Was contemplating applying for a visitor visa to SA but after going through this thread extensively, it's not worth the hassle. I can understand people applying for study/business purposes but a holiday should never be this stressful.

I want to apply for MSc IT, my agent said after my one year program, I will be giving 2years post work visa under critical skills which will automatically leads to Irish permanent residency.
That’s why I’m confused seeing most of y’all having issues with visa renewal. Though I did a google research and I found it real but I’m confused why most of you here ain’t talking about getting a PR after the 2years but talking about having issues with visa renewal? Please enlighten a brother before wasting my hardearned money

You are eligible for PR if you've been in Ireland for 5 years straight.

Hello Bjrokenhear003,

I saw your post days ago but I couldn't get to comment as I had alot of catch up with and deadlines to meet, but I have about 10days break so I decided to add my little contribution.

Firstly, congratulations on your 1st class from Griffith College.

What I am going to suggest might not be applicable in Ireland as I don't know much about the system, but this worked for me in the previous country I was.

Does the visa you have allow you to work for a company as an intern without them sponsoring your visa? If yes,
you should considered applying for graduate internship in a company you love to work in and has what it takes to sponsor someone. Even if it's working for free for 1 or 2 months ( suggest working for free if they say no opening, tell them you want to learn), this experience would boost your CV,with this you can show you have got Ireland experience relevant to your field and you might be favoured at the end to be retained and become full time employee. While you do the internship, don't stop applying for jobs o.

Also, you can change your approach of applying for jobs. You can search for companies on LinkedIn especially in Ireland, connect with top personnel and chat them up, ask for potential internship or graduate roles. Even if no roles advertised on their website, they will refer your CV ,that's if they want you to send it to them. You need to sell yourself, you have a 1st class, and ACCA which is plus to any company.

Don't limit your applications to Ireland, try other countries Netherland, Switzerland,UK somewhere like Scotland ( I saw sometime ago that PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Bank of America in UK and some other places that were recruiting finance/accounting graduates) and now is the write time to apply for graduate roles as most companies are currently recruiting graduates including the oil and gas ( check Exxonmobil, shell for commercial roles, these companies will sponsor you irrespective of where you live) .

As a back up plan for you, while you apply for jobs; like other people have mentioned, is to try Canada Express entry. You are 27years old, you already have 110 points with your age. What you need to do now , apply to WES to validate your certificates,(SSCE,Bsc,Msc (it takes about 2months, depending on how fast your schools respond), then while you wait for feedback , you have to write IELTS General and try to score minimum of 7 in Listening, Writing , Reading and speaking. The higher your score, the better. You need about 12K CAD in your account to show you can survive before you get a job , apply to be in the Express entry pool. PLEASE NOTE, JOB IS NOT AUTOMATIC ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD OOO. There are people with good results like you also applying.

Like others mentioned, if you are still interested in studying, you can apply for PhD in the UK, USA Canada, Australia etc ,look for fully paid scholarship . Most phd students can work as a graduate assistant and get paid while studying .

This is the little I can contribute now, I need to run as I have lot of pending courseworks to do.

By the way, I have attached as link to a 35 pages pdf of companies with current openings in 2019/2020 with closing date, it was sent to us by my school few days ago, look through if you find anything relevant.

I tried attaching the Pdf directly here but it was larger than 250kB maximum accepted size for documents. Kindly copy and paste this link on any browser to download it. If it doesn't work, kindly send me a message to my email address above and I will forward the pdf to you directly.

The above link expires in 7 days ( 31st October 2019) and you wont be able to download the pdf again.

Goodluck.

Regards.

Louis

NB.

Please, don't take a wrong decision to marry out of frustration, desperation or depression, unless you truly love the person.

@Bjrokenhear003

Totally agree. Graduate internship is a good way to go. Also i feel like your University/college could have done more to prepare you for the world out there. In just 2 months here, AIT arranged 2 career fairs for students, one in Dublin and on school premises.

We had the opportunity to engage with representatives from different companies and discuss about future openings and how to apply for them when they open.

We've also had series of seminars on how to prepare for interviews and other interesting tips.

See, las las, information is key, don't lose hope.

For those that have arrived.. how about this notice on INIS site about letter of enrollment. Also is return ticket required or just a one way ticket

I'm guessing a letter of enrollment is your admission letter/letter of acceptance from the institution.

And no, a return ticket isn't considered. Heck, they usually never ask for ticket information.

Hi guys,
Can IELTS General training be accepted as a proof of English proficiency?

Their website clearly states Academic but I used General training for my application and was issued. Maybe I was lucky.

Processing takes 6 - 8 weeks. Do you think there'll be enough time before the session starts ? If yes then go ahead.

Hey. Please one question. How long did it take them to issue you a receipt for the part fees you paid. Because I used form A and it's almost two weeks now they haven't given me my receipt, even after paying all in full.

I have written mails and they are will say high volume blah blah blah.

After paying with the form A, you should get a telex from the bank which you then send to the school.

Don't be waiting for a receipt from them if you haven't sent them the telex.

Telex should be ready in less than 3 working days. Depends on the bank.

I'm guessing that's to track the returning of your documents (original copies and passport).
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by lilshon(m): 9:56am On Oct 22, 2018
I have actually.

Their response was that they have no clue and it solely depends on their evaluators. Even encouraged me to send it either way and see if it'd be accepted.

Would've tried it out but I don't have such certificate yet.

If someone here has it though they could try sending it along with their uni degree.

joo2018:
Kindly ask WES on Facebook or Twitter. You can update us on the answer.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by lilshon(m): 11:14pm On Oct 21, 2018
Getting the certificate or transcript isn't the issue.

Question is if it'd be accepted.

joo2018:
Is it a Diploma or a degree? Can you get transcripts for the qualification?
If not, no.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by lilshon(m): 5:45pm On Oct 19, 2018
I really need to determine if these certificates are accepted. There's a lack of clarity.

WES's website says they only evaluate academic certificates/degrees but not professional ones.

But IRCC's website doesn't state that.

paule:

Thank you. Wow, just discovered that their timeline is 12 weeks.

Secondly, do project management professional (PMP) and other ICT certificate like Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco etc qualifiers as professional certificate or must it be MBBS or LLB/M?
