In the same boat but my 2 weeks hasn't elapsed yet. If you have any contact there you can call to follow up and know what's up.

Abuhuhu:
Please it seems WAEC is really delaying now, for more than two weeks, my statement of result has not been ready. Pls who is experiencing similar situation and what can we do.

Congrats. Every victory is worth celebrating no matter how small.

I'm also going through the ECA phase and it's nice seeing positive posts.

Sthill5:
I can finally share my first good news on this thread.

After a grueling 6 months of transcript and verification issues with OOU for my diploma attained in 2006, my ECA is finally ready. Completion date was September 19 but only God and WES knows why it took so long

Also my degree equivalent from the UK (British Computer Society ) was evaluated to be a canadian bachelors degree so I can now officially claim points for two certificates! So if you or someone you know has BCS qualifications in IT, they should evaluate it

Thank you newmum and happytbaby for encouraging me to go through the naija stress of evaluating my diploma. I spent almost 150k and 4 trips to ago-iwoye. Coming back home late at night with bad roads and crazy drivers. If you know Epe express way, you will understand. This is not ppr but its a breakthrough for me. Now awaiting IELTS tomorrow.

No it's not. Best to ask and not jump into conclusions.

Don't you think this question is unnecessary? If you are aware of the bolded then why are you asking this question.

Been trying to wrap my head around something.

When you apply for an EOR and IELTS issue you a new test result, it comes with a new issue date.

So if you're to calculate the 2yrs validity of your result, do you count from the test date or the date the result was issued ?

Because of Labor strike WAEC isn't open, hence delaying WES evaluation. Sigh.

More reasons to leave this hole.

Need some help determining my NOC code. I feel it's either 2174 or 2175. Just need to be certain.

Just for context, I am a software developer that focuses mostly on the client side of the web (front-end).

Thanks in anticipation.

Just imagine. I've gotten more information here in an hour than I've gotten in days crawling their website.

Unfortunately I've already paid for their services so I can't turn back now.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Ifeoma77:

'sending it yourself' just means that you decide to use a different courier from the one they use. The school/organisation still has to prepare the transcript/certificate. You are not even allowed to open their envelope to see what they've packaged for you, all you do is put that envelope into another one and send it off to WES.
If you want to avoid WAEC costs, avoid WES. There are other options for getting the ECA

Contrary to what you believe, I wasn't trying to be sharp. It was just the information I read on WES's website. The part where there are 2 options. 1st is letting the institution send it and the 2nd is sending it yourself.

Just happens that getting the stamp/signature is the difficult part.

I will have to spend the money cry

Ifeoma77:

Using your logic, I can also send my transcript by myself too since I already have the transcript. I can just sign one jagajaga signature across the flap and voila, ECA done.
Oga stop thinking out loud and find the nearest WAEC office. Some 'sharpness' is not worth it, WAEC cost is like 20k, spend this money joor tongue

Sigh. Thanks for the help.

Just more expenses. Hopefully it's for the best.

bLacKGoLd3:

WES will not accept it unless it comes directly from WAEC.

Noted. Thanks a bunch

You can only confirm WAEC certificate from WAEC office.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by lilshon(m): 5:21pm On Sep 24, 2018
They happen to have a copy of the certificate as well. Isn't it the authenticity of the certificate they're verifying? They can be contacted directly to confirm the credential. I'd assume the signature on the envelope isn't a verification metric.

*thinking out loud*

Ifeoma77:

The part where you imagined that you can sign on behalf of the WAEC officials.
Pray tell, what is your plan for the verification stage?

Great work you guys are doing here. The information on the thread is a goldmine.

I'd like to seek some advice. I've gone through the thread thoroughly but I haven't seen any question similar to mine (might be an oversight).

Things is, I'm trying to do my ECA with WES and of course I have to evaluate my WAEC credentials. I happen to have my certificate which means i could make a copy of it myself as opposed to heading to the WAEC office.

My only concern now is the signature/stamp they require on the envelope. Where can I get that ? Will it be accepted if I sign myself ? Would I have to head to their office anyway for that ?

Please advise. Thanks.

quick answer. To have your sim cloned, yes, it must be new unregister sim. No it can't be the one you are already using.

Alright. Thanks

I haven't had any payg related issue until today. It was working up to last night. Transferred the usual 15 box to the 15 naira there by default. Put the sim in my mifi as usual and connected. It worked for only a minute and I got the normal 'you've used blah blah amount'. After which it stopped working. Tried it a few times afterwards still the same thing. I didn't send any code to opt out nor did I get any message that I've been removed from the plan. I just want to know if anyone here is also having this problem. Hopefully it's temporary (i.e. Network issue)
