prevented if the Fire Service was efficient.

This is so so sad......The cause of the fire that razed down the old building belonging to the hotel is still unknown.
